Miley Cyrus opens up to Billboard about her topless photo scandal with Vanity Fair. Here are some excerpts from her
On her Vanity Fair debacle: “I was embarrassed… but also it’s like, every career thing that I do can’t be perfect, and sometimes my decisions are wrong. I think that just makes me even more relatable. I don’t think people will look at me any differently because they’re like,’You know what, I’m going to do stupid stuff too, and I’m going to make mistakes, and that’s fine.’ It still hurts when I think about it.”
On her new album, Breakout: “It’s grown-up. I wrote all the songs except two. My last one, Meet Miley Cyrus, was more just meeting me, finding out who I am, and here it’s more getting in depth of what’s been going on in my life in the past year.”

Oh my gosh. Are you serious? All of you who say that you ‘hate her ‘ GET OVER IT. Everybody makes freaking mistakes. The picture wasn’t even that bad. Seriously. She looked pretty in it. Every famous person takes pictures like that and you are only going to pick on Miley. It really makes me mad when everybody goes against her because she is a teen and made one mistake. Do not be hating on her when I guartnee all of you who are talking crap on her have took worse photos then that, or pictures like that. Get over yourselves who make fun of her. It’s really childish.

She didn’t make one mistake, don’t you get it? She made a million. I think Disney saw the future and thats when “Nobodys Perfect” was born. No one better to sing it than Miley!
First it was all those stupid shots with her rising her top up and showing her without a bra on BUT she was wearing a shirt so its all good!
Then it was her with her boyfriend. I mean its okay to be with your boyfriend but your myspase was hacked.. so why would you risk it again? She wants *cough* attention *cough*
And now its the beyond stupid photoshoot where she pretended she had no idea what was going on. “Who me? What no! Its not my fault.. the only reason i took my top off was because… uh… i was blind folded i swear!”
Last but not least, not everyone takes pics like that. You see.. some of us actually have a self esteem and don’t need little boys saying how hot we look with only our underwear on. I know some s.luts- i mean girls like compliments and NEED them to get through the day.. but again.. not all are like that. And if you are i suggest you step away from the computer.

the whole vanity fair scandal…why would she be embarrassed when she agreed to it, and she WANTED to do it…that’s just lame…

She did the vanity fair shoot so she could come back a few weeks later and complain about how wrong she was, just to get more publicity for herself. She knows she’s not going to be hitting the kid/teen market much longer and was trying to pull in the adults…didn’t work either! I’m not a fan of hers, but vanity fair is far from a tasteless magazine, and she wasn’t naked, but who wants to see her on the cover of vanity fair anyway? She and her family knew what they were doing with that Vanity Fair shoot. Take the provacative photo, then protest it to create the media attention…after all, that photo wasn’t on the cover, it was buried inside.
The photo itself was nice, albeit more appropriate for someone a bit older.
As for her image, why is it she has her legs splayed in every photo you see of her? Even in the Milk ad she’s doing it. She’s playing a coy little game.
She isn’t a great singer, as far as I can tell from the cheesy HM songs she sings, but I agree with the people that say she made a mistake and there is no reason to hold it over her head the way you guys are doing. Although I am not a fan of her music, I am a fan of her as a person and I think it is terrible that you would all attack a 15 year old girl for her mistakes. This is the age when teen girls make the most mistakes and they don’t always learn from the first time. I say we all leave her alone.
