OlderJanet Jackson Scores Reality TV Show
Janet Jackson arrives at the third annual Loveday celebration and Cartier Love Charity Bracelet launch held at a private residence on Wednesday in Los Angeles. The 42-year-old singer/actress posed with CEO and President of Cartier North America Frederic de Narp and longtime beau Jermaine Dupri.
Ms. Jackson is also developing a music competition reality TV Show for MTV, reports Variety. The as-yet-titled project will feature Janet as she mentors a group of aspiring singers and dancers as she prepares for her world tour, which launches on Sept. 10.
“It’s really about finding who’s the next Janet Jackson or Justin Timberlake or Usher,” said exec producer Dave Broome. “And we’ll find it from a pool of people who you wouldn’t typically find it from. We’ll go to YMCAs, church groups, local community centers and try to cast the show.”

Is it just me or is there alot of reality shows coming up?
There’s Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton, Brody Jenner, Janet Jackson and possibly Heidi & Spencer
Just because reality shows such as The Hills, is successful doesn’t mean everyone should randomnly create a reallity show.

I am so sick of these reality shows. There really isn’t anything on TV to watch anymore. Has anyone else noticed Kathy Griffin (sp) has literally taken over Bravo? Every channel just shows the same rerun shows over and over. I guess the good part is my family doesn’t watch much TV anymore.

I love her and will watch the show only if it is good and captivates me. I still love her and cannot wait for the tour. On a different note, Janet’s CD did debut at number 1 but I guess she wasn’t as number 1 as she once was so she’s over. What a bunch of crap. Besides, what the Hell does she, or Michael for that matter, have to prove? I love her and still didn’t buy the album. But it is great!

Wow- i wonder if janet has noticed that PEOPLE DONT LIKE HER. A reality show will only make her situation worse- watching her judge people more talented than her will make for some hilarious tv- if janet cant save her own career how does she expect to raise a succesful artist when everything associated with her is looked upon with disgust and laughed at.
