High School Musical hottie Zac Efron isn’t a fan of personal hygiene, according to Star.
“Zac isn’t a big fan of showering,” an HSM3 set insider says. “It’s so gross, because Zac loves to work out and plays basketball all the time — and then goes days without showering. When he gets lazy, he likes to clean himself with baby wipes!”

I think that if it was true, we would know since we at times see him everyday and having a light haircolour and long hair isn’t the greatest when you haven’t showered, you can see it right away. Come on folks, of course it’s fake! If you look at him, you know immediately, he’s so vain, he cannot walk past any mirror without taking a look! His hair is always perfectly styled: soft and wavy, using lots of hair care products, so no way is isn’t showering in days, or his hair would be all stringy. His eyebrows are always so extremely plugged, you even think he’s a girl! And in a lot of pictures I’ve seen of him, he even wears a light coat of make-up! To me, he seems so unmanly, the rumor of not showering may actually do him some good and take away some of that sissy aura surrounding him! Some time ago, Jessica Alba said in an interview, that when she saw him for the first time, he looked like a little boy with make-up on, and that’s exactly how I see him, totally vain.

As midnightwonder pointed out Zac has said the one thing he splurges on it cologne because he loves smelling good. Vanessa has commented on how much a gentleman he is as he comments on how good someone smells —who is wearing perfume, etc, and she says he smells good.
Another poster mentioned how Zac’s hot water was turned off for two days last summer due to some problem in his apartment building. He mentioned this on Jimmy KImmel and it was hilarious the interchange. It was also written about in the Rolling Stone interview. SOOO, here’s what I think. Someone at Star saw either Jimmy KImmel’s show or read the Rolling Stone interview and thought it happened long enough ago that people would forget about it. Then they thought they would write a story about Zac not bathing BUT they added their own “facts”. That is what they usually do. He probably has used baby wipes to “freshen up” on set and people have commented on it. SO, we now have a story that he doesn’t shower for days but uses baby wipes instead. I also have some news for people, many people carry baby wipes around in their cars and purses for various reasons and one is to “freshen up” as it were like in cleaning their hands or face, etc, when sweaty. Many people use them when they have been shopping or out and about other people in trying to avoid viruses and colds.

You know, in a room full of hundreds of people and cameras the temperature is quite hot so they need make-up to look good on the screen. Hi Zac and Vanessa Fans.
First of all I would like to say I like all the cast members in HSM. I think they are all very talented and I to think Lucas is cute as well as a very, very talented actor. Ashley as well, these are characters I watched, more often, long before I did Zac and Vanessa.
Zac and Vanessa have made very strong characters for HSM’S. You see them meet and what they endure as they grow as a couple. Their characters break the ice and unite the school. “We’re All in This Together”, was the theme song and also the a wake up for classmates.
Than we have the off screen romance these two have that they never expected to happen. They weathered a great deal of turmoil, yet they stood by each other as their privacy was invaded by so called adults.
Zac and Vanessa handled all this whirlwind round about them with more maturity than many adults I know including those in Hollywood.
Now, I chose them as my favorites because of, not only their talent, but also the wisdom they show. I hope that their love for each other grows stronger and they prosper in all they set out to do. I know they are still very young, but it is possible. You see my husband and I were married at the age of 17 yrs., not because I had to, but because we loved each other. We will be married, on June 21, 2008, 39 yrs. and are now 56yrs. old. We have a daughter born in 1972 and a son born in1974. They are both married now. Our daughter and husband has blessed us with a grand-daughter and grandson. Our son has blessed us with a grand-daughter.
Sorry for getting of on myself. Zac and Vanessa are two very talented young adults and I think this year and years to come will prove so.

I know what you mean! Sometimes I feel that I have to point out some things based on facts before some crazy lunatic starts spreading another rumour. It’s unbelievable that even an interview a Newsweek interview with Vanessa has to deal with the absurd idea of whether Zac showers or not! How ridiculous can this be? I thought it was pretty stupid when the Zitgate situation happened but when there is no great scandal of how someone was caught with crack in their possession or came falling out of a club drunk, I guess it works if you just come up with something so crazy as they don’t like to shower or they don’t go to a 12 year olds birthday party because they have a zit. I loved that Vanessa defended Zac and their relationship. (I wish Jared would add an Update to his post.) I loved when she defended herself (”I think before I buy”) and her friendship with Ashley. And it’s also good to hear that she wants to relax a little bit (Hawaii 2.0?) and buy a house.
But I find it really sad that the article dealt with the shower-rumour and not with her new album or other projects. I also find the ‘tell me about your relationship’ questions ridiculous. Probably, we won’t get any details but why is it so hard to accept it? It’s not like that we had got much information then they stopped talking about themselves. We never got real details or confirmations. That’s the case. And I think it’s a waste of time and paper to ask these questions over and over again. (”I don’t want to talk about it.
