Ed Westwick: You’re Just a Tattoo

Gossip Girl’s resident bad boy Ed Westwick heads home after a hard day’s work of fun in the sun in Southampton, N.Y., on Friday. (He was spotted wearing loads of argyle in his Chuck Bass outfit earlier in the day.)

While walking out of his trailer, the 20-year-old British star had the left side of his shirt sleeve pulled up, revealing a tattoo on his upper left arm. (He also revealed a chest tattoo, which he showed backstage on TRL in December.)

WHAT DO YOU THINK Ed Westwick’s arm tattoo says and more importantly, means? 2kg?

If it’s 21 grams, then that could be representative of the weight of the average human heart. In which case, Ed is wearing his heart on his sleeve, so to speak.

you people need to get your facts straight……the weight of a human heart is 250g-350g (9-12 oz) and Ed’s tattoo says 21g so it cannot be “heart on this sleeve”

p.s. those people who said “its the weight of the soul” are like completely stupid because the “soul” itself cannt be weighted….duh!!!

#77 you’ve just proven that someone can go to college and still be a moron.
The 21 gram soul is referring to an experiment a doctor did around 1910 in which he “proved” that the human soul weighs 3/4 an ounce. Granted this was a terribly flawed experiment and in reality proved next to nothing, but it’s existence is very well-known and maybe something you should have looked up before acting like a jerk to people and pretending to be an internet genius.

yes, 21g is supposed to represent the weight of the soul- as renfamous explained-, and it is also the title of a movie starring naomi watts and sean penn. supposed to be interesting and extremely depressing.

i read once that is a reference to the movie “21 grams” starring Seans Penn - accordingly one of his fellow bandmembers from The Filthy Youth has the same tattoo.
so my guess is, that he really enjoyed the movie and it might mean something important to him and his friend since they both decided to get the tattoo… dunno though, just a guess. (:
