Angelina Jolie: Brad Pitt is Hard to Shop For!
Angelina Jolie gave a refreshingly candid interview to Entertainment Weekly while checking out a window display of Corum watches at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat in the south of France.
On her partner not being easy to buy things for: “Brad is the hardest person to shop for. ‘He has impeccable design taste. And whenever he sees something he likes, he buys it for himself.”
On Brad’s most recent gift to her (a gun-charm necklace she wore to her EW photo shoot): ”Mad, our 6-year-old, draws lots of war scenarios. He’s all into war and guns. So for Mother’s Day he drew a machine gun, and Brad had it made into a necklace, which is really sweet. It’s really cute. I think it’s really good!”
On some people who can’t reconcile her old persona, where she talked about knives and cutting, with her more recent identity as a mother and activist: “But again, it’s not that different. The reason I talked about going through certain pains or even cutting myself is that I was already out the other side. I knew there were people that do that — and somehow are happy that somebody admitted they did and discussed how they got out of it. I don’t see the point of doing an interview unless you’re going to share the things you learn in life and the mistakes you make. So to admit that I’m extremely human and have done some dark things, I don’t think makes me unusual or unusually dark. I think it actually is the right thing to do and I’d like to think it’s the nice thing to do.”
On anything she’s said that she wishes she hadn’t (like all that business about wearing the vial of Billy Bob Thornton’s blood around your neck when you two were married): “No! It was never a vial anyway. It was like a flower press. It was like from a slight cut on your finger and you press your fingerprint in. It was kind of a sweet gesture. I thought it was kind of romantic! I still love him dearly and think the world of him and I’m proud to have been his wife for a time. I don’t believe in regrets. It’s a dangerous habit to get into — it makes you pause in your life if you start thinking back and questioning yourself.”
On people saying being pregnant is bad for one’s sex life: “No, I think it’s quite the opposite. It’s great for the sex life. It just makes you a lot more creative. So you have fun, and as a woman you’re just so round and full.”
On Brad’s new tattoo: “I drew that. We went to Davos. It’s not that we were bored at the World Economic Forum, but one night we didn’t have anything to do, so I was drawing on his back.”

she’s a text book example. All looks and no brains. How the hell did she become the U.N.’s goodwill ambassador…? She must’ve paid the U.N.

Good Lord, I loved this interview.. Very , very cool!
Cheers Jared!
I really like the interview. Angelina is AMAZING!
I don’t get why fans reply to comments that say something negative about Angelina? Why not ignore it if you’re so bothered by it? It would help a great deal if you didn’t give them attention instead writing ‘HATER!!!1111″
i agree with #21 that cover is like not very interesting or attractive.wonder what made them do that??

You mean, Jennifer Aniston who said her husband wasn’t the love of her life.
to the left , to the left.
She knows you don’t like her and she loves it.
ok no more talking to morons
LOVE HER LOVE HER LOVE HER
Angie is so candid and like, this is me take it or leave it but this is who I am. I love her for it.
Hey, three people posting at the very same time.
Great interview!
I love that EW shows up Vanity Fair — this is a real interviewer! Not someone who wants to find something to twist into a pre-set agenda. The photographs are incredible!! In many ways better than the ones in VF by the famous Patrick D.
BTW: Did FF’s server blow up again or just drown in that cesspool over there.

I know, right? wtf?
64,that is really funny
I take it Angelina didn’t take art lessons.
How romantic is that? :D she doodles on his back and he saves it for life in the form of a tattoo…. Ah, to be so madly in love.
I can’t understand how you can be Good Ambassador for refugees (which have to go out of their countries because war) and love guns and introduce your children in guns and war plays…
Yes, as children, all of us have played with water guns, and if you are an actress and you have to use a gun in a movie, you have to. But I think she and her son love too much this world… Which is weird, but it’s even weirder when you are so involved in refugees… For me is just hypocrite.
And about Brad’s tattoo… they were bored so she drew something in his back? How much sad it’s to see a 44 year old man being so pathetic (about a woman)…
Now, you can insult me and say I hate Angelina, I’m a Jennifer fan, or whatever you want… Come on!
I always tend to like her interviews.
bye
