Angelina Jolie Celebrates World Refugee Day
Since early 2001, Angelina Jolie has traveled the world as a Goodwill Ambassador to UNHCR, The UN Refugee Agency. On World Refugee Day, she pays tribute to the forcibly uprooted and to the people who protect them.
Here’s what Angie, who is expecting twins with Brad Pitt this summer, says in her PSA:
“They have survived war, they have survived displacement, they have survived rape, they have survived hunger and disease. For those who have survived and for those who did not, we are thinking of you on this day.”
Friday, June 20 is World Refugee. Visit UNHCR.org to get involved.

They’re planning the wedding there afterall! Lake Como get ready!! Hahahaha! That was nice….Brad hooking up with GC to visit. It’s hard getting annoyed with George after he wrote that glowing piece on Brad & Angie for Time. That was just a great GREAT thing to do. Soooo cool. I just wish George could his very own ‘Angie.’ If Ashley Judd wasn’t married, they’d be perfect…and they’re both from Kentucky! LOL

I wonder how being on bed rest is going to affect Angelina. It seems like She has been on the go non-stop since like early 2000s traveling the world with maddox and now her large family.
Now she’s possibly stuck on bed rest with nothing to do but think.

Rubbish!
She is probably watching CNN on TV, making long-distance calls on her phone, typing away on her laptop. She has paper and notebook with her and is surrounded by paperwork (newspapers and magazines to keep up with the world, French exercise books, etc.)
Then she is calling various household staff to give instructions, etc. etc. She isn’t just lying there with nothing to do! As long as her stomach is resting (no walking, running, getting in and out of cars, going up and down stairs, picking up kids).
Missing the whole family. I read somewhere that Angie may have the babies either on July 4 or on July 14. I am anticipating for the birth of the twins next month or August either way, I hope, they are in good health & I can see how Brad’s face will light up & so is Angie’s & their children once the twins arrives.
Friday is the big one for ‘Wanted”, can’t wait to see it.

Angie is on the cover of most of the magazines out this week. I got my copies of VF, Entertainment Weekly & Ok. I’m after their pictures & interviews.
Miss seeing the Jolie-Pitt’s. Go out & watch ‘Wanted” on Friday, my husband & I will watch it. Goodnight to all.

REUTERS NEWS REPORTS BRAD AND ANGELINA GIVE MONEY TO WAR-KIDS….
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated $1 million for educational aid to children impacted by the Iraq war in that country and in the United States, a charitable organization said on Wednesday.
The Jolie-Pitt Foundation has given $500,000 to three groups in the war-torn country which will provide aid for some 5,700 children, said the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, which is co-chaired by Jolie.
Money will pay for basic necessities, including books and supplies to help send Iraqi children to school. Aid will also go to refugee kids, and to school rehabilitation programs.
The foundation also gave $500,000 to help children in the United States who have a military parent killed in Iraq, or who are separated from a parent stationed in the country.
The donation for U.S. kids will go to the Armed Services YMCA Operation Hero Program, which will provide educational tutors and counseling to 2,500 kids.
Pitt, 44, and Jolie, 33, have donated millions of dollars to charity over the years. Jolie, star of action movie “Wanted,” has long been an advocate for refugees and is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Pitt, who starred in critically acclaimed “Babel,” has advocated for relief in the Darfur region of Sudan and has backed a program to help build homes for survivors of Hurricane Katrina in the United States.
The pair have four kids of their own, and Jolie is expecting twins.
