OlderOprah Overpowers Brad and Angelina
Oprah Winfrey was ranked the world’s most powerful celebrity for the second year running in a new survey published by Forbes magazine on Wednesday.
Tiger Woods retained the No. 2 spot on the list, raking in $115 million on and off the course, while actress Angelina Jolie jumped to the third spot, combining $14 million in earnings with unequaled levels of fame while Brad Pitt rounded out the top 10 earning a cool $20 million.
David Beckham’s move to the US Major League Soccer team the Los Angeles Galaxy helped him shift into the top 10, taking fifth place with earnings of 50 million dollars, ahead of actor Johnny Depp in sixth.
Other notable mentions: Jennifer Aniston - No. 17, Miley Cyrus - No. 35, Jonas Brothers - No. 89

There is no question this Diva has a place in American History. Her meteoric rise to power and her humanitarian work are notable. No one is taking away what is due her. Indeen, I give her credit, where credit is due.
Of late, her credibility has been slowly eroding, reasons of which are all over the news, the internet, and reputable magazines such as The Economist, Times, Newsweek . Reputable MSM, CBS, MSNBC, and CNN have noted the declined in her viewership.
For those who can not grasp why this is so, is hardly my concern. Perhaps their brain cells are not to par. What else could it be ?

OPRAH’S BFF VISITED O’S NEWEST FAN DAVID LETTERMAN last weekend to hawk Oprah’s Houlier-Than-Thou Reality TV show, and while there she reminded everyone once again that she and Oprah are definitely, absolutely, positively, however did you get that idea?, no way, not gay lovers. Oprah’s earnings are gross revenues from her tv shows and other business, and it does not include her cost and expenses, which could probably be more than her revenues. Its not fair comparison to actors and actresses, because their income are their gross salaries/talent fees from their movies and expenses are minimal.
So Oprah’s net income could probably be less than US$ 50 million annually. Since her Tv shows rating are falling and her magazine are not selling well, her costs must be considerable, squeezing her margins.
I’m really curious how they determine the list, how much money equals how much popularity e.g.? I mean Tiger Woods is surely a nice person, but what makes him so influential in the world? I never hear about him in any news, like that he is sponsoring a good-will cause or so. Maybe I’m listening to the wrong news, could be, but still makes me wonder. Perpaps someone knows more?

Tiger Woods donates millions every year to the Tiger Woods Foundation, the St. Judes Hospital where there the Tiger Woods Pavillion ( a Reading/TV room) is named for him. The Tiger Woods Learning Centre - a mammoth learning centre with a small golf course inCalifornia, in his old neighbourhood , provides after school learning for underprivileged kids - somewhere they can be while their parents are still at work or wherever, without getting in trouble. They learn all kids of sciences, math, golf etc. and they get career counselling and practical help in moving into careers. This is all funded by the TW Foundation. Tiger has three golf tournaments on the PGA schedule which fund his charities which include The Fist Tee Programme (another kid-centred program) which teaches life lessons through golf). Tiger announced last year, when he started the annual 4th of July golf tournament in D. C. , that the tournament will fund another learning centre on the East Coast, (Washington D. C.) for underprivileged kids. He also hopes to start one in South Africa some day soon.

I guarantee you that Brad is still old-fashined enough to want the role as breadwinner. It is my guess that he spends the bulk on say, the lease of their current home in France, their other residences, air travel (when not paid for by the studios) security and domestic staff. maybe all Angie has to do with her money is contribute to the trust funds and donate to charities.

“Had (Jolie) made a couple of millions dollars more she probably would have been close to topping the list because the number of magazine covers that she was on, the number of stories she was mentioned in, far surpassed anyone else on the list,” Miller said.
