Next Miley? Does she sing? I’ve never heard her on the radio or on DC music videos? Plus, “Wizards” has a much narrower audience than “Hannah Montana,” which has humor and situations older kids can enjoy, (even if they don’t admit it). Plus, you don’t ever see a class full of little girls dressed like Alex (Selena’s character on the show), where as it seems every five-year-old’s favorite princess is the pop star.

The only way they are the same is they both at one point promised to stay true to their spiritual values by not having sex prior to marriage. That’s great if it holds true, in of itself, but doesn’t mean anything about her career.

I’m all for being pure until marriage, don’t get me wrong, if that’s the road you choose - good for you! But when someone feels the need to capitalize on others’ misfortunes and does so by publicizing something as personal as their virginal status as a way of showing what a fabulous person they are- that’s pretty pathetic. Is she so afraid that she’ll get lost in the shuffle among Miley Cyrus - who is perhaps the most famous teenager in the world, the legend of High School Musical, and the Jonas Brothers (who grow in popularity daily), that she feels the need to say “HEY!!! Wait! Don’t forget about me! They’re human, they do things wrong like normal, common people! I’m a virgin, I’m perfect! Love me!!!”

I don’t think so. Sorry, Selena. You’ll have to gain fame and fortune some other way. Try not to step on your colleagues and other actors along the way by taking advantage of whatever is currently amiss in their lives.
