OlderAngelina Jolie: Brad Pitt is Hard to Shop For!
Angelina Jolie gave a refreshingly candid interview to Entertainment Weekly while checking out a window display of Corum watches at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat in the south of France.
On her partner not being easy to buy things for: “Brad is the hardest person to shop for. ‘He has impeccable design taste. And whenever he sees something he likes, he buys it for himself.”
On Brad’s most recent gift to her (a gun-charm necklace she wore to her EW photo shoot): ”Mad, our 6-year-old, draws lots of war scenarios. He’s all into war and guns. So for Mother’s Day he drew a machine gun, and Brad had it made into a necklace, which is really sweet. It’s really cute. I think it’s really good!”
On some people who can’t reconcile her old persona, where she talked about knives and cutting, with her more recent identity as a mother and activist: “But again, it’s not that different. The reason I talked about going through certain pains or even cutting myself is that I was already out the other side. I knew there were people that do that — and somehow are happy that somebody admitted they did and discussed how they got out of it. I don’t see the point of doing an interview unless you’re going to share the things you learn in life and the mistakes you make. So to admit that I’m extremely human and have done some dark things, I don’t think makes me unusual or unusually dark. I think it actually is the right thing to do and I’d like to think it’s the nice thing to do.”
On anything she’s said that she wishes she hadn’t (like all that business about wearing the vial of Billy Bob Thornton’s blood around your neck when you two were married): “No! It was never a vial anyway. It was like a flower press. It was like from a slight cut on your finger and you press your fingerprint in. It was kind of a sweet gesture. I thought it was kind of romantic! I still love him dearly and think the world of him and I’m proud to have been his wife for a time. I don’t believe in regrets. It’s a dangerous habit to get into — it makes you pause in your life if you start thinking back and questioning yourself.”
On people saying being pregnant is bad for one’s sex life: “No, I think it’s quite the opposite. It’s great for the sex life. It just makes you a lot more creative. So you have fun, and as a woman you’re just so round and full.”
On Brad’s new tattoo: “I drew that. We went to Davos. It’s not that we were bored at the World Economic Forum, but one night we didn’t have anything to do, so I was drawing on his back.”

I’ll throw my 2 cents into the gun comments. I will side with Angelina on this one. In this case, boys will be boys and playing with toy guns or drawing them does not mean anything is wrong. We all grew up playing “Cops and Robbers” or “Cowboys and Indians” and MOST of us grew up normal.
I like how Angelina was so frank about her past transgressions and doesn’t feel the need to rationalize them away, but instead accepts her mistakes, learns from them and walks proudly into the future. Way to go.
wow look at this cover compared to the sexy bombshell over of Vanity Fair. it’s like night and day.
the cover shot doesn’t matter, what gives more weight is the interview especially if it gives new infos.
i think angie is more concerned with other more important things than a supposedly bad shoot for a cover.
#190: Angelina’s eyes are hazel…can turn blue or green depending on the light or the background used. That is why when you see her eyes changing color, don’t just attribute it to photoshop. Her eyes are just one more of her magnificent assets.
I’m sure the cover has something to do with the photographer. They are trying to find a new angle. I personally hate this kind of photography. It’s the reason there are so many ugly models around. The photographer can’t handle AJ’s beauty. They don’t need to complicate her look she’s simply a vision… naturally.
She lives her life without regrets……… I LIKE THAT!!!!!!….I LIKE THAT VERY MUCH!!!!!!.
As always, people find things to criticise her, to twist the facts for their own satisfactions, just so they can say negative things about her. As if these people are so perfect, so immortal and sinless. The fact is that they are malicious, cold-hearted coward and pathological liars. Their intentions are just purely to hurt and to pollute the minds of others. Well, you are WRONG. People here can discern, please, don’t insult our intelligence. You pathetic dead-end human beings (?) !!!
Amazing kickazz interview ! Loved it as i have alway thought Angie is a phenomenal women with a capital P completely loving her honesty in this anything goes chat.. Angie was so open with various questions. Brad is so thoughful with the sentiental jewalry. They both score a 10 for being so unique in their gift buying or manufacturing. Its all about just being themselves and loving their kids. Angie is very content and in love with Brad…They make a beautiful love story.
Brad and Angie have fun together they laugh alot as busy as they both are . That is so great. imo thats extremely important in a relationship expecially when you both are the most sought after sexiest couple in the world…Can not imagine .. Whatever she is doing she is doing it right just being AngelinaJolie
Man thats a tall order but Angie handles it smoothly with her cool easy going truthfulness every time. Angie is and always has been extremely unique. Cant help but lo0ve that about her.
My favoite cute quote of many was when Angie said she stopped correcting people using the husband wife reference.

Thoroughly enjoyed the EW interview. Dave Karger did a good job because he didn’t try to insert his views on to the interviewee as the journalist in VF did recently.
Angelina just glows with fulfilment and contentment right now. You can sense it in her interviews. She knows and appreciates that she is in a great place in her life.

According to James McEvoy’s blog, he confirms the news. But speculation as to why is still a mystery. They still have premieres in the US. Are they gonna cancel those too? Dumb studio move if you were creating a premiere around Angelina knowing she was pregnant for months ahead of time knowing she may or may not be able to attend.

OK I confess, I’m surprised that the promoters of Wanted didn’t have Plan B in place if Angelina couldn’t make it to the premiere.
I’m also surprised that they thought it wasn’t worth putting common, morgan James etc on display for the premiere just because Angelina couldn’t make it.
#215: julia, that is one of the things I love about this woman. She is not bound by the PC rules that much. She has conviction and I bet that is one of the things that attracted Brad to her.
No namby pamby miss, this one. She’s a fighter through and through. That is why she is so good in action roles. She has the heart of a warrior.

He just liked it! The picture everybody saw was kind of awkward, but it just lines up beautifully on his back, JUST ENHANCES THE PART OF THE BODY I LIKE.
Jen does not have a chance. Angie I believe brings that excitement and mystery to Brad. That is probably why he fell for her hard. She offered so much more to life then what he had before. Such a much more. Going out to dinner every other nite, dining with the same friends (mostly Jen’s friends), vacationing mainly in Mexico and working and being apart from one another. Sure his relationship with Jen was getting boring. Don’t think life with Angie is ever really boring although she said that “their life is quite boring”. Don’t think so with 4 kids and two on the way. Also, Angie and Brad are very interesting individuals. Think Brad’s true potential was being limited by X. Think he is more created and more happy now. Sure the s e x is fantastic! Beyond his imagination.
Love how she said that Mad gets his personal time last 30 minutes at night and Shi gets up first and gets her private time.
She is such a interesting and fantastic person. Brad has become more interesting since getting with Angie. Before that he was just a pretty boy.

This has been a great thread - a fantastic interview, where she comes across as such an authentic person - someone you wished you could know personally! which is not the case with many people in the media spotlight - I am frankly quite happy NOT to know some of them!
Was thinking about why they are having the twins in France - I think this is not escaping the media so much, as deliberately creating links between all the children in their family. You know - they are all born in foreign countries, none of them in the USA, it makes the adopted children less different. They can all have their birth place OS!

She so frank , open, honest and so down to earth. Those are the very reasons I so love her. Her beautiful looks are just bonus. Hooking up with Brad Pitt is another medal. I am more than satisfied.

I abhor graphic novel type flicks but I will see Wanted for Angelina.
Like that guy said in New Orleans, if you want to see Brad or Angelina go to their movies. That’s where they are at.
