Disney starlet Selena Gomez arrives at the world premiere of Wall-E held at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday.
Selena, 15, has undoubtedly been receiving comparisons to Miley Cyrus due to both of their early success. “I think it’s an honor, it’s a good compliment,” said Selena. “But I think I might want to take a different route when it comes to that. I love acting, and that’s my passion. So I would love to do more movies and some serious things. So maybe a different road with me.” Ms. Gomez is planning on recording an album later in the year, but she hopes it will be part of a band instead of a solo singer!

Anyway, Selena Gomez is actually the ONLY Disney star who can actually ACT! She’s a natural, she delivers her lines in a realistic way and doesn’t exaggerate and makes weird faces like all the other Disney stars. It shows that Selena has the potential to become a serious actress. And look at her, she looks beautiful, kinda like Penelope Cruz mixed with Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Miley Cyrus will lose her fame once Hannah Montana is over, no one is going to take her seriously once she’s out of Disney. And Demi Lovato became famous way too fast, she’s gonna burn out eventually. But Selena is actually wise enough to take it slow. She’s actually taking a similar road that Shia LaBeouf took, he was a Disney star from Even Stevens and now look at him, he’s in tons of movies with big time movie directors and successful actors. Selena will have her name on the walk of fame, while Miley and Demi just ends up being former child stars.
Selena is a sweet, down-to-earth girl who’s a good role model for children. There’s really nothing to hate about her.

selena’s pretty, but nothing special. demi is really nothing better (looks wise), but she has an amazing voice and that’s really all that matters. and plus, demi has a great personality as it seems and a great sense of humor, whereas selena just seems pretty much boring. as for miley, even though a ton of people hate her, i actually like her. she could make a sex tape for all i care, and i’d still like her. i’m old enough and smart enough to know that what celebrities do sometimes are wrong and i’d never emulate her. i just like a little spice in my life, not boring, wannabe goody two shoes disney kids.

That’s an absolutely ridiculous statement that has ABSOLUTELY nothing to back it up. Wether or not the current crop of “Disney Kids” can go the distance remains to be seen.
As far as Selena Gomez is concerned she’s very chamring on “Wizards of Waverly Place” but I don’t know yet if she’s really got the IT factor yet. As I said before only time will tell.
I agree with #58. I don’t see why all these kids are like “OMG I LOVEEEEE SELENA”. She’s sooo boring. She just doesn’t interest me. And whoever said she’s taking Shia Labouf’s route. UM NO. Shia Labouf gained his fame on his own. Yeah selena did too, but now she’s everywhere, and being mentioned in every blog. That doesn’t make her seem so “low key”. People are going to get sick of her, just like people got sick of Miley. Plus, her show is eh alright. At least shia’s show kept me laughing.

#29 FYI Shakira is not “White” and she is HUGE in the music industry, the reason many people don’t like Slutena Hoemez is she is so fake and if you look at her pictures those poses are the same poses VANESSA HUDGENS does, or even Miely Cyrus. Selena is so fake if you knew her you’d know that. my dad is always taking me to premieres with him and I am so bored of seeing that big ***** all over. Miley is hilarious and Demi can be I must say it kinda nice when she is not around Slutena, Miley has personality and onstage presence and Demi doesn’t , Demi’s voice is good, Slutena’s is not . Selena is just gonna be another DC star for many years I mean come on she is not original she is so a HALEY wanna be, she wants to be in a band exactly like PARAMORE who I must say are rocking awesome.
