Here is your sneak peek of Vanessa Hudgens‘ Sears commercial thanks to Access Hollywood.
The 19-year-old High School Musical star will be featured in five different television ads, all of which feature a girl trying to figure out what to wear on her first day back to school. The commercials were directed by Joseph Kahn and Chris Probst, including one homage to Britney Spear’s school girl music video, “Baby One More Time”.

Love the great news about the SEARS campaign. I think the commercials will get her more in the public eye which will be good for her album . Now all they need to do is play one of her songs in the backround during the commercial, or better yet have Vanessa singing while dancing.

Anyway, have you guys heard “Commited” from Vanessa ? Her voice is absolutely AMAZING in that song … It matured a lot ! “Set it off” is really cool too . I have the links to download these songs but I think it’s not very legal .
As much as I want to reply to each hater’s post one by one in defence of Vanessa, I won’t. It would be a fruitless project because they are so wrapped up in hating her, they can’t see what’s before their very eyes- a gorgeous, talented, sweet actress/singer. Their loss, I doubt she’s losing sleep over it.
I do want to address one thing- remember that Ty Pennington is a spokesmodel for Sears and he’s considered very successful. Granted, it’s for a different department inside of Sears but it’s the same store. I know a lot of people don’t shop at Sears but I can tell you I’m going to look for that gray vest the next time I’m at the mall!

kristin, I would love to bash every hater comment too, because they’re just SO ridiculous. They are entitled to their opinions, but why they bother, is just beyond my comprehension.

What we see, is a beautiful young woman, who has a great vibe, great energy, has good sense, great talent, and a fab work ethic. She’s not afraid to work hard, unlike many teens these days. Here’s a tip - get a life and find something better to do on a Friday night than stick up for Vanessa Hudgens, I’m sure she doesn’t care that much! And I’m sorry, but Sears is on the lower end of retail department stores, get over it, she could have said ‘no’ and opted to go for a higher-end store, but she didn’t. I’m glad they won’t be getting my money because I won’t be paying for those cheap clothes. Bottom line - get a life!

As far as the Sears debate, hey, Jacklyn Smith did K-mart once upon a time. Bet you have no idea who she is. I’m not a Sears shopper, but I applaud those chains for finding a celeb that teens can relate to to promote their clothes. Vanessa has GREAT style, and I can think of no one better. Plus, not all girls have the $$$ to shop at ridiculous stores like Abercrombie but they still want to look good. Sears makes their clothes look fab on Vanessa. Good business move on their part, and good for Vanessa to promote something ordinary grils can afford. Stop being such a snob.
