Selena Gomez: No Sex Before Marriage!
Selena Gomez, star of the Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place, plans to practice abstinence until marriage, reports Extra.
The 15-year-old tween sensation, who’s on the fast track to becoming the new Miley Cyrus, has declared she won’t be having sex until marriage.
Selena declared, “I said, ‘Dad, I want a promise ring.’ He went to the church and got it blessed. He actually used me as an example for other kids. I’m going to keep my promise to myself, to my family and to God.”
All of the Jonas Brothers practice abstinence and wear purity rings.

That’s very easy to say when your 15 and have never ever had a intense relationship and lack the maturity and are still technically a child. But once you grow older and become an adult it’s not that easy especially if you are in a long term relationship and very committed to the person you love /care for a lot and it becomes much harder to keep a vow you made when you were a 15 year old child with no idea of what real relationships are like. I Also find it wrong to talk about whether a 15 year old remains a virgin as that is none of my business and she should keep all that stuff private. By talking about it she is inviting people to take an interest in her private sex life.
i think its very immature how people question or doubt her. People need to stop comparing her to Miley Cyrus, they’re two different people! She’ a great role model and I only hope the best for her!

Its easier to say when you’re 14/15.

hahaha seems like every single Disney channel star has a purity ring please just shut up no one talked about it until the jonas started the whole thing i have a purity ring sense a long time them they are all just lairs not the jonas brothers sealena and miley i give then 3 or 5 years before they get knocked up just like the other young stars that suposivly are good examples

miley cyrus is like trash now, there is no way that her popularity will be as high as it used to be, even for her album…and she has no one to blame but herself and the bad decisions her parents made

I think she is very well intentioned and i commend her for believing she’s not gonna do it (at least for now)… i think the idea that the ring is what’s gonna secure the deal is a little mocking.
AND might I add, these disney spawn all say the same thing no sex before marriage… but if you notice… for them, everything inbetween is a - ok ;)

Zac and Vanessa rings are not puritin rings. The rings represent their relationship between the two of them.
I just hope Selena knows what she is announcing in public, because now she just target herself for pap and gossip publications awaiting for her to make one mistake.

Zac and Vanessa do not wear purity rings. They have rings that say in hawaiian, sweetheart.

this is so gag worthy..these 15 year olds walk around like they’re all high and mighty claiming this or that. if you want to do that then fine do that…why do you have to proclaim it to the world? and like everyone has already said, it is so easy to say that when you are 15…to walk around claiming like you’re self-righteous just proves immaturity.
