Angelina Jolie: Brad Pitt is Hard to Shop For!
Angelina Jolie gave a refreshingly candid interview to Entertainment Weekly while checking out a window display of Corum watches at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat in the south of France.
On her partner not being easy to buy things for: “Brad is the hardest person to shop for. ‘He has impeccable design taste. And whenever he sees something he likes, he buys it for himself.”
On Brad’s most recent gift to her (a gun-charm necklace she wore to her EW photo shoot): ”Mad, our 6-year-old, draws lots of war scenarios. He’s all into war and guns. So for Mother’s Day he drew a machine gun, and Brad had it made into a necklace, which is really sweet. It’s really cute. I think it’s really good!”
On some people who can’t reconcile her old persona, where she talked about knives and cutting, with her more recent identity as a mother and activist: “But again, it’s not that different. The reason I talked about going through certain pains or even cutting myself is that I was already out the other side. I knew there were people that do that — and somehow are happy that somebody admitted they did and discussed how they got out of it. I don’t see the point of doing an interview unless you’re going to share the things you learn in life and the mistakes you make. So to admit that I’m extremely human and have done some dark things, I don’t think makes me unusual or unusually dark. I think it actually is the right thing to do and I’d like to think it’s the nice thing to do.”
On anything she’s said that she wishes she hadn’t (like all that business about wearing the vial of Billy Bob Thornton’s blood around your neck when you two were married): “No! It was never a vial anyway. It was like a flower press. It was like from a slight cut on your finger and you press your fingerprint in. It was kind of a sweet gesture. I thought it was kind of romantic! I still love him dearly and think the world of him and I’m proud to have been his wife for a time. I don’t believe in regrets. It’s a dangerous habit to get into — it makes you pause in your life if you start thinking back and questioning yourself.”
On people saying being pregnant is bad for one’s sex life: “No, I think it’s quite the opposite. It’s great for the sex life. It just makes you a lot more creative. So you have fun, and as a woman you’re just so round and full.”
On Brad’s new tattoo: “I drew that. We went to Davos. It’s not that we were bored at the World Economic Forum, but one night we didn’t have anything to do, so I was drawing on his back.”

I also like the fact that she is good friends with her exes. . It is great to have that kind of ex who doesn’t need to damage you just to bulit his carrier and name off of you.
are you trolls really arguing about a kid playing with toy guns - youre like scavengers looking for anything to pick at
whats next baseball bats

OJPF I am just leaving for the night but…… I saw Your Post., and…
HEY GIRL!!! Good to see You!
Cheers…!
Some people have such dirty minds. Heidi meant she fell in love with the whole man. His personality, his character, his looks, everything about him.
——-\
NO She was talking about his MANHOOD when they met he was wearing a very tight outfit and she could see it all./ she talked about this, I remember thinking geesh, Angie just said that Brad gets her to talk in the tub and everyone gets all outraged(hilarious) but Heidi and anyone else can give us interviews like this and no one bats an eye?!
Pople yelling about guns are 2 types, (1) bitter faux X worshipers, and (2) people who do not approve of guns.
2nd type I can understand. Some people are opposed to guns on principle and that is their right. Especially people outside the US. But think UN peacekeeper troops carry weapons, they don’t run around with just body armor and no weapons to keep and enforce peace. Brad grew up in rural MO and probably had guns in the home, and Angie’s home most likely did also. Many people in the US have guns in their homes. Little boys of Maddox’s age play GI Joe and guns are very much a part of that. And the Iraq war and gun crimes are on US television all the time and kids pick up on that. While it would be wonderful to have a world free of the need of guns that is not realistic at this tiime. I am a strong proponent of gun laws, restrictions on gun ownership that are real and workable, but the truth is that in the US and many other parts of the world guns are plentiful.
1st type, STFU. If you were really X fans you would be somewhere discussing her like Brad and Angie fans do here. You are not her fans, you are worthless liars and psychos and whiners who live such miserable lives of your own making that you can’t stand seeing a happy family. Roll back into your slimy cesspools and pollinate and pollute each other.
stagiht forward= straight forward
It’s not Angelina’s fault that she”s in three movies almost coming out back to back to back in the same year. . She’s a working actress who is in demand. For each film she has to do the usual rounds of press. Frankly these interviews counteract the lying tabloids. It’s good that this article came out. It makes the tabs on the newstands look even more ridiculous.
Mad, could end up being a professional soldier for all we care. It is wahts it is.
#151-
Parent should teach their children to HATE it? WTH……. Most wars are started with greed, ignorant, domination, but most of all HATE. War is hell ( I agree) but one should learn from it, understand it…not hate it. Hatred is more powerful than all the powerful guns in the worlds.
Guns do not promote aggression and violence, it’s the teaching of hatred. You don’t buy your children toy guns, that is your belief, that is fine, but don’t come here and tell us that we should learn to hate like you.
Listen to #155 and re-read Angie’s interview again, she wants justice, not war.
I like Ang, but the cover isn’t nice
http://www.flawedhollywood.com
What a weird angle that picture is. It looks like a mannequin. And why another cover where her face takes up the entire cover like Vanity Fair? Her eyes look blue here. She has green eyes. What’s going on?They changed the color of her yes.
AJ is raising future leaders who will deal with world problems, while A Rose is raising people who will not know how to deal with conflict.
whats next baseball bats
baseball bats are dangerous. If someone beats you over the head with one, you might get hurt. parents should warn their kids
181 Original jpf @ 06/11/2008 at 8:16 pm ,Nice that you stopped by.Take care!
The reason people are so sensitive about people letting their children play war, is because we have a war going on right now in Iraq, a war the US started. We have lost thous of our own young people and bodies are stacking up every week. Tens of thous of Iraqi civilians have been slaughtered. This is why parents talking of their children playing war pisses many of us off.
Rita- there is a line already started…….. :), anyone has an extra sharpie in red? LOL
#151: And I bet you teach your children to make placards with peace signs and take them to anti-war rallies.
What the heck is it to you what she teaches her children? It’s not as if she’s strapping a gun to them and taking them to the war zone. Didn’t you read the other interview where she points out the bad guys against the good guys to her kids in movies? Guns aren’t just used to kill, it is also used to defend and protect. Most wars have ended in peace and it has been known to lead to freedom for the oppressed.
You can’t shield your kids and have them grow up ignorant and oblivious. What do you do if your kid gets curious? Do you just shut him up and put blinders on him?
I can see your children growing up to be magnificent wusses and wonderful gossips with a sanctimonious mother such as you. Have fun in your jolly prison of a home.
I really like the interview and Angie. As for guns, my dtr n law tried to keep my grandson from playing with guns to no avail. He would make any imaginery thing into a gun. She finally gave up. My girlfriend’s son has loved guns and toy soldiers all his life. He is now an officer in the army. Another friend’s son loves to read and study about wars, weapons and enjoy reading and seeing movies about different wars ,he is now 19 and is now in the corp at Texas A&M. There is nothing wrong with Mad being interested in guns as long as Angie and Brad explain the good and bad about them.
As for Angie I like her because she is different and makes no excuses for being herself. As for who is a better actress, Angie has more deft and is really a better actress. Jen is the minivan, feel good type of actress that appear in the type of movies “the girls” like to go to. The people who really like a good story like Angie’s movies. I like how she picks her movies depending on how she is feeling in her life or what she needs in her life at that time. “Wanted” for she needed to get out of her sadness with all the changes in her life “loss of mother, child birth, etc.” The physical got her out of that state. AMH, to tell the story of what happen in her friend’s life, Marianne’s strength and gave us a chance to see Afganistan. AMH and The Kite Runner increased my interest in that part of the world which is so different then ours. “The Challenging” probably a dedication to her mom.
The interview just made me love her more. And I agree, it is a better interview then Vanity Fair. As for the trolls. I don’t pay attention to them any more.
GO ANGIE!!!!!!!!!!!
pople=people
I Agree with most of her answers.
Love her!!!!! Angie is the best. I wish haters could just get over their grief and except that Angie is just a beautiful, good person, who loves Brad and her family. Brad found a woman that fulfilled him. Hopefully his X will find the same. As fr Chris Martin, Gwenyths husband still feeiling threatened by Brad. That doesn’t sound like a marriage that is very strong. God Bless the Jolie Pitts and their family.
Not a successful picture but a good interview.
