A lot of what you were criticizing Ben’s abilities can also be attributed to poor directing. It often baffles me when I’m watching a film and the acting B level for what should be an A-List film. I don’t understand how they can settle for what is obvious to anyone watching the movie is a bad take. Even *horrible* actors can look good with the right direction.

Problem with Ben is, well, Good Will Hunting. It *vaulted* both he and Matt Damon into a world that I don’t think either of them were ready for. Yes, they’d both acted before, but G.W.H. was a catapult. It’s true also that Matt landed better and took off running with what looked like ease. But with Ben, the role choices were poor (meaning he made poor choices, not that I think he was only offered poor choices). There is potential there, however. He has moments when he absolutely shines. Unfortunately, nobody has seemed to capitalize on what is behind those moments (i.e. his acting potential)

Any way you look at it though, he seems to be a genuine guy who isn’t trying to claim he’s something he’s not. He doesn’t seem to be the “I’m a *star*, I’m awesome type.

#23, you are so right. He does go around blaming others for his downfall, not accepting the fact that he is a terrible actor. Nowadays he’s been trying to be labeled as a director but I don’t think that is going to work either. He and Casey speak like they have marbles in their mouth…horrible actors both of them. His wife doesn’ t fair any better, she always has the same expression on her face and has no range whatsoever. As for the daughter….their is still hope that she will get pretty as she grows up…because she is not that good looking. Fortunately her very rich parents will spoil her the way they spoil her now. She is their trophy baby, because without her nobody would pay any attention to these two.l0l.

do u ppl actually know what your saying? as for ben, calling his brother, funny looking…he the one with the last laugh.. ben was too much of a playboy when he hit it big..as for matt damon he was more mature in his career choices and women( he did minnie driver wrong, though)

69…No Jennifer Garner is not a phenomenal actor, she got mixed reviews for her B’way debut, but you can dream if you like. She didn’t win Crap for her Broadway stint, she was nominated for nothing, zero. In the Kingdom she didn’t get good reviews either, they just threw her in there for reasons unknown. As for Juno…she had no range, she wasn’t in the movie long enough to even make an impact…dumb movie but her fans can keep on dreaming on. You can love her and think she’s a great actress it’s your perogative, she sucks, sucks and keeps on sucking.

Stop this ridiculous love fest with these two they both suck as actors and i agree with #70 it’’s lauughable that they find man looking jen phenemonal as an actress i laugh so hard, i almost peed on my pants. i swear to god if jen did not give birth to fugly violet, you could not have convince me that she was a woman, she is so manly looking, they have always said that ben could go both ways , now i understand why he is with a manly woman.

Once of my absolute favorite celeb families. No only are all of the gorgeous, but they have such great personalities as well. Ben must really be a cool guy if he speaks of his brother in such a praising way! And look at little Violet, too cute, though they are probably getting annoyed by all the paparazzi surrounding them.
