Vanity Fair has charted the most influential blogs about politics, gossip, Hollywood, media, and miscellany, and located them on two basic continuums: tone and content. From “news” vs “opinion” and “earnest” vs “scurrilous”, Just Jared fell into the “Earnest and Opinion” category. Here’s what the mag wrote about JustJared.com:
“Just Jared: Kinder, gentler celebrity-gossip blog, chockablock with exclamation points!”
Score!!!!!! Interestingly enough, Vanity Fair chose Angelina Jolie as this blog’s icon. Hmmm, wonder why!!!!!
Also, JustJared.com is the only celebrity gossip blog in the lower right-hand quadrant (+X, -Y), alongside online news website Huffington Post, techie blog Boing Boing and fashion blog The Sartorialist.

By the way, I ordered Vanity Fair with Angelina Jolie on it, right after you had put it on your blog. I never order magazines and rarely read them. I am sure their sales skyrocketed after you posted it. I also ordered Entertainment Weekly, in hopes of getting the mag with the latest Jolie interview.

My apologies for being late in my condolences. My only simple input during this time of bereavement is…let your sadness flow.
Cry every day as much as you feel, cry with your children, cry with siblings, cry with your husband, cry with your Mother…I’ll cry too along with you. Human emotions are natural with profound sorrow, you don’t have to be strong…miss him, cherish memories of him and honor him as much as you loved him. first and last post, i will always remember you with great affection. when i posted here that my dad was going into hospice and i was really frightened and unsure what it entailed ,you extended yourself to me and gave detailed explanation of what i could expect. you gave me great comfort. you don’t know me but you showed great compassion and i will always remember that. i assumed because my dad was ill for a while that i was prepared. i was wrong. i have such a hollow feeling and great hurt. i have some peace because i know he with God. he was such an amazing man. i had such love from the moment i took my first breath. at the viewing a man came on stood on the periphery and then came to my mom and told her he had learned to fly a bonanza from my dad when he was so young and he never forgot his kindness and that had been thirty five years ago and just came to pay his respects. that was very meaningful. thank you for the beautiful poem. i have been so blessed by the support from the wonderful people at jj. with much gratitude, vicki
