Cate Blanchett is a Kung Fu Mommy
Cate Blanchett gets her caffeine fix at her Double Bay local cafe in Sydney, Australia early Wednesday morning.
On Monday, the 38-year-old Aussie actress (in some very colorful leggings) and her director husband Andrew Upton took their two oldest sons Dashiell John, 6, and Roman Robert, 4, to the Australian premiere of the animated flick, Kung Fu Panda, in Sydney. Their youngest son, Ignatius Martin, must have napped this one out! He turns two months on Friday.
Kung Fu Panda is currently in U.S. theaters now but doesn’t open in Australia until Thursday, June 26.

Oh really? Cate Blanchett just happens to be an intelligent woman with class and sophistication beyond belife.I have always found her wit, fashion sense, and class beautiful and more engaging than Julia Roberts!
Does anyone know what brand of shoes she is wearing in the casual photos? I like them :)

Excellent comment emma lee!! I totally agree. Some people here have a weird sense in what they consider “ugly”. I’m sorry, but Ms. Blanchett is one of the most beautiful, intelligent, talented and sophisticated actresses ever! Sure, she has a quirky casual style, I love her for it! She’s never boring that’s for sure.
And, yes, she is very much a style and fashion icon whether you like it or not. Have you not seen her at the Oscars? at the Cannes premiere? at the Good German premiere?!! Good God, this woman definitely knows how to dress to impress when it counts. She’s allowed to wear whatever zany clothes she wants imo when she’s out and about with the family. She has two very beautiful & cute little boys!
Double Bay isn’t her ‘local’. She lives at Hunters Hill and works at Millers Point . Neither of which are in the Eastern Suburbs, as Double Bay is.
i love this woman. she’s an incredible actress and is very down to earth. she never gets herself into any mess and is always very elegant and classy. i admit that i didnt like both of these outfits but cate always look effortlessly flawless on the red carpet. she never gets it wrong. and her kids are so adorable!
