Rihanna Shows Her Sunshine
Rihanna (in Giambattista Valli) is a vision in yellow at the 2008 BET Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
She shined so much, her current boy-toy Chris Brown won the first award of the evening! Chris won best male R&B artist and thanked “my mom, God, everybody. If I leave y’all out, I’m sorry.”
Missy Elliot as well as Kobe Bryant won some awards early this evening as well.
Congrats to all the winners!

This dress is horrible for her figure and why would you wear the colour lipstick with that dress?!
Surprisingly awful since she usually brings it…cake topper dress and clunky shoes. Not a good look.

Chris Brown winning best R&B is a proven sign of how far music has fallen and how R&B is in a coma. It’s a sad day when this non-singing teeny bopper is considered to be in the same catagory as so many (what I consider to be) true R&B (Rhythm & Blues) singers/songwriters/dancers/performers and lovers of them and the genre. We’re cringing, teary and seriously bummed.

….oh yeah, Rihanna is gorgeous. She’s no more R&B than her might be boyfriend, but as far as her personality and how she carry’s herself, I think she’s so much more interesing/genuine/self assured than a Beyonce and that ilk.

Remember back in the far, far days when you would go over your Great Grand Mothers or Aunts and they had them pillows with the dolls attached with the puffy dress? Well that’s what Rihanna looks like.
She is not R&B. If you watched her performance as usual she was boring!!!
She was off key, tune, you name it she was off. She didn’t try to carry the song to give it some life and when she put her head back like she had done something I cried. She can be cute all day but this is the most overrated, no singing a weak song boring performer..

she looks beautiful. i love how she takes a dress that could easily be seen as rediculous on someone else and instead makes it totally cool. some people just have got “it” and she def does.

The dress is awful enough on its own without adding the bright freaking purple lips on top of it.
#55, he won because he CAN sing (proven in songs like ‘Say Goodbye’) and he can also dance. He’s broadening his horizons by crossing over into pop (’forever’) but that doesn’t mean that he’s talentless. He may not show his vocal range in some songs but he has the capacity to and it’s shown.
Personally I think the dress is a little too long for my taste, especially since it’s summertime but I love the color
