OlderZachary Quinto’s Red Carpet Slippers
Heroes actor Zachary Quinto arrives at Warner Bros. World Premiere of Get Smart held at the Mann Village Theatre on Monday in Westwood, Calif.
Quinto, 31, has been busy shooting the third season of Heroes. His costar Masi Oka shared a bit about the upcoming season at the Get Smart premiere: “It’s going to be amazing, I’ve just finished doing episode four and it’s gonna keep you on the edge of your seats… It’s going back to season one and the basics, fast storytelling and lots of twists and turns… We have a great family [on set], both crew and cast, it’s amazing.”
And E! has a great spoiler that will get you thinking: Claire (Hayden Panettiere) is not the only character on the show who is adopted. Dun dun dun.

He is not wearing slippers, they are Tom’s. You can buy them at http://www.tomsshoes.com. For every pair you buy, the store provides a pair for a child in need. so far they have “shoed” 60,000 children in Argentina and South Africa. It is really a neat charity, they even let you volunteer to join them on a “shoe drop” to get to see the lives of the kids you have touched.

Does it bother anyone else that a sizable percentage of the population seems to be laying in wait to rip people to shreds over really important issues like fashion? Are they jealous? Are their lives really that myopic and superficial? Just asking.
It especially irks me when they target someone who is constantly involved in humanitarian causes and making progessive choices like wearing Toms so kids in poorer countries will have shoes to wear. There are plenty of waste of space celebrities out there who have nothing going for them except for the tastes of their stylists and their designer apparel made in sweat shops with slave labor. Luckily Mr. Quinto lacks neither in talent nor in a sense of social responsibility.
Toms is a great company. Not only do they donate a pair of shoes for every pair they sell, their factories provide decent labor practices, fair wages, and humane working conditions internationally. Toms also make very comfortable shoes that anyone with half a brain would wear proudly anywhere and everywhere.
