Chris Martin: I’m Still Trying To Live Up To Brad Pitt

What a bafoon. So, poor little Chris is affected by our president? How, exactly? He can’t say because British troops are in Iraq-that’s the responsibility of HIS Prime Minister. Not to mention the fact that some of the key false intel for invading Iraq came from the British. Truth is, of course, Bush’s presidency has had exactly ZERO effect on Chris Martin. ZERO. Oh, his sensitive little heart bleeds for the dead Iraqis, you say? Hm, was little Chrissy crying when Saddam was slaughtering 200,000 of his own people every year? Was he crying when Saddam stole food from his own people by violating the oil for food program? Of course not. Was he crying for the plight of women in Afghanistan? Of course not. Chris and smug stupid wife are typical celebrity liberals..they fly around on their private plains, live in multimillion pound homes, spend 5 grand for a bag for the kids poopy diapers but they really REALLY care about world poverty. Martin doesn’t know or understand a thing about world politics. I’ll tell you what, Chris, when the ‘world’ wants to take responsibility for it’s own defense(every time Europe breaks out in war, they come yelping for our help..most recently the Balkins)and pay for that defense(something Europe refuses to do-both directly and through the UN which the US overwhelmingly and disproportionately foots the bill for)-we’ll think about letting you vote. After living in the U.S for a while I have noticed that Americans, English, Irish and Aussies all have a similar culture, except when it comes to humour, it is the one thing that is different. Many Americans tend to take everything literally, they don’t seem to “get” irony or tongue-in-cheek or “taking the piss”… Chris Martin is a very intelligent witty guy who was joking about Brad Pitt, he was being funny/sarcastic. Of course he knows that there could never be a world vote, he was simply making a statement about what many in the rest of the world think about the Presidential election, again not to be taken literally.

I think all the people can talk the American President.
Why? The American President has the more big power of wold. He ruins our lifes the last years.

What a way to go true marriage.. If it isnt hard already, make it hard because you want to live up to a sexsymbol who had a glory live and now lives on what he once was.

This thread is most likely finished, but I’ll vent my spleen anyway. Why do people go to threads where a celebrity like Chris here, or GC, MD, DC and others mention Brad with praise or a dry witty remark and are instantly branded “coat-riders”?

None of you - nor I, are in the industry that is Hollywood. What’s wrong with them mentioning him, praising him, or God forbid! liking him? He’s been in the business for 15+ years and has a great reputation, work ethic, generous heart; the love of a good woman and children he’s dreamed of having ALL HIS LIFE!

Most of you would rather believe tabloids that for celebrity “addicts” is money in the bank - The more salacious the story, the more someone will pay to get it. Stories are obtained by UNNAMED “sources”, “friends of” and “Insiders”, all of whom are handsomely paid for their stories that because on laziness on the magazine’s part are very rarely verified.

I know people who would often pay $40.00 to $50.00 per WEEK (that’s $2,400.00 per year) to read EVERYTHING about celebrities, or rather, get pictures of their “favorites”… Thankfully, the internet now provides those same pictures (usually more than the magazines would run for free!), and now those same people spend that money on other things, like food. Some of them donate that money to their local food banks.

Maybe you nay-sayers should take a look around you to see what you can do to help others instead of getting on your high-horses and acting like you know what these people do in their lives - You don’t live with them, nor do the people who peddle gossip to naive, lonely, or downright self-righteous hypocrites whose own lives should be fixed first.

The Brad Complex

This is Chris Martin on the cover of Rolling Stone promoting Coldplay’s latest Viva La Vida. Surprisingly enough, Chris, who adamantly refuses to discuss his wife Gwyneth Paltrow, actually alludes to her past relationship with Brad Pitt.

When discussing ambition and where he finds inspiration, Chris said:
“You’ve got to be hungry. If your wife went out with Brad Pitt, you’d want to prove yourself, you know what I mean?”

Seriously, he seems rather fixated on Brad Pitt. I’ve seen Coldplay in concert several times. On at least 3 occasions, Chris addresses the crowd like:

Hello you, way at the back…don’t worry, none of us look like Brad Pitt so you’re not missing anything if you’re not in the front.

Chris also said he questioned his heterosexuality as a youth:

“It was more like, ‘Oh ****, what if?’, because was brought up to think it was wrong. It sounds silly to say it now, but when you’re a kid you think, ‘I’m going to ************ for eternity if I like other guys or if I marry someone Jewish’.”

It was tits that made him realise he was straight:
(I was) swayed by boobs. Let’s face it, they’re fantastic.

Now you know I love my girl Gwynnie, but she’s never had the best breasts. They’re nice and small, lucky *****, but they’re also shaped like triangles. Just sayin’…

Anyway, Coldplay has just postponed their tour by two weeks and now there’s word Chris has injured his knee which might lead to further delays. As of right now the tour is scheduled to begin in LA on July 14th. Am told Gwyneth and the children will be joining for part of the summer.
