OlderAngelina Jolie: Brad Pitt is Hard to Shop For!
Angelina Jolie gave a refreshingly candid interview to Entertainment Weekly while checking out a window display of Corum watches at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat in the south of France.
On her partner not being easy to buy things for: “Brad is the hardest person to shop for. ‘He has impeccable design taste. And whenever he sees something he likes, he buys it for himself.”
On Brad’s most recent gift to her (a gun-charm necklace she wore to her EW photo shoot): ”Mad, our 6-year-old, draws lots of war scenarios. He’s all into war and guns. So for Mother’s Day he drew a machine gun, and Brad had it made into a necklace, which is really sweet. It’s really cute. I think it’s really good!”
On some people who can’t reconcile her old persona, where she talked about knives and cutting, with her more recent identity as a mother and activist: “But again, it’s not that different. The reason I talked about going through certain pains or even cutting myself is that I was already out the other side. I knew there were people that do that — and somehow are happy that somebody admitted they did and discussed how they got out of it. I don’t see the point of doing an interview unless you’re going to share the things you learn in life and the mistakes you make. So to admit that I’m extremely human and have done some dark things, I don’t think makes me unusual or unusually dark. I think it actually is the right thing to do and I’d like to think it’s the nice thing to do.”
On anything she’s said that she wishes she hadn’t (like all that business about wearing the vial of Billy Bob Thornton’s blood around your neck when you two were married): “No! It was never a vial anyway. It was like a flower press. It was like from a slight cut on your finger and you press your fingerprint in. It was kind of a sweet gesture. I thought it was kind of romantic! I still love him dearly and think the world of him and I’m proud to have been his wife for a time. I don’t believe in regrets. It’s a dangerous habit to get into — it makes you pause in your life if you start thinking back and questioning yourself.”
On people saying being pregnant is bad for one’s sex life: “No, I think it’s quite the opposite. It’s great for the sex life. It just makes you a lot more creative. So you have fun, and as a woman you’re just so round and full.”
On Brad’s new tattoo: “I drew that. We went to Davos. It’s not that we were bored at the World Economic Forum, but one night we didn’t have anything to do, so I was drawing on his back.”

I can’t understand how you can be Good Ambassador for refugees (which have to go out of their countries because war) and love guns and introduce your children in guns and war plays…
Yes, as children, all of us have played with water guns, and if you are an actress and you have to use a gun in a movie, you have to. But I think she and her son love too much this world… Which is weird, but it’s even weirder when you are so involved in refugees… For me is just hypocrite.

With a house full of kids, Jolie says she needs help - so it’s a good thing there’s family around to pitch in. “[Brad’s] mom and dad are on standby to come out and help,” she says.

They can’t have it both ways. i really think that she shoots her mouth off to convince people that she is so happy and has the perfect life, but I think she probablly has grown tired of having a whipping boy and would like a man not a puppy

I really admire what Angelina has done and think she’s very insperational to many women out there. She’s so independant and very outspoken and Brad fell for her heart and how outgoing she is. Always adventerous and fun is any guys dream, Brad seems so in love with Angelina something he didn’t have with his X. Love you Angie and keep up the good work.

Wow, what a great interview, she is always so outspoken, each time we get to see a new face of her. And I know there will be a lot of comments about Mad drawing guns. He’s six years old, at that age a lot of boys are fascinated by guns, it’s still innocent play and doesn’t have anything to do with wanting to hurt anybody, it’s more the action and sound, playing a war scene fascinates most boys of that age. As long as you don’t idolize the guns or vehemently oppose them (so they become even more fascinating to some), but tell them what a gun is used for, teach them compassion and good values, and to distinguish between a game and a real life situation, it is fine, he’ll grow out of it.

I cannot understand why you write such a long post. You don’t like her, so why did you spend time reading the interview? You knew you don’t like her, so why are you even here?
She sounds very happy. She must be happy. Why do you insist that she is not happy? Mat Damon has said (answering a question in an interview referring to TGS) that AJ’s role is so very unlike her, that she would never suffer in a bad relationship. “She would have knocked me out!” So when she says she is happy, she is!
They always find an excuse to be together so you know it’s not just the sex. They are yin and yang…they go together like peanut butter and jelly…and so on and so forth.

I also love how she says she yell Hunny and he comes dashing towards them to pick the child up so she does not have to bend down.
She just loves carrying her babies.
The sex is better PG man this woman is happy!!
I love how honest she is about everthing. You can tell she is not sensoring herself except when she is tallking about extreems ha she leaves us to wonder, but I think we all got the main jest of this.
