Disney starlet Selena Gomez arrives at the world premiere of Wall-E held at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday.
Selena, 15, has undoubtedly been receiving comparisons to Miley Cyrus due to both of their early success. “I think it’s an honor, it’s a good compliment,” said Selena. “But I think I might want to take a different route when it comes to that. I love acting, and that’s my passion. So I would love to do more movies and some serious things. So maybe a different road with me.” Ms. Gomez is planning on recording an album later in the year, but she hopes it will be part of a band instead of a solo singer!

No way. She went to my middle school. I was in choir with her. NO. She blasted her way past the front row that she usually stood in, and it wasn’t pretty. Sound booths are designed to make people sound good, but I promise there is nothing brilliant about Selena’s voice. She should stick to acting, though I’ve yet to see anything so different about her, which is what we all need from Disney.

I don’t know, shell, I was looking at Miley’s auditions for Hannah Montana on youtube and while her father must’ve been a big help in getting a part on the show, I don’t think she was totally undeserving. I may not like Miley or Selena, but I do enjoy watching Hannah Montana because of Miley.
Someone said that Selena looks like a little girl— I kinda agree. I think all the girls are pretty, though, wouldn’t go as far as beautiful.
I don’t like how people compare the two girls. They’re obviously different people; they’re similar in that they’re both successful through Disney Channel shows.
Someone said that disney channel stars always crash and burn.. I don’t totally agree. I would never have imagined Louis from Even Stevens turning into a Blockbuster film hottie. If you mean failure in Hollywood by “crash and burn”, then you’re exaggerating a bit. Shia’s career is looking good right now, even if he just got arrested for a DUI or something (still, that’s not relevant– we’re discussing careers at the moment).
Why are you all comparing any girl who is acting and singing in Disney to miley Cyrus. She is not the first to do this any of you guys heard of hilary duff.

I think selena and demi lovato r the the best celebrities i know. I seen tmz on tv but it barely proves anything. plus i am a huge fan of selena and demi. i hope they brodcast more videos on youtube .com.
