Vanessa Hudgens is featured in the August 2008 issue of CosmoGirl. Check out her interview to see what a day in the life of Vanessa is like and what her and boyfriend Zac Efron are really like.
Newsweek also did a (stupid) interview with Vanessa. (It’s the same interviewer who was completely unprofessional with Clay Aiken.) Here are some excerpts:
“HSM” director Kenny Ortega once told me you and Zac Efron started dating on the first “High School Musical,” and I don’t think I’ve ever heard that story. And I’m going to keep it that way.
You’re not going to tell me? No. Only because I don’t want to talk about it. It might hurt the relationship. That’s something I have to myself.
So, is it hard to go on dates? No. We do what we want.
Are the reports true that Zac doesn’t like to shower? That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. Whoever came up with that is completely idiotic.
Because when I met him, he smelled perfectly fine. He showers! He showers! Believe me, he does.
Every day? Yes! Of course.

By the way, what an awesome album! I can’t believe she got Lil Mama to rap on it. They are much better than the clips and the ballads own me. Well done girl, I’m so proud of you!
Those interviews that Newsweek does with celebrities is meant to be sarcastic and light-hearted, while poking fun at the interview subjects. It’s not heavy content, and that’s why it’s in the back of each issue. Who reads Newsweek for celebrity infotainment? Whoever doesn’t have a sense of humor comes off like a complete dolt (i.e. Clay Aiken), or it’s just a sign that their PR reps didn’t do a great job of researching the Q&A or preparing their clients.
I agree with Jared, the interview was totally unprofessional and, may I say, stupid. I’m sad because of the late appearance of this post here at JJ. It will cause hysteria again, I’m sure of it. B cannot we concentrate on the work of either Vanessa or Zac? *sigh*
I love you Jared because You mentioned her album! And people should listen to her album on the site suzy posted. It is amazing, in my opinion. A must buy for me.
And one more thing: Vanessa is beautiful on the cover. Is it only me or does she tend to wear hats more often? I’m not complaining, not at all…

#11 YOU DON’T HAVE A CRYSTAL BALL!! I don’t know where Vanessa will be in five years and neither do you. Nobody knows what roles may come her way. As far as the actresses you mention:
Evan Rachel Wood? She’s got talent I agree but she’s sucked into the bizarre and IMO self-destructive orbit of Marilyn Manson unless she breaks away from that like Rose McGowan did, you can stick a fork in her she’s done. But then again I don’t have a crystal either as a I said.
As far as Ellen Page goes unless she gives another Oscar caliber role and performance like in “Juno,” (and I suspect she will before long) I don’t know if I see her making a big splash in mainstream Hollywood. The only reason why I say that is just because I think she too specific and idiosyncratic of an actress, I see her as being more of a fixture of the Indendent scene and there’s nothing wrong with that.
In other words I don’t see her competing with Vanessa for roles. I think she’s going to go a completely different way.
Nobody knows what kind of scripts Vanessa is getting although she did turn down a role in the remake of “Prom Night,” and giving the critical and commercial drubbing that film got I would say that was a smart move on her part.
So where will Vanessa be in five years? As far as we know she just might have won an Oscar, a Tony, an Emmy and a couple of Grammys by then. Of course even if that does happen I predict you still won’t have changed your tune where she’s concerned.
Okay, I’m not usually one to be mean, but she looks really….. ugly on that magazine cover. Who chooses the cover photos? Surely there had to be one that was better than that??

I love the way people who profess their hatred of Vanessa are always among the first to find threads about her to make comments. Have we forgotten she was on the cover of people magazine? I’m sure she’ll be just fine in five years. At lest they’re giving her more time. First it was after HSM2, after then HSM3 .Of course she is in teen movies, she is a teen.
