Michelle Williams takes a leisurely walk through New York City on Sunday with her daughter Matilda, 2 1/2.
At the Australians in Film 2008 Breakthrough Awards in Beverly Hills this past Thursday, director Gregor Jordan announced the formation of a Heath Ledger scholarship fund to help struggling Australian actors. Each year, one young actor from Australia will be given the chance to make it in Hollywood.
Gregor, who befriended Heath after directing him in 1999’s Two Hands, said, “It’s going to involve a number of benefactors and there’s been a lot of interest already. I was talking to Michelle Williams, his partner and the mother of his child, today and Michelle has said she would be very proud and happy to be the first benefactor.”

#32 and #33 that’s just rude! I feel for Michelle. She doesn’t want this type of attention especially when the father of her child died 5 short months ago. Leave them alone. The poor little girl. Matilda is beautiful with her little dress and cute hair cut and I love Michelle she looks great. Also Michelle was Heath’s last girlfriend and Matilda’s mother so I think it’s right that they call her his ‘partner’ I’m really proud of Michelle for giving money for that scholarship in Heath’s name. She’s great.

Michelle was not Heath’s last girlfriend, he was dating Gemma Ward at the time of his death.
It’s sad that she has to be a single mother now that Heath is gone, but being the mother of his child does not make her Heath’s widow and she shouldn’t be treated as such. They haven’t been together for around a year now (she even said in an interview given in Dec that they had not been together for about six months) so I don’t understand the sentimentalization that continues to surround Michelle and Heath.
#55How do you know for a fact that he was dating Gemma Ward?? There has never been any confirmation or pics of the two as a couple. Yes they were friends and hung out..But the fact is, we do not know if they were any more than that..
We would never have known who Heath Ledger (or any of these people) was if it weren’t for Hollywood.

It is obvious that Heath Ledger was happiest & healthiest when he was full - time w/both of his girls. He had said before that Michelle was his soulmate. This is no doubt the reason that the public & the media cling tightly to Michelle & Matilda when they think of Heath Ledger. If you look at the state he was in after his split from Michelle, you can tell just by looking at pics that he was a mess. SO, nobody in their right mind wants to acknowledge the numerous, less than classy women he had in his life before his death. He had been linked to Lindsay Lohan, Helena Christiansen, Mary-Kate Olsen & Gemma Ward…..hmmm, what does that say about these people???!!! They are obviously less than model citizens.
Michelle is a beautiful & talented actress. She appears to be a very excellent mother as well. She should be praised for her composure during these past 5 months. She has so much she could probably say, but she won’t. She has remained true to what Heath was all about…..privacy.

He looked happiest and healthiest when he was with Michelle? Um, no. He looked sad and miserable when he was with her. She sucked the life out of him. He looked best when he was with Naomi. And Michelle hasn’t always been a model citizen, she has a lot of skeletons in her closet too.

I think we all have better things to do than judge celebrities that we don’t even know. Heath Ledger is dead. End of story. I’m just saying the papparazzi needs to back off of a 2 1/2 y/o kid. Whatever issues you have with Michelle Williams are obviously for you to deal with. I have better things to do than judge others.
I do however wonder if you know Michelle personally??? If not, than how can you be so sure of the “skeletons” in her closet? Did you know Heath personally as well? I 100% agree with you #62 Dana. He looked happiest with Michelle and Matilda he even said so in interviews that he didn’t feel alive until he had both his girls. And #61 she sucked the life out of him?! I don’t think so. And whats with bringing up Naomi Watts? They were together what like 5 years ago was it? Michelle is so pretty and looking pretty pissed! lol Matilda is beautiful but I think she misses her daddy. R.I.P. Heath.

Matilda is adorable and looks just like Heath. She does seem like she has an old soul about her. She seems very serious and I don’t think i have ever seen a picture of her smiling. I admire Michelle and it’s obvious she doesn’t want to be hounded by the paps. She needs to move to Illinois or something and be low key!

To “EMMA” NO. 66…”Beefy”????? She is TWO years old!!!! My lord, have you ever heard the expression “baby fat”? Not that she is fat..but that is an absolutely normal size for two years old! She is a toddler, not a teenager!
I have so much respect for Michelle Williams. I loved what she said about helping Matilda remember her father. She said Matilda will be brought up with the best memories of Heath. She is truly a wounderful mother.
