Johnny Depp films Public Enemies in Chicago on his 45th birthday, June 9th.
Public Enemies is a crime drama set during The Great Depression focusing on FBI agent Melvin Purvis’ (Christian Bale) attempt to stop criminals John Dillinger (Depp), and Pretty Boy Floyd (Channing Tatum).
Depp’s character, John Dillinger, was an American bank robber whose exploits dominated the press during what is sometimes referred to as the public enemy era, between 1931 and 1935.
According to a recent survey, Johnny Depp is Britain’s favorite actor, beating out their own British actors Daniel Craig, Sir Sean Connery and Orlando Bloom. Although he has received three Oscar nominations, Depp has not yet won an Academy Award.

Glad to see his pics. He’s a great actor and a wonderful person. I consider him and Kevin Spacey best modern American actors ..maybe Sean Penn too…now that he’s back to his wife :)
I feel it in my bones that this is going to be excellent movie and I can’t wait. I’m a sucker for stories about the “Dust Bowl/Depression” era criminals, and Johnny Depp will not disappoint as John Dillinger………they even have the same initials, along with being Gemini’s.

He looks fine. Better than most men do anyway—BUT, the past three years or so his true age has indeed been showing.
And now, with his beard off and his hair cut you can truly tell how old he is.
Slightly off topic—–is it true that he kissed his costar offset?
I´ve seen some pictures of them kissing in a park……..and it didn´t look like a movie scene at all…..
Oh well, if he really wants to cheat on his wife he should at least do it with Keira Knightly- now those two would make a good couple.

Johnny Depp is the hottest actor alive. He is also such a great actor, I can’t wait till this movie comes out it looks real good. Is this a remake of the James Cagney film “Public Enemy” ? Cause if it is I’m kinda worried. As much as I love Depp, he could NEVER pull of anything remotely close to what Cagney did in that film ….

That was in the National Enquirer, not exactly the best of sources and they were both in costume. Apparently Marion stole her current boyfriend from Diane Kruger while they worked on a movie together so some blogger who took pictures on the set sold a bunch of them to the Enquirer. Apparently, he’s pissed that they turned his “innocent” photos of the set into an affair story. But, really, what could he expect when dealing with the National Enquirer.
As to Keira Knightley, you do realize that he is 22 years older than her, right? He was getting divorced when she was born!
Personally, I can’t wait for Public Enemies! Just following the news about it (because of Johnny) has turned me on to Christian Bale and now I’m disappointed they’ll only have one scene together!

This guys got it all…best actor ever, handsome and sexy. His acting range is phenomenal. Finding Neverland was his best film ever. I absolutely adore him. Lucky Vanessa The Brit’s recognize great talent when they see it, I guess.
Screw johnny, bring on the Christian Bale pics!! He’s a much better actor.
