The Jonas Brothers are Manhattan Moguls
The Jonas Brothers are greeted by fans as they leave their Manhattan hotel in New York City on Thursday.
Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas are all set for Camp Rock, the new TV movie premiering @ 8PM ET/PT on Friday, June 20 on the Disney Channel. Disney has been giving this movie serious backing in hopes of following the success of the High School Musical series.

Camp Rock will be even more sucessful by HSM, this is because disney sucessfully market the jonas brothers to a huge audience, before giving them the movie deal. These amazingly talented boys have already achieved superstardom before the movie will be released, so its make them eve more famous internationally, plus, the co-starts will become just as sucessful!
I think that if Camp Rock would have started out the way Hish School Musical did then it probably won’t do as big. The Jonas Brothers were already big before the movie unlike the actors from High School Musical. If you listen to have the people on here that have made responses that think Camp Rock will do better are in love with the Jonas Brothers. No one was like this with High School Musical. I don’t think in a couple years people will be acting out Camp Rock like they do High School Musical. From what I here you can’t connect To Camp Rock the way you can with High School Musical.
So if everyone Disney Channel Movie after High School Musical started out the same way as them and had virtualy nobodies act, and have the same amount of publicity, no one will do as good. The High School Musical success is a one of a kind thing. You can’t get that with another movie. Don’t get me wrong I like the Jonas Brothers and I am excited for Camp Rock, I just don’t think it will do as good in the same sense.
many kids look up to the jonas brothers so of course they are gonna watch it. and when you see how they can fill arenas on tour with all their screaming fans those kids wont miss this…like me! i think it will defiently be bigger than high school musical.
Honestly, the only hsm I liked was the first one.
And from all the advertising they have from camp rock EVERYONE wants to see it, I’ve already seen it and it’s GREAT!
I think it won’t beat HSM,

But I think that HSM and Camp Rock are really different categories in success, and that’s not because the story. It’s a lot alike, but HSM was magic. Unknown actors and not so much promotion and then we suddenly have huge stars and a huge couple, Zanessa. Camp Rock had promotion and already famous people (Jonas Brothers). I think you can’t compare them to each other. But I do think Camp Rock is gonna be REALLY big.

I don’t know if it will top High School Musical, but I sure am going to tune in to check it out. One thing I will say is that I am extremely jealous of Demi Lovato. It’s not fair that she gets to play Joe’s love interest in the movie. I would play that role anyday!!!!!

people magazine reviewed this movie and said no way that this can ever top hsm. and i agree. wats the movie even about? a girl who goes to camp and meets a cute guy? and the moral is…what, if you go to a musical camp, you might score a guy like joe? at least you could relate to hsm. it was about peer pressure and busting out of cliques and doing something out of the ordinary because you like it. camp rock may do better in ratings, but so far the critics arent impressed with it.
