OlderAngelina Jolie: Brad Pitt is Hard to Shop For!
Angelina Jolie gave a refreshingly candid interview to Entertainment Weekly while checking out a window display of Corum watches at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat in the south of France.
On her partner not being easy to buy things for: “Brad is the hardest person to shop for. ‘He has impeccable design taste. And whenever he sees something he likes, he buys it for himself.”
On Brad’s most recent gift to her (a gun-charm necklace she wore to her EW photo shoot): ”Mad, our 6-year-old, draws lots of war scenarios. He’s all into war and guns. So for Mother’s Day he drew a machine gun, and Brad had it made into a necklace, which is really sweet. It’s really cute. I think it’s really good!”
On some people who can’t reconcile her old persona, where she talked about knives and cutting, with her more recent identity as a mother and activist: “But again, it’s not that different. The reason I talked about going through certain pains or even cutting myself is that I was already out the other side. I knew there were people that do that — and somehow are happy that somebody admitted they did and discussed how they got out of it. I don’t see the point of doing an interview unless you’re going to share the things you learn in life and the mistakes you make. So to admit that I’m extremely human and have done some dark things, I don’t think makes me unusual or unusually dark. I think it actually is the right thing to do and I’d like to think it’s the nice thing to do.”
On anything she’s said that she wishes she hadn’t (like all that business about wearing the vial of Billy Bob Thornton’s blood around your neck when you two were married): “No! It was never a vial anyway. It was like a flower press. It was like from a slight cut on your finger and you press your fingerprint in. It was kind of a sweet gesture. I thought it was kind of romantic! I still love him dearly and think the world of him and I’m proud to have been his wife for a time. I don’t believe in regrets. It’s a dangerous habit to get into — it makes you pause in your life if you start thinking back and questioning yourself.”
On people saying being pregnant is bad for one’s sex life: “No, I think it’s quite the opposite. It’s great for the sex life. It just makes you a lot more creative. So you have fun, and as a woman you’re just so round and full.”
On Brad’s new tattoo: “I drew that. We went to Davos. It’s not that we were bored at the World Economic Forum, but one night we didn’t have anything to do, so I was drawing on his back.”

Yes, as children, all of us have played with water guns, and if you are an actress and you have to use a gun in a movie, you have to. But I think she and her son love too much this world… Which is weird, but it’s even weirder when you are so involved in refugees… For me is just hypocrite.
And about Brad’s tattoo… they were bored so she drew something in his back? How much sad it’s to see a 44 year old man being so pathetic (about a woman)…

I am confused! What does being interested in wars and guns have to do with humanitarian work My husband has been interested in wars since he was Maddox`s age. He can tell you the name of every general in every war. He can tell you how old they were when they served and how old they were when they died. He can tell you the year of every war and how long it lasted. He can give you details that you would have to google for hours to find.
Why are fanistons so against learning. Angie has grown up. You have not. That is why you refuse to see any good in her. I am sure you have done things in your life which you are not proud of. I hope those around you are not childish enough to throw it in your face.

Angelina has never and nor has Brad ever suggested that they were anti gun. To be a advocate against violence towards others does not automatically regulate one to anti gun, and to own a gun does not automatically mean it’s that you are pro violence. If anyone can show one instance where either of them have ever proclaimed a stance against guns then prove it.

If Seal and Heidi Klum’s children ever ask about how their parents fell in love, the couple may have to make something up.

I think after her comment on the attractiveness of pregnant women, the whole discussion that was already started after her last interview, everybody trying to interpret something into it, will start again. I think she just enjoys having a good time with her partner, like any other woman, without any thoughts to the idea that such comments could boost her immage as sex symbol.

Nice interview. What I like about Ms. Jolie is that she is honest. Her haters will disagree, but she has always been up front about things she has done in the past. She has been consistent with what she has said in the past. Why anyone is still harping on whether it was a vial of blood or not I don’t understand. The past is the past. She has addressed it again and again, with class I must say. People harp on her cutting herself in the past. Do some reading sometimes people, besides tabloids that is. You will understand WHY people cut themselves, she was by no means alone in that. You don’t want to understand, you just want to find fault. She has found what makes her complete, happy; her calling. She has found a man who shares her goals in life and philosophy of life. She and Brad appear to have what some never find in a lifetime. Angelina is a thoughtful, generous, articulate woman. No, I don’t personally know her, but I do know about what she had done for others, that’s no secret. Her most endearing quality is the love she has for her family; her consideration of ALL her children’s feelings and how they fit within the family unit. It was a great article.

I love the Jolie-Pitts, but this is what I find contradictary about them too.
Among other things Jews were refugees in Nazi Germany. Was this war wrong? I’m certain a woman who is being raped in Darfur would love for soldiers to come ant protect her. As Angelina lovingly and clearly explain to Maddox about her being pregnant and the death of the mother. I am certain Angelina has explain the good and bad about guns and war.
This haters always found something to complain about Angies interview.Nothing new here. I personally like the interview.She is staight forward and a matter of fact person. I love that.
The interview is fantastic. She is so down to earth, a very honest person. Always direct answer to every questions. No slight evasion, so her answer would sound good. Just plain direct answers to a direct questions. So fans just these kind of interviews alone, we kind of got a little glimpse of their private lives.
I love one of her quotes at VF interview, she said that 95% of what the tabloid are saying about them are not true.

I used to work in childcare where toy guns are banned. I used to agree with this policy, but boys will be boys and if you take toy guns off them they will find another way to continue the play (using their hands and other objects as petend guns).
Ignoring the worlds problems won’t solve them. War is reality.

I don’t like no 13, but I have a key with ‘13′ on it gold pendant that I got in Dubai. That gun pendant is very pretty, and it’s drawn by Mad and Brad had it made, so it’s very precious to Angie.
