OlderDemi Lovato is Bangin’ at Camp Rock Premiere
Rising actress Demi Lovato is all smiles at the premiere of her new movie, Camp Rock on Wednesday in New York City.
In the film, Lovato, 15, plays Mitchie Torres, the female protagonist of the movie. She isn’t very rich, but had always wanted to go to Camp Rock. In order to do that, she had to work along with her mother, Connie, in the kitchen and mess halls. Mitchie lied about her “fabulous” life and pretended to have rich and famous parents, like everybody else. But when her secret got out, Tess blamed Mitchie and her friend, Caitlyn, for stealing her charm bracelet, which led to banning Mitchie from camp activities. She sang a song (”This is Me”) and Shane overheard her singing it. He was determined to find her because Mitchie’s song reminded him of the music he used to like, but because Shane had never even seen Mitchie sing the song, he would have difficulty finding out that it was her singing it.

Why is this movie EVERYWHERE!?!?! Seriously, i know Disney’s trying to get this to be the new “HSM” but HSM was big with NO production. They were not on a magazine, they didn’t play it on ABC and other channels like that. It became big all on its own. The only way you knew it was playing was the few commercials on Disney. And the characters were all nobodys. I wouldn’t exactly call the “Jonas Brothers” nobodys.
Oh and this is MY opinion. Just because your opinion is positive doesn’t mean its right. Thats what so great about an opinion. No one’s wrong.

And i also agree with #83.. Depspite whether or not this movie breaks the record of HSM .. it still wouldn’t compare to HSM cuz of all the reasons Haven posted .. They weren’t popular .. It wasn’t advertised crazy .. they didn’t even go on talk show hosts to promote the movie until after.. so in my book HSM still will always be more successful .. But i still can’t wait for CR

the thing i LOVE about demi is that yea she can sing, dance, act and all that… but she’s not a flippen size 0 5″6′ barbie doll lol she’s so real!!
She looks way to old for a 15 year old, but she does look nice. Not too crazy about the pointy heels, but she definetly does look pretty. I think Camp Rock should be interesting, if anything else, it’ll give us an idea of whether Demi can really sing or not.

Personally, I think Demi Lovato is a talented actress/singer. The movie ” As The Bell Rings” is a very good movie, and I can’t wait for Camp Rock and The Princess Protection Program to come out. But one thing I don’t like about her is that the fact that she dresses too grown up. For God sake you are 15, not 20. You are naturally beaufiful, you don’t need so much make up to cover your self.
