Orlando Bloom Hits Up White Tie and Tiara Ball
Orlando Bloom rubs shoulders with Chopard co-President Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele (in Dolce & Gabbana) at the 10th Annual White Tie and Tiara Ball held at Sir Elton John’s Woodside home on Thursday in Old Windsor, England.
The ball benefited the Elton John Aids Foundation in association with Chopard.
Elton’s partner David Furnish said: “The theme this year is ‘beach party’ so we’ve got Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys playing. The aim every year is to get people to say that it was the best one yet.”
“I can die a very happy man,” Sir Elton said.

Interesting the only one with a true smile from him is with his friend. The others all look like….hee….pr/can I get a photo with you shots. To me, he looks worn out and guarded in the others, even those posted elsewhere. No smile in the eyes. I know others are relieved to see him solo, but does this really change anything he’s done or will be doing? Are WE, after all is said and done, so quickly willing to go back and buy anything he’s trying to sell just because he’s appears to have attended alone?

I much prefer seeing him solo at charity events than following the model around wherever she goes. And I don’t ‘hate’ her; in fact I think she’s very pretty as far as physical looks are concerned. But unfortunately it seems this particular ‘relationship’ has done him a lot more harm than good although obviously she seems to have benefited from it rather well. And for what it’s worth he definitely looks better with his clothes on than he does with them off at this point - in my honest opinion. By the way, nice suit!

I’ve been wondering if the best thing for him to do, in termes of career and personal stability, is to completely get off the stage for a good long time. Longer than just a few weeks–maybe a couple of years even? To reset the clock, let people forget, work on a few–ok, a lot–of things, and make a humble, competent and satisfying comeback. Prove he’s a skilled talent and a down to earth guy, that he’s learned a few things. Several other faded teen heartthrobs have done it, can he?

I meant the other women and society people attending wanting their pictures with him, no red carpets needed for those, pretty standard practice actually. Some would even say that is the purpose behind inviting celebrities–to entice the egos of the money people, to rub elbows with other pretty people, and donate funds. Bloom becomes a show pony. That’s his job at these functions, plus it raises/maintains his profile in the golden bubble too.

Always has had a great smile when he REALLY smiles but don’t see many of those anymore. Still, I like these pix a lot better than most I’ve seen recently. Well, he didn’t have make up artists around him 24/7 during his years with Kate, when they were caught by paps, or did the set up photo op thing which many think he’s doing with Miranda. Assuming he wasn’t being made up with make up artists when he dated Kate and got papped or went to functions, and he looked much better, why should his appearance have suffered so much over the past couple of years? The man is not aging well, and it’s most likely due to lack of self care and his lifestyle choices. He looks like he just doesn’t care about himself, and that suggests lack of self esteem or maybe being unhappy. He could stand to take a bit more pride in himself and his personal appearance. That wouldn’t make him a male diva, just a man who cares enough about himself to take proper care of himself.

I understand your points and I was only trying to offer mine. I’m sorry to hear that Orlando was rude to a fan, but we don’t know the reason or if this is even true. Of course there’s no excuse for rudeness, but sometimes things can be misinterpreted or blow out of proportion. Maybe that fan was being overbearing. Not to say he should have laughed at her, but I’ve seen some fans be quite pushy and rude. I should probably also point out that I’ve met Orlando SEVERAL times and never once was he rude to me or any other fan there. I’m sure in the past he’s done things he’s not proud of and still has bad moments every now and then. Who doesn’t? And yes, he should be held accountable, but not condemned.
As for his looks, Orlando and I are the same age. I know a lot of other people our age so I have a point of comparison when I say he’s aging just fine. I’m not asking everyone to agree with me, just to consider a different view point (which I also try to do when I read their posts.) I also don’t get why when sexy photos of him half naked come out people start talking about how out of shape he is. Hello? Are we looking at the same pictures? How chiseled is he supposed to be? Anyway, thanks for pointing out that bad fan encounter because it’s a side of him I’ve never seen or heard about and at least you’re offering some evidence for why you feel disgusted with him. However, I personally would judge him more by how he behaves the majority of the time and not just in an off moment years ago. People can learn from their mistakes and from what I can tell he seems to have learned how to treat fans.

She might have got the guy, whether by manipulation or whatever, but a good portion of his fandom is not so damn gullible as he has been. Women are known to have a “sixth sense” when it comes to other women and what their intentions are.
So Miss Transparent needs to maybe just try a bit of honesty. I personally dont think she is capable of it as it seems she’s been handed whatever she wants from an early age and never knew any other method other than manipulation. When was he sighted buying a North Face jacket? He is wearing a lightweight jacket in the photo, that I don’t remember seeing before, and that could give us a timeline.

A fresh haircut also negates any use of any old photos, videos, paps or otherwise, to confirm or deny some place that he is or isnt. From July 18th on, all pics with him in them will be buzz cut. Nice thinking Bloom.
Anyways, I like the buzzcut on him. He has a bit of a square head, but for some reason it really suits him. Its not as wild as the fauxhawk was back in the day (loved the fauxhawk) but its a nice change, and gives him a bit rougher look and not too much pretty boy stuff going on.
