OlderJames McAvoy is a Wanted Hobbit
James McAvoy attends the film premiere of Wanted at the Mann Village Westwood Theater on Thursday in Los Angeles, California.
The 29-year-old actor was accompanied by his wife, Anne-Marie Duff, 37. The couple met while filming Shameless and was married in October 2006.
James has recently denied reports he is to take the lead role in the new movie version of Lord of the Rings prequel The Hobbit.
“I’m going to not act for a little while and take some space and take some time — and make some ‘me’ time, you know, all that rubbish,” he explained to Radio 1.
“It’s not true,” he said of the The Hobbit rumors. “It’s come off the internet and turned into a story for some reason. There’s not even been a script yet.”

I MET HIM @ 06/20/2008 at 11:21 am I met him last Nov at a screening for Atonement. He is adorable in person and such a nice man. Apparently he’s taking a couple years off so he can decompress from the attention he’s been getting as of late and spend time on ‘him’.

His wife is so lucky. I don’t think she looks that bad. Besides younger guys are starting to date older women. My brother in-law has an older wife he’s 28 and she’s 37. She did lie about her age though. It’s only a number.

I agree that James can play just about any role. I really like him as an actor, Morgan Freeman too,…and I love Angelina.

He is a brilliant actor. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that he’s gorgeous and has the most beautiful eyes..
He’s a great actor, though I’m not sure Wanted will be my type of movie. The short hair definitely suits him, he should keep it that way. Never knew he was married and that his wife was so many years older than him. They look nice together.
