Angelina Jolie Celebrates World Refugee Day
Since early 2001, Angelina Jolie has traveled the world as a Goodwill Ambassador to UNHCR, The UN Refugee Agency. On World Refugee Day, she pays tribute to the forcibly uprooted and to the people who protect them.
Here’s what Angie, who is expecting twins with Brad Pitt this summer, says in her PSA:
“They have survived war, they have survived displacement, they have survived rape, they have survived hunger and disease. For those who have survived and for those who did not, we are thinking of you on this day.”

#575: Angie has plenty to do according to her when she’s not traveling. She writes, she reads and she’s got kids to take care of not to mention upcoming twins to prepare for. Not only that, they still have a new nest to get in order and make more comfortable.
She’s gonna be busy, don’t worry. She also has her foundations and charitable endeavors to see to and people to talk to. Now she can catch up on what she’s been meaning to do like most busy moms/humanitarians/partners who gets so little ‘me’ time.
I wish she’d take this period to pamper herself more….mani/pedi, footspa, facials, massage, etc.

I am certainly baffled by your posts as when i was here a few weeks ago i distintcly remember seeing youre name numerous times stating how you were far from biased if anything you liked Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. I was amazed at the numerous posts you wrote wanting to clarify some logics to the ” Brangalina relationship.
But you most certainly said you liked them.

NHA TRANG, Vietnam) — Cindy McCain ranged far afield from the U.S. presidential campaign trail Thursday to showcase her charity work helping Vietnamese kids born with facial deformities.
Cindy McCain has been actively involved with Operation Smile since 2001 and is a member of its board of directors
McCain has made several trips to Vietnam, where her husband, Republican Sen. John McCain, was shot down during the Vietnam War and held for more than five years as a prisoner of war.
“This is what I do, and this is what revitalizes me, personally,” she said. “The campaign is extremely important, of course, but this is also important to me, and so you try to balance everything.”
She has a special connection to Vietnam because she and her husband first helped a baby, Phuoc Thi Le, receive reconstructive surgery on her cleft palate and cleft lip in 1997 after a chance meeting with the girl’s uncle in Arizona. Cindy McCain reunited with Le, now 11, during her one-day visit.
The McCains later adopted a daughter from Bangladesh who also was born with a facial deformity.
“When you see a child anywhere, say a child that doesn’t have food or a child with a cleft palate who’s been kept in a back room because the family is embarrassed or whatever it may be, it takes you back to really what’s basic and what’s really important,” Cindy McCain said.
She also plans to visit Cambodia to participate in charity work there.
