Jamie lynn is still a normal teenager who has made a mistake like everyone else does. At least she is willing to take responsibles for her own actions…and yes she had sex like many other young teens in the world, if this was your best friend and she got pregnant would all you bashers call your friend a *****, hoe, **** and disown her? I would hope not.

Best of Luck to Jamie and Casey, hopefully they are able to raise their new baby girl in a happy, health relationship and Jamie has learned from her mistakes as well as her sisters mistakes.

Yes I would be happy if it were my daughter because I would want my daughter and her baby to be happy and healthy.
God, I bet some of you were wishing the baby would’ve been still born or that Jamie Lynn would’ve died during labor because at least that would taught all of the yungins a lesson. Shaming her is not going to make her a good mother, positive reinforcement will help her along.

I’m happy that she is happy and that she and her baby are healthy.

I feel sad for you Janey that you would be HAPPY that your 17-yr. old daughter got “knocked up”… just proves my point that the fiber of our morality is going down the tubes by the truckload!

No congratulations to the couple from me, 17 and 19! What does she know about raising a child, since she is still one. However, I’m happy that the baby is healthy.

It seems that you were probably a wild child, aye? Probably still living at home with mommy and daddy, STILL going to frat parties, boozing it up and spreading your legs at 25? Some mature faster than others sweetheart. I can’t help it if today’s pathetic 30 year old’s still aren’t ready to grow up, so people are waiting longer and longer to have children which in the end just causes more complications. Poor babies. That doesn’t mean that the few of us left who are ready to start families are incapable of doing so.

Funny, I was a young wife (at 18) and a young mom (at 19). I’ve been VERY happily married to my military man for over five years now. Funny, I’m an incapable “young idiot who is/was still a child” yet my husband fights for your right to say such ignorant things.

I’ve seen 30 and 40 year old new mom’s who were terrible to their children. The same women who would rather work than spend time with their babies not because they need the money but because “they couldn’t stand to have to deal with their brats all day”. I’ve heard that one a time or two. Hurrah for granny moms, still? I think not. I would rather still be coherent when my child is 16 and still be capable of taking care of him properly. I would also love to be able to be around for my grandchildren. It would be selfish of me not to.

She had a baby…whether she’s 17 or 30…that’s something to celebrate. Especially if she has her own place and the father is still in the pictures.

So yeah…Congratulations

I agree. Whether she is 17 or 40 she is a mother now. she has taken responsibility and thats a good thing. and to all you people with your heads up your a**’ teen pregnancies happen. And shes taking being responsible, so back off.
