OlderAngelina Jolie: Brad Pitt is Hard to Shop For!
Angelina Jolie gave a refreshingly candid interview to Entertainment Weekly while checking out a window display of Corum watches at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat in the south of France.
On her partner not being easy to buy things for: “Brad is the hardest person to shop for. ‘He has impeccable design taste. And whenever he sees something he likes, he buys it for himself.”
On Brad’s most recent gift to her (a gun-charm necklace she wore to her EW photo shoot): ”Mad, our 6-year-old, draws lots of war scenarios. He’s all into war and guns. So for Mother’s Day he drew a machine gun, and Brad had it made into a necklace, which is really sweet. It’s really cute. I think it’s really good!”
On some people who can’t reconcile her old persona, where she talked about knives and cutting, with her more recent identity as a mother and activist: “But again, it’s not that different. The reason I talked about going through certain pains or even cutting myself is that I was already out the other side. I knew there were people that do that — and somehow are happy that somebody admitted they did and discussed how they got out of it. I don’t see the point of doing an interview unless you’re going to share the things you learn in life and the mistakes you make. So to admit that I’m extremely human and have done some dark things, I don’t think makes me unusual or unusually dark. I think it actually is the right thing to do and I’d like to think it’s the nice thing to do.”
On anything she’s said that she wishes she hadn’t (like all that business about wearing the vial of Billy Bob Thornton’s blood around your neck when you two were married): “No! It was never a vial anyway. It was like a flower press. It was like from a slight cut on your finger and you press your fingerprint in. It was kind of a sweet gesture. I thought it was kind of romantic! I still love him dearly and think the world of him and I’m proud to have been his wife for a time. I don’t believe in regrets. It’s a dangerous habit to get into — it makes you pause in your life if you start thinking back and questioning yourself.”
On people saying being pregnant is bad for one’s sex life: “No, I think it’s quite the opposite. It’s great for the sex life. It just makes you a lot more creative. So you have fun, and as a woman you’re just so round and full.”
On Brad’s new tattoo: “I drew that. We went to Davos. It’s not that we were bored at the World Economic Forum, but one night we didn’t have anything to do, so I was drawing on his back.”

Passing Through did you see my post to you from last night. Apparently Truth thinks you and I have a lot in common. You forgot the links that gave you the info on Brad’s and Angie’s salaries. I didn’t forget where I read about them buying, then renting the house in Paris. It was on People.com. It isn’t anything major. When she was asked to be the child’s godmother, the tabloid reporters asked her if she would ever babysit with the child, and you know what her answer to that was? NO.
If she won’t even babysit her godchild for a few hours, do you think she’d want to be bothered having a child of her own?

Alright, on this the eve of celebrating the healing of refugees around the world I will start with the healing for Ms Aniston.
Here is my proposition: that Brad and Angie have stretched out a healing hand to Ms Aniston - after all, the divorcing parties did say they still cared about each other - to help her become involved with something of substance in which to find herself and help others. It really is when we reach outside of ourselves that we truly find ourselves. Perhaps Ms Aniston herself asked Brad and Angie for suggestions of how to be of more help to others, ergo, a Jeffrey Sachs meeting.
Scoff if you will. But that is what I choose to believe in the spirit of healing. I am choosing to believe in the inherent decency of all people.
With one eye open.
It is so funny that the supposed Angie haters know more about what Angie is doing and saying then many of her true fans. They are so obsessed with her. It makes me happy to see them continue to comment on her threads. It just makes her more and more popular. Keep up the good work haters. On the contrary, I have a five (soon to be six) year old son and my husband and i do no not condone violence. There for he does not have these violent images, and is a very peaceful little boy with no thoughts of war or guns. Sad that a child would be preoccupied with warfare.
I guess your child wasn’t born in Cambodia or taken to refugee camps to play with displaced children. There are two schools of thought here — and both have a point.

I agree that Peeps should be ashamed…but X should be more ashamed. Why even go into Angie’s territory? The Coquettes tried to get her to participate in an African charity event they did last summer and X wouldn’t hear of it. Now she’s suddenly huddling with Dr. Sachs for 20 minutes? What’s she asking him about other than Angelina & Brad? B#tch doesn’t even know how to spell “Africa” let alone where it’s at or anything about the countries there. She probably thinks of Africa as being, “That really hot place with lots of sand where the pyramids and King Tut are from.”

I congratulate you and your husband. However, just because a child may like warfare now, does not mean they will like it later. Children are different and people are different. Some people think its great not to teach their child about violence but then encourage children to be racist, sexist, homophobic. I have learned that in life that it is the racist, sexist and homophobic people who possess the most dangerous weapons - far more dangerous than guns. Indeed, guns are the tools of war, but racism,intolerance, sexism etc are often used as reasons for war.
It appears to me that Angelina and Brad are raising their children wonderfully. Maddox’s love for warfare is a child’s fantasy not a hoped for reality.

I was just wondering how many fans of Jolie really get her ” True Message” and become involved in one of her humanitarian efforts, rather than just spend their time becoming more infatuated with her personal life. It seems to me that the best way to really show your respect for Jolie would to step up to the plate and become more involved in one of her projects she cares so much about. One of their best projects is with the international rescue Committe: http://www.notonourwatchproject.org. If everyone on this website would just donate $1.00 each, it would help those in Darfur struggling against the onslaught of genocide. Jolie and Pitt both say, ” the main reason they are so willing to open up about their life and remain in the public eye is to convince people to volunteer or donate to help those in need that can not help themselves”
Kathy, #1169, I think your message is great! I went to the site and donated $5.00 to Pitt and Jolie’s humanitarian project for Darfur. You are right about what Jolie’s true message is all about; it is about helping someone first before you help yourself. We all tend to get caught up with the hype about someone’s life rather than, what they are truly trying to do. I do respect this woman and her efforts to help in this world and I think the best way I can show my respect to her is to follow in her footsteps and make an effort to help someone. There are almost 1200 hits on this website, imagine what would happen if people stop bickering and gave a donation instead !!!!! For all JOLIE fans, stand up and show your respect for this great lady and give something to her one of her humanitarian efforts!!!!!

She constantly talks about her love and respect for Billy Bob in interviews, , but what about her love for Brad. I have read almost all of her interviews, and she has never said that she loves Brad. She has said that she Loves Brad as a Father, and that they don’t tell the other that they love them, so is there love there. Also the same with Brad, he has never really talked about his feeling for her in interviews, but he acknowledges his feeing for Jennifer, or some caring word. Do they really love each other or is it tolerating one another for the sake of the kids. And please don’t hate on me because I am a loyal Brangelina fan.
