Nikki Blonsky Makes the “A-List”
Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky blows kisses into the audience as she models on stage during Bravo’s First “A-List Awards” show on Wednesday at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.
Unfortunately for Nikki, her entertainment managers filed a lawsuit against her for breach of contract.
According to Newsday, Blonsky, 20, and her mother, Karen Blonsky, reportedly did not cut Nikki’s firm into the money she earned her Hairspray role.

She needed to wear dark colored hose with that dress. Tyra Banks just had a show on hoisery errors like that. She does need to loose some weight, carrying around all of that weight is not healthy.

Furthermore, there’s no use to putting all the effects of ‘obeisity’ (sp?) you know why? Becuase the media shoves it down our throats every single day whenever they get the chance. Besides what’s the point os saying she’s fat and needs to lose weight? Like Nikki is going to read that and say oh time to go to the gym. It’s her body get over it!

Sorry, to be a complete realist about this–and I have NOT made fun of her to date–when she no longer is given roles based ON HER WEIGHT she will LOSE THE WEIGHT. And people always get upset when the “big girl” gets small because they enjoy sticking people in roles they’ve chosen for them
She IS talented however and I also love her confidence! She fought hard to be where she is today and should be respected and congratulated

I think Nikki is talented but she will have limited career playing the “Fat Girl” roles until she lose the weight. Even Ricki Lake admitted that in US Weekly, she had to lose weight in order to get her talk show or any parts in Hollywood.

I personally don’t like Nikki. I’m not sure why but i remember seeing her doing an interview and… i don’t know… i guess she rubs me the wrong way.. And this is MY opinion. You all got the chance to say YOURS and how much you “love” and “adore” her but again MY opinion. If you can’t take it then you’re all pretty much hypocrites.
Notice how i don’t mention her weight at all…? Yes, so now you can’t say “nobody’s perfect and blah blah” That got freakin Hannah Montana in my head.

Nikki Blonsky has gone further in her career, in her life than most of you EVER will. She’s talented, she’s got a big heart - and that alone, makes her more beautiful than any of you could ever hope to be.
You are all just naive, ignorant fools who need to take a long hard look in the mirror, a reality check would be even better, actually.
Find something else to focus your negative energy on, something productive and not so hateful maybe - remember, karma is a *****. What goes around comes around, you shameless fools.
sasha, #44……..if you were referring to my post #32, I did not say that her ONLY supporters were plus-sized AT ALL.. I said I believe her BIGGEST supporters are girls and women who DO have a weight problem, as they want to see Nikki succeed the way she is!!!
There was nothing wrong with that statement , did not insinuate she doesn’t have “skinny” fans, or that all her fans are fat. You made an issue of my words by twisting them the way you wanted to.

I wonder why Nikki’s weight is such an issue with some of you. It is not your body and if you do not looking at her then stop nobody told you to venture on to a Nikki post. If her weight bothers you so much go to a post that is all about skinny people since that is what you seem to base you opinion on. The one thing I have notice about all you hateful people is that the only thing you have a problem with is her weight so I betting your probably a closet Nikki fan (since you have no complaints about about her talent)
Nikki is truly an amazing person who I believe will go far in hollywood. Change is needed in hollywood and Nikki is just the one to help bring about that change.
Whoever said all of Nikki’s fans are overweight is the most ridiculous person. Nikki has her fans becasue of her amazing talent and her wonderful personality.
all u ppl who r saying shes ugly and fat r horrible. by saying that she is fat and judging her by her weight is like u r judging almost half of america for not being one of those stick figure celebrities, who if u think about, r also unhealthy because they r to skinny. personally i think nikki is amazing, and i like the fact that she is not afraid to wear that dress.
Nikki is amazing and I feel sorry for those who are too shallow to see that.
Health is not solely dependent on weight. and even if Nikki was unhealthy for some reason like she took up smoking or got cancer, she’d still be a good person and no matter what she does I’m still allowed to love her and be a fan of hers.
Why judge someone on their health? It’s not fair and it’s mean. Plus I believe she is healthy cause hello she is a dancer and we can’t tell whether or not someone exercises and eats right just by looking at them so STOP saying she’s unhealthy when you don’t know anything except how to judge and hate those who are different than you because you feel threatened.
I don’t know much about her, but I am surprised at the hate. I saw her on the local news when Hairspray came out and she said that the girls who bullied her in school are now asking for her autograph. She said she harbored no grudges. Seems like a nice girl. Her face is pretty, but she does need to get to a healthier weight.

I’m so sorry to hear about the lawsuit, but it happens alot in Hollywood. I believe it is over a verbal agreement so hopefully it doesn’t hold. But it is a real shame that she has to deal with this.
It’s cool that she’s participating in the fashion show. I don’t care for the dress. She has lost quite a bit of weight since the fall, which you can see in her face and figure in other appearances, but this dress is too poofy at the bottom. The top is also too close to the neck and doesn’t let her show off her best assets! ;) But I love the cinched in waist, and the red belt!
Also, she’s 19, not 20 ;)
