the things is,leighton deserves more fame than blake.blake’s name comes up first always,at the beginning of the show.its so freaking unfair?first,its pretty obvious leighton had more experince and is a better actress,she does most of the scenes we see every episode.Blake can’t act,no offense.Look at the episode where blair,nate and chuck were there to help her.

I agree that Blake is not pretty enough to play Serena. Do not get me wrong, she is very pretty. But Serena is supposed to be drop dead gorgeous, the type of girl that looks amazing in anything and to whom all eyes fall when she enters a room. I think Leighton, on the other hand, is perfect as Blair. Blair is supposed to be the type of girl who most girls would want to be and who most guys would want to date… until they see Serena and forget all about her. I don’t think Blake outshines Leighton enough in that way.

And no, I have nothing for or against either of these actresses, just speaking from having read the book and seen the show. And I think the show works fine with these two actresses, but the casting could be a little better.
