OlderBrad Pitt Rocks Out With Radiohead
Brad Pitt meets up with his Fight Club costar Ed Norton to catch a Radiohead concert together at Civica Arena in Milan, Italy on Wednesday night.
Norton has said, “Brad and I had a mutual fixation on the second two Radiohead albums.”
Also at the concert was Mariane Pearl, Brad and Angelina Jolie’s close friend. (Angie starred as Pearl in 2007’s A Mighty Heart.)
Norton’s latest superhero flick, The Incredible Hulk, is out in theaters now. Angie’s action thriller, Wanted, is out in theaters on Friday, June 27. Reviews are already pouring in and it looks like it’s going to be a smash hit!

No one is saying she is soo old at 39 in the real world. But in the movie world 40 is the end of the line for many women, while for men they can be 100 and still get a romantic lead role. Sally Field and many other actresses have said this. Is this fair? No it is not, but men run most of the studios and they want young women (translated as teens and 20’s) in their films. There has been much discussion of this double standard, and a new film, a remake of a great 30’s film, “The Women” with women only in the cast, is being released, but does not seem to be getting much publicity.

A wedding is this weekend. Family is in town, and a few have yet to arrive. It will be a small family affair. Brads night out was the Radiohead concert with his brother Doug and James.
The babies will then be delivered while everyone is therewill be at least a week or maybe 2 week celebration.

It’s not for me to place blame on anyone BUT as all see now Brad is more than OK with becoming a Dad through adoption as well as by birth. Brad became a Dad in his early 40’s and will have 6 kids by age 44. Many men are now not becoming Dads until they are in their 50’s or older. Different strokes for different folks.

I love it that Angie is home happily growing their babies and Brad is at a concert with Marianne. Take that all you people who say Angie is jealous and insecure and won’t let Brad out of her sight. She obviously is happy that her good friend and her lover are enjoying a night out together because she knows her man is coming home to her forever.

That sighting had to be more than a few years ago, more like 4-5 years ago, is that not more accurate? Few = 2-3.
Glad to know that Brad and Ed are still hanging as some have just been so sure that Brad had no friends at this point in his life. How ludicrous can some be. Brad’s Graff buds from Berlin and their families were seen visiting Brad and Angie in France last weekend. Since they flew to France at the end of April, Brad and Angie have stayed in Paul Allen’s villa, and have socialized with U2 among others.
Seems to me that Brad and Angie have a large circle of friends from all over the planet.

Just when I thought the tabloids couldn’t get any sillier…
This week’s OuttaTouch had me barking with laughter in the grocery store. They have written the single stupidiest line in the history of tabloids. This week’s story is about Brad being mad/jealous of Angie’s friendship with BBT. According to their imaginary insider Angie doesn’t see what the big deal is, but Brad is ticked because Angie told EW that she still loves BBT, think the world of him and is proud to have been his wife once upon a time. But…Angie doesn’t like it when Brad talks about his exes…and this is where the hilarity comes in. It seems that Angie gets jealous and catty about Putrid and X…and that’s why Brad doesn’t talk about his exes in interviews the way Angie does! ROTFLMBAO!! I laughed so loud that a couple walking by me tripped over the wheels of their cart trying to see where the laughter was coming from. That has GOT to be just about the dumbest thing one of these tabs has EVER written! Brad doesn’t talk about his exes…because…they ain’t worth the effort! LOL To him is done, water under the bridge, he ain’t ever going back…so why rehash it. Angie’s NOT X. Brad doesn’t have to spend hours making fun of Putrid to cajole Angie into a better mood. Or spend days talking about how much time X spent with her hair stylist perfecting ever strand of her. Angie flat out doesn’t give a shite about Brad’s exes! And neither does Brad for that matter. I’m sure he doesn’t wish them dead…just that they stay away from HIM.

A wedding is this weekend. Family is in town, and a few have yet to arrive. It will be a small family affair. Brads night out was the Radiohead concert with his brother Doug and James.
The babies will then be delivered while everyone is therewill be at least a week or maybe 2 week celebration.

You know “Insider”…you could be on to something because next week’s OuttaTouch has an “exclusive” photo of a chapel on the Miraval grounds. OuttaTouch proclaims “exclusive” photo like they just found a lost Rembrandt. Then you see the pic and it’s only from about mid-door to the top of the building. The “chapel” is old and cruddy looking with a banged up black wooden door. Not exactly anything to be crowing over an exclusive of. However…now that you’ve put this idea out there…next week’s OuttaTouch story will be about Brad & Angie’s secret ceremony at the chapel for which they have the photo “exclusive”. Ooh good…gives me sumpin’ to look forward to.

Angelina: world most wanted

There’s sexy, and then there’s scary-sexy.
Angelina Jolie certainly earns the extra adjective.
Those lips simultaneously pout and snarl, those eyes smolder, and her body seems specifically designed for seduction or attack.
That added sense of danger is what separates Jolie from all the other leading ladies of Hollywood. She frightens even as she tempts.
On-screen, she can be fearsome (Tomb Raider, Mr. & Mrs. Smith), blazing guns and throwing punches in costumes that are part **********, part commando. She can be sentimental, as in A Mighty Heart, TheGood Shepherd or the upcoming 1930s drama Changeling, but those aren’t part of the mystique and have been less popular with audiences than her glamorous roles.
Off-screen, she can be shocking - her candid talk of using and kicking drugs in her youth, wearing a necklace containing then-husband Billy Bob Thornton’s blood, planting an on-the-lips kiss on brother James Haven at the Oscars. But she also comes off as the ultimate nurturer - caring for her brood of four with partner Brad Pitt and drawing attention to suffering refugees as United Nations goodwill ambassador.
Apart from an out-of-control youth, which she says she has long outgrown, and a sincere interest in social issues, Jolie’s public image is mainly a reflection of the bad girls she has played - her Oscar-winning wild child from Girl, Interrupted, the succubus mother of the monster Grendel in last year’s Beowulf, the punk carjacker of Gone in 60 Seconds.
Her real-life bad girl might be done, but she’s not about to retire her on-screen. Consider this scene from the assassin thriller Wanted, opening June 27:
Jolie is sprawled across the sleek hood of a cherry-red Dodge Viper, clad in a silver cocktail dress and steering the wheel through a shattered windshield with one high-heeled shoe, while the other is pressed against the neck of the young man she’s rescuing (Atonement’s James McAvoy). As they race through a Chicago tunnel, she fires guns at a chasing assailant.
You don’t have to be Freud to see the erotic overtones.
“All I was thinking was, ‘God this is fun! Really fun,’ ” Jolie says, laughing.
Sitting cross-legged on a bed in a penthouse suite at the Hotel Carlton during the recent Cannes Film Festival, the soon-to-be mother of twins cradles her pregnant belly, hidden beneath a black frock. Lunch - steak and vegetables - sits in front of her.
Unlike her brooding screen presence, the 33-year-old seems cheerful and relaxed, showing a sometimes goofy sense of humor. She may be the daunting sex symbol of her time - what Madonna was a generation before, and Sophia Loren before that.
Jolie widens her eyes and mumbles, “Thank you,” through a mouthful of her lunch, covering her lips with her hand as she smiles. “I’m very much appreciative of that … as I wolf down a steak.”
She ranked No. 3 last week on Forbes magazine’s Celebrity 100 - behind only Tiger Woods and Oprah Winfrey in her cultural influence. Forbes writer Dorothy Pomerantz says Jolie combines the ferocity of a Madonna or Loren with something else.
“They’re all really powerful women and project an intimidating aura. But the difference with Angelina Jolie is she manages to have the best of both worlds,” Pomerantz says. “She projects that tough image on-screen, and for a long time in her regular life, but now she’s also like Mother Teresa off-screen, with all her charity work and her kids. She’s the ultimate mother and do-gooder. How many famous people can hold two images in their persona at once?”
In Wanted, Jolie is going bad again.
She plays the aptly named Fox, a world-class assassin whose job is to recruit and protect McAvoy’s character, a wimpy office clerk who has the supernatural power to bend the trajectory of bullets, into her fraternity of vengeance seekers.
The movie, a loose adaptation of a cult comic book, mixes gruesome violence with tongue-in-cheek touches of humor. Exhibit A: the ridiculousness of the chase scene.
At first, Jolie denies the scene’s sexual overtones, then acknowledges: “Well, I am in a dress with my legs spread. Honestly, I think it comes across that way because I wasn’t thinking about that at all. I loved it because she was somebody who has no time for boyfriends or relationships or sexuality or flirtation. She’s not like that at all. It’s like being with a solider.”
What makes femmes fatales so appealing, she says, is they “tend to not be throwing themselves at somebody, and are not thinking about that.”

She says playing someone who resists attention makes them, paradoxically, irresistible.
Fox “is not easy to get along with,” Jolie says. “Because of that, and how casual she is with her body - she doesn’t think twice about jumping across the hood of a car with a dress on - maybe that’s what comes across.”
She pauses and adds, “I just had to try to keep a straight face.”
But all that detachment takes work. Jolie did an unusual thing to make Fox seem more distant and unattainable: cut many of her own lines.
“There are a lot of scenes where James is talking, talking, talking, and I say nothing,” she says. “Or something’s happening, and I’m eating a cheeseburger while he’s being attacked. She has a fun sense of distance.”
She has a theory about her subconscious motivation. “Maybe it was my attempt at being Clint Eastwood (who directs her in Changeling). Maybe I was secretly trying to channel the coolest person who says nothing.”
Though the film is fantasy, Jolie says Fox’s back story - her father was murdered by a criminal who had been marked for death but was allowed to go free - reflects an exaggerated version of her own beliefs.
“I have strong opinions, which I don’t want to get into now, about international justice, about the death penalty, about people who get away with murder. There’s a little bit of that in this story, it’s kind of an underlying point, but the story doesn’t get too heavy into it,” she says. “I don’t like action movies that take themselves too seriously. Those action movies where everybody is acting very cool and it’s all very serious and the world is going to end? I tend to just giggle.”
There was another part of herself that she was able to include in Fox - her many tattoos. “Instead of taking mine away, which we have to do in every film, we ended up leaving mine and adding more.” Those temporary additions are on full display in one scene, where Fox emerges from a steaming bath and walks by stunned onlookers - again, not caring what they see.
“We tried to focus (the fake tattoos) on themes that would be related to this sense of justice. I have ‘Strength of Will’ in one language, and we added it in four other languages on my arm.” “Know Your Rights” is printed in English on the back of her neck, and again in Latin as well. “From Churchill’s speech ‘We have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat,’ I had ‘Toil’ and ‘Tears’ here and here,” she says, pointing to the undersides of her upper arms.
Wanted, Jolie says, is her break from more earnest performances as the wife of slain journalist Daniel Pearl in A Mighty Heart, an isolated housewife in the CIA drama The Good Shepherd and the mother of a missing boy in Changeling, which comes out Oct. 24 and could fuel Oscar talk.
She was happy to get back to an over-the-top action flick. As her manager, Geyer Kosinski, put it: “It’s what people want to see her doing. She said, ‘At some point, I have to get back to (sex) and killing.’ ”
Jolie says: “I’ve been so lucky in my career that I’ve been able to do a kind of Mr. & Mrs. Smith thing that’s really cool, and I’m made up to be as pretty as I can be. But I can also do a film like Changeling or A Mighty Heart, where it’s removed from that.
“There are those certain roles, like this role, where you joke with hair and makeup: ‘All right, make me foxy,’ ” she says. “I think it’s in every woman. It’s the little girl in us. There’s a side of us that likes to play dress-up and every once in a while get glammed up.”
For now, Jolie says she’s focusing on her role as doting mom.
She declined to confirm her due date, but she has very clear ideas about what the days and months leading up to the birth will be like.
“We’ve made a point to, both of us, not be working,” she says. “So we’ll be home together with the kids,” Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; and Shiloh, who just turned 2.
“At the same time we’re expecting two, we have four, so my focus now is on the four we have. And these are some big times for them, big moments in their lives. So every day is just about making sure that their schooling is going right and their manners are intact and we’re disciplining properly and we’re spending enough time with them individually, so they seem special. That’s a lot of balance when you have a lot of children.”
As for how Pitt is handling it all, she says, “I’m very lucky - I’m with a man who makes me feel very sexy pregnant and loves children. In the last few months it’s hard for me to pick up the other kids, so he’s there to help lift them up to me and things like that. He’s an extremely hands-on dad with all the kids and really, really supportive. Any woman knows that when you’re pregnant, if you have a partner who is embracing it with you and excited with you, it makes all the difference. I’m very lucky to have him.”
Since Cannes, Jolie and Pitt have lately stayed out of sight on their new estate in the South of France, the vineyard castle Chateau Miraval.
But people haven’t stopped talking about her. Reports, denied by her manager, earlier this month that she had given birth set off a media frenzy.
As she resists the attention, she becomes, paradoxically, irresistible.

With Jen A he had it at their wedding. With Jolie, he had it when they first met and the passion was flying. With Gwyneth, I don’t remember him grinning that much - perhaps he never had it - Gwyneth is not his type. Lewis brought it out when they were “madly in love” and in front of cameras. But the excitement never lasts for long. I know it. Brad likes being with his male friends the most. He’s a guy’s guy. That bright smile says it all.

Focus Features has released an International teaser trailer for The Coen Brothers’ “Burn After Reading” starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, and Tilda Swinton.
The film revolves around an ousted CIA official, played by John Malkovich, whose memoir falls into the hands of two Washington, D.C., gym employees, who decide to attempt to exploit their find.

It has not hit the wider media (yet) but I think that has more to do with him being a male and black.(not great selling points to the tabloid/gossip reading fans). But my point there was very little negative things written about Wil Smith when he was doing his tv show and releasing a movie here and there. But now that he has become this big star the knives are out to get him. This is the same with Angelina as she becomes a bigger than life star.

Some things about the summer movie season are as predictable as well, the summer movie season. There will always be movies based on comic books - like “Wanted.” There will always be movies worked on by five writers - like “Wanted.” There will be movies starring Angelina Jolie cast as a kind of gun-wielding fashion model - like “Wanted.” And action thrillers with body counts that rise faster than the national debt clock - like “Wanted.”
So what’s different about “Wanted,” which opens Friday, and its relationship to the very season that makes Hollywood the happiest? Among other things, that it’s directed by a Russian horror stylist; it stars a Scotsman whose biggest films have been the quasi-art-house hits “The Last King of Scotland” and “Atonement.” And that it features, in the all-important role of über-villain, a German best known for playing either Nazis or the pope.
For all the creative angles and counterintuitive characteristics of “Wanted,” the big question remains … Ms. Jolie. “She’s chilled out, a nice woman,” McAvoy said. “She doesn’t take it all too seriously. You know, we’re not changing people’s lives with a movie like this, and if you can’t have fun on the set of something like ‘Wanted,’ then someone else should probably be doing it.”
Kretschmann echoed his “Wanted” colleague. “You come on set, you’ve seen her all over the place, but it takes about 30 seconds to get over any intimidation. She makes it that way. She’s easygoing, but she’s a strong woman. I like strong women.
“She knows what she’s after,” he added. “And she goes for the kill.”

When “Wanted,” the new Angelina Jolie thriller, hits movie screens next weekend, moviegoers are sure to be wowed by the slow-motion bullets, flipping automobiles, and other special effects that have made the trailer a must-see. But few will realize that these sequences were filmed with an entirely new brand of video camera, a state-of-the-art device that is poised to permanently alter the landscape of the movie industry. Already well-known to filmmakers — not to mention thousands of owners — the name of the device is the Red One.

A Red Camera prototype, known as Scarlet, that is not yet available to the public.
For independent directors who have long relied on cheap and portable digital cameras, there has been a constant trade-off to stepping away from conventional 35 mm film. The most obvious sacrifice is picture quality, with standard high-definition cameras falling well behind conventional 35 mm cameras in terms of resolution.
To get technical for a moment, most movies shot on 35 mm are scanned into computers via a process that typically results in a resolution of 2K (this is what audiences see in the movie theater). Most HD cameras take in data at a rate just slightly lower than this, which is why digital films seem to lack the warmth or glow of traditional movies, and why filmmakers must pay special attention to such things as lighting and color when working with a less sophisticated piece of equipment. But the Red One camera takes in data at a resolution of 4K — nearly four times greater than a film scanned in at 2K. Perhaps equally important to artists: The Red One incorporates many of the same components as a conventional 35 mm camera, from lenses to similarly sized sensors.
Many filmmakers are giddy about this quantum leap in digital picture quality. But what is really going to alter the power structure of the industry is the cost of the Red One: $17,000 for the basic camera body, and just under $30,000 for the body and a basic package of components. In an industry in which most digital cinema cameras from such companies as Panavision and Sony are six-figure products and are rented to filmmakers and studios because the cost is so great, the prospect of a $30,000 package that offers a higher-quality product is nothing short of earth-shattering. Where filmmakers with budgetary constraints once had to sacrifice quality to go digital, and had to learn how to work with different com ponents, Red offers filmmakers better quality and the same workflow for less money.
Peter Jackson agreed to test out Red’s cameras for a short film titled “Crossing the Line,” and the result was screened at the annual meeting of the National Association of Broadcasters. Then a few months later, at the Cannes Film Festival, Steven Soderbergh’s four-hour epic, “Che,” the first film shot entirely on Red, made its debut. In its review of the film, Variety called the Red image “highly promising.”
Thus far, the only Red-related films to reach the public were released this year. Doug Liman’s “Jumper” used a Red prototype for some special-effects work, and “Wanted” featured another early Red device to shoot its considerable green-screen portions. Of course, as “Wanted” arrives in theaters, audiences may not notice a difference — which is part of the point.
“They actually had to add in noise and grain so it would blend more seamlessly with the scenes shot on film,” a spokesman for Red Digital Cinema, Jon Sagud, said. “It’s the ultimate satisfaction that we’ve created something so good that, for it to be seamless, the Red footage had to be dumbed down a little bit.”

War, Child Soldiers Show Refugee Plight in Tokyo Film Festival

June 20 (Bloomberg) — Angelina Jolie would applaud.
The actress and goodwill ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency, a champion of the millions forced to flee war and hunger in their homelands, will find empathy for her cause at a film festival in Japan.
For a week starting today, the third annual UNHCR Refugee Film Festival in Tokyo will screen about 40 award-winning documentaries, features and short films on the subject.
The festival opens with “War/Dance,” by directing duo Sean Fine and Andrea Nix Fine, which was nominated for Best Documentary at this year’s Academy Awards. The film shows how three talented Ugandan children from a congested refugee camp beat the odds to win a place at the nation’s prestigious National Music Competition.
“The purpose of the film festival is to encourage both the government and public to think about what can be done to welcome more refugees to start their new lives in Japan,” said Kirill Konin, the event’s artistic director. “It is a tool to create a better understanding about refugees and to clear the stereotypes and negative perceptions.”
This is a subject close to Japan’s heart. Asia’s earliest economic miracle is facing a declining and aging population that’s threatening future growth. A suggested solution is to admit more immigrants and refugees. On June 12, about 80 lawmakers submitted a proposal to change Japan’s population structure in the next 50 years to comprise 10 percent foreigners.

Wanted opens LA festival
The Los Angeles Film Festival has opened with the glitzy premiere of Angelina Jolie’s new movie Wanted.
The film’s stars stepped out on the red carpet for the special screening - minus the mum-to-be, who is due to give birth to twins. Angelina might have been absent, but that didn’t stop hundreds of screaming fans from turning out to catch a glimpse of her co-star James McAvoy.
The actor spent so much time signing autographs that he rushed in late to see the movie, shouting that people should see the flick because “it’s fun”.
Terence Stamp told reporters the best part of making the film had been “getting to kiss Angelina Jolie every morning before she went into make up”.
The actor had nothing but praise for his stunning co-star, saying: “She’s wonderful, she’s a magnificent looking creature but she’s a wonderful actress and she’s really co-ordinated which is really rare in anybody, let alone an actress, to be able to handle action like it’s no problem, so I was very happy to be part of the cannon of work that was Angelina Jolie.”
And as for rumours that the movie could be made into a sequel, Terence teased: “Hopefully, God willing as they say in the desert.”

That’s the question sharp-eyed Radiohead fans were asking themselves Wednesday evening, when Brad Pitt and Edward Norton - costars in the 1999 cult hit - reunited in the V.I.P. section for the band’s Milan show.
Wearing a straw fedora and sporting a mustache and goatee, Pitt left his Chateau Mirival home in the south of France - where he’s awaiting the impending arrival of his twins with Angelina Jolie - late Wednesday afternoon.
The 44-year-old then hopped a private jet to Milan, where he took in the concert with Norton and family friend Marianne Pearl (who Jolie portrayed in the film A Mighty Heart).
Norton has told interviewers in the past that he and Pitt share a passion for Radiohead’s early work. “Brad has definitely been to see the band perform before,” says a source. “He loves [their] music.”
Fans’ photos of Pitt - smiling and proudly showing Norton and Pearl pictures of his children on his cell phone - began circulating on Italian Web sites before the concert was even over.
Following the gig, it seems Pitt did not return to France right away. Both Italian and French news agencies are reporting Pitt bunked down overnight at the nearby home of another famous friend.
That would be George Clooney, of course, who lives 50 miles away in Lake Como.

Angelina Jolie is very blessed both to her professional & personal life. She is blessed because she is said to be a very good person even though the tabloids are fabricating stories or making lies about her most of the time.
Her personal life’s never been better. She is very happy with her family, children & especially Brad. She is even expecting her twins any day or weeks now. She is even starting to make peace with her father. Brad’s parents & siblings are also very supportive of her. She is also surrounded with good friends & people who are good influences in her life due to her humanitarian work. Her admirable passion for good deeds is still with her. I think her deceased mom seemed to be looking up for her while in heaven.
Her professional life is also turning out very fine. In spite of her being inactive at that from showbiz-related activities (like shooting new movie, attending premier nights, etc), she has able to come up with films (which were shot previous years) with very good results, commercially & critically. Last year, she had A Mighty Heart & Beowulf while for this year, she has Kung Fu Panda, Wanted & Changeling. All of these movies are given not without notice from the public or critics.
With all of these blessings, i can say Good Karma is really on her side. She really must have done something very good to deserve all these. It seems positive things are all happening to her. Maybe because she doesn’t allow negativity to control her life, that’s is why her focus is what matter’s the most- her family, humanitarian work, acting profession.
Isn’t she great?!
Nice that Brad got to take in concert with Marianne and Ed. Won’t be able to get out as much when the twins come. He and Angie are lucky to have a balance of family, coupledom, and a little alone time :)

It’s the price of fame. Will knew what he was getting into. His main problem is that he went VISIBLY public with his “friendship” with Tom Cruise. Shite rolls down hill, you know. There was a lot of shite being flung at Tom these last two years and it was bound to start sticking to anyone around him. Will should have RUN when he saw the way Tom was being dogged for his egomania and Scientoloweirdo beliefs. But, no, Will’s a stand-up guy, so he stood by his friend and said this guy’s not anything like the media is making him out to be. Will turned the spotlight on himself and because of that he’s now under the same intense scrutiny as Tom Cruise.

I saw that Katy item, too. It is quite amazing, despite the ‘other camp’ trying to manipulate the media on ‘her’ advantage for the past three years, the Hollywood A-list and peers are all routing for the Jolie-Pitts now. The evidence of media manipulation: RHI firing of director, etc and now the Connelly-gate, the industry and media now know who was telling the truth all along.
Brad and Angie’ “sister” Mariaane is at a concert in Italy while Angie is in France suffering from high blood pressure,edema low sugar ,labor pains, fainting etc according to tabs . How insensitive!
