Clay Aiken: I Want More Kids
Clay Aiken is already having a son but he’s not stopping there!
The 29-year-old singer and his best friend, 50-year-old music producer Jaymes Foster, used advanced IVF therapy to conceive their first child but an In Touch insider reports that they’ve already frozen eggs and sperm so they can have a second baby next year.
“Jaymes is due in August, so she’d like to conceive again next March,” an insider says. “That way, she would give birth in December 2009… Clay and Jaymes are committed to having at least two children. They’re both incredibly successful and wealthy, so money is certainly no object. And he just adores children. He is going to make a wonderful and caring father. There’s no doubt about that.”

I agree with number # 14. Who wants a 70 year old mother at the age of 20. You would want your Mother around for awhile and in good health for when you decide too marry, and have children of your own. People will think that is his grand-mother. Clay really needs to rethink this thing through, the next time around. I have no question he will make a great father, but it would be nice to have a young mother around also, in later years. I feel doom ahead for those two.

Um, dude. If a man wanted to impregnate a woman without having sex with her, he wouldn’t have to use in vitro fertilization, his sperm would just be introduced via plain old “artificial insemination” (of the sort used in animal husbandry all the time).
The term “in vitro fertilization” should have tipped you off that the woman’s fertility was a primary consideration.
(And by the way, married couples sometimes use plain old artificial insemination because of fertility issues on the part of either partner too.)

if any of you think a 50-year-old woman chooses to conceive and carry a baby to term — whatever the method — and then raise it, just because some guy wants to become a dad, you’ve got another think coming.
The one thing about this story that’s pretty obviously true is that Jaymes Foster is pregnant. She’s also of menopausal age. Obviously SHE wants to have a child (or children) while she still can.
If you think that’s “weird” or icky, well, it’s hardly something so rare as to be newsworthy.
And if she used in vitro fertilization, that was a very wise move. Not only is it safer for her own health, but it gives her a much better chance of actually getting pregnant and avoiding some of the birth defects that are increasingly likely as the age of the mother increases.
As to the “insider” whom Clay supposedly told “I want more children,” that was supposedly someone at In Touch Magazine? LOL

I have to ask , why is so important that this man admit he is gay??? I certainly don’t think it is any bodies business who I like or dislike. I don’t care if I am famous or not! Get a life, what is all this about? Is he or isn’t he..who gives a ****! The only people who seem to want him to come out are gay people. Okay..don’t get me wrong..I have a lot of gay friends and they don’t care either! The bottom line is, if this man entertains you. If he doesn’t move on, if he does, then you have a right to an opinion because you have something invested in him.

Too Bizarre. The woman is old enough to be her own kid’s grandmother. This is really weird in a very creepy sort of way and Clay Aiken is involved, enuf said. Say goodbye to your career Clay. You can thank your 50 year old easy bake oven.
Oh and to Janie…I should be so lucky to have someone like him to be a dad. His life experiences have taught him how important a father figure can be and I am sure he will take it very seriously. Take the time to read “Learning to Sing..Hearing the Music in Your Heart” by Mr. Aiken and you just might learn something about this man. I personally have witnessed some amazing moments with this guy. He is extremely caring to people…please just take the time understand that and you might not be so quick to judge. Give the guy a chance! What his sexual preferences or how he chooses to become a father are not as important as how he achieves those goals.

Amazing how everyone thinks it’s weird that a 50 yr old woman and 30 yr old man would have a child together. Would you feel the same way if the woman was 30 and the man was 50? My father died at 72, my mother at 92. Women have a longer life span than men, so it seems that if this is all true, they may be actually providing a mom and dad for this child for decades and decades to come.
To go through IVF, they really have to have made a comitment to having a child. Good for them and good luck for a healthy baby.

If Clay were romantically involved with Jaymes, I’m sure he would have married her and then did the kid thing. I think they’re just best friends deciding to raise a child together. He’s probably gay, but it really doesn’t matter. Maybe he’s celibate. I don’t know. I suppose we’ll find out eventually. Anyway, it sounds like the kid will have a mom and a dad who love him, and that’s a good thing.

Weird that all these baby stories are floating around when it hasn’t even been properly confirmed yet..
Clay said that he wanted to get married and have a family. If he has given up hope of ever finding his soulmate and decided to settle for having part time children with someone that he’s not even in love with then I feel sad for him. He deserves better than that. He’s still young, and has time to find “the one”.
Then again, many people find it very hard to find “the one”, and I guess it’s even harder for celebrities since it must be a lot harder for them to trust people.
Whatever the situation is, I wish him the best and hope that he doesn’t end up regretting whatever decision he has made.

Gay men are called child molesters all the time, it’s just homophobic slurs and insults. If gay people want children then there’s nothing wrong with that. Some gay people are celibate because of their religious beliefs and some are celibate for other reasons, that shouldn’t prevent them having children. Clay just might be of a celibate nature, and really all this vitriol is dragging him down through jealousy because f his good voice. Any intelligent person doesn’t form an opinion about someone through hearsay and nasty gossip. What if clay has cripling performance anxiety that he’s getting therapy for, god what kind of people are you, ignorant peasants?

well, i think everyone’s getting out of hand. first off, clay has never said he was gay (he actually has said he’s straight about 5 times before deciding not to waste his time over it anymore) and all of this news is coming from tabloids. would i be suprised if clay and jaymes were having a child? no. but until either of them release any kind of statement, who really knows what the deal is. if these stories are true, i would think they chose AI or IVF because she probably can no longer have kids the natural way. and she was married for 23 years and never had a child. maybe she never could have children the natural way. i am sure they tried to have a child the natural way. but who knows, maybe they didn’t. what’s sad though is that everyone feels like they can read a half-*** tabloid article and make their own stubborn opinion and have their minds made up in 2 seconds of how messed up this is or not. if you think about it, both have wanted kids for a long time, both have been best friends since they met, she is about the closest thing he has to a lover right now (if she isn’t already), and they both are good, clean people who know what it takes to raise a child. no one says it’s messed up that britney spears has a child when she’s in rehab and the looney house every month (like she can raise a child), but since people have made te shallow assumption that clay is gay, and because it is now widely accepted to hate him for it, no one wants to believe he can raise a child, which is completely false. the guy worked with kids as his job before becoming a celebrity. his dream was to become a principal of a high school one day. who says he isn’t fit to raise a child?
The Gayken had better figure out how to make CDs that actually SELL, as those kids are going to need lots, and I mean LOTS of psychiatric therapy, and that isn’t cheap!! I guess the gayby mama could cover the expenses, but the old folks’ home she’ll be residing in will be expensive, too…LOL!!!
