Honor Warren: Jessica Alba’s Baby Daughter!
As reported yesterday, Jessica Alba gave birth to a healthy baby girl this past weekend at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
People reports that Honor Marie Warren was born on Saturday.
“I don’t want to be my child’s best friend. I want to be a mom,” Alba recently told Fit Pregnancy. “But I do want my child to come to me when they have problems and need to talk, so it’s going to be about treading that line.”
Congrats to Jess, Cashers and Honor!

I really don’t get the negativity regarding the name Honor. As groundcontrol and I pointed out, there was already a precedence with the actress Honor Blackman, one of the very first Bond girls. And Honor Blackman had the name at a time when they used to rename movie stars like Norma Jean Baker to Marilyn Monroe and Marion Morrison to John Wayne.
hopefully she did not name her after Honor Blackman as the role model b/c honor blackman During her first marriage, had an abortion, although doing so was illegal at the time. Newly divorced, she had a nervous breakdown, and was hospitalized for a month. She was known for being a mess!
I think Honor is a beautiful name–reminds me of the Pilgrims, when they named their childrem names like Patience and Faith. Much better than Apple. Congrats to the happy couple!
Why all celebrities(Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Demi Moore,…) gave the strangest name for them children?

What is with celebrities? They think they can name their kids extravagant names and get away with it. Pilot Inspektor Lee, Banjo, Apple Martin, Rumor Willis, Moon Unit Zappa, and now Honor Warren. I honestly don’t get it.
She has reasons for naming her daughter Honor Warren, she’ll probably tell us when they offically annouce that she did have the kid.
The girl’s nickname is really cute though-you could call her Hon. Like, “Hi, Hon”

Bet anything the child will grow up and use her middle name only. Honor is a dishonorable name for an innocent baby. These starlets are just so full of themselves never thinking of their children at all!
i love the name honor. it’s so pretty and elegant. just what jessica is. and for those who are like “honor sucks its so arrogant blah blah blah”, there was a gilmore girls character named honor (honor huntzberger played by devon sorvari and then honor blackman the bond girl. people should really stop being critical because names aren’t so common.

Excuse me! You are trashing a woman because she chose to have an abortion. Why don’t you trash the backward laws that forced women to go to back alley abortionists. And spare me the crap about it being illegal. Birth control was also illegal in most places even the US do you think it was awful for people to break the law and get birth control as well.
Honor Blackman is an actor with many fine performances on stage and on film. She was the very poplular original female lead on the Avengers - which Diana Rigg later took over after Honor left the series. She also is a strong supporter of replacing the monarchy with a republic. Despite that a number of years back she was offered a Queens honor and she refused it on principle.
The fact that you would dismiss an accomplished and talented woman because during one month of her life she wisely sought mental health assistance in the 1950s says a lot about you.
Honor was never known as a “mess” and she is indeed a great role model for women.
Didn’t we have enough ignorant misogyny during this presidential campaign? When does it finally stop once and for all?
Sorry for the rant. I know this thread is about Jessica Alba and her baby. But since it’s a baby girl, it seems appropriate to stand up for the rights of baby girls. Let’s hope it’s better for little Honor when she grows up.

As I’m not a native english speaker, it seems really really really strange to name their child “honor” or something like “Destiny” etc… sounds extremely corny.
But by the way, I absolutely love “Apple”, it’s the only strange celibrity-baby name I like.

My name is Honor. It is actually a very traditional name in the UK. I am the 4th in a line of Honors (Aunt, Grandmother etc…) and while it can kind of be a pain to have to explain my name all the time, I actually appreciate it now.

I think the name is nice and unique i would also like my kids to have their own names different from other people’s name, i think it’s lovely like the mother, congrats to her.
One of the most famous Honor’s is Honor Blackman, the Bond girl. It’s not an odd name as people think.
The name Honor is really cute, but I wouldn’t pick Marie as a middle name. I probably would pick something like Faith as a middle name
