And yes I’m a mother with a teenage daughter and if you’r e anything half as decent as Vanessa you would respect your elders. Go Sox is a respectable and mature professional which I can’t say for your self. You’d do well to behave yourself. You sound like a downright snob. Guess, Gossip girl’s your favourite show. Uptowngirl, I have absolutely NO problem with my age. I’m 50, proud of it, have an awesome husband for 28 years, a long career as a nurse, 3 GREAT kids, ages 26, 24, and 19, and I’m proud to support a great young woman like Vanessa, who is working hard on her career, and doesn’t need people like you putting her down for that.

And frankly my dear, I don’t give a HOOT if Vanessa reads any of this. We don’t post here thinking celebs do. We share thoughts with people from all over the world, and it’s a bit of relaxation for me. But I have enjoyed our debate! :o)

Pam, totally agree with you. People forget what makes a brand expensive is the marketing. I have bought t-shirts which are just as good as the guess brand for 1/3 the price.

When you think about it there really is no point in celebrities endorsing expensive lines. Who can really afford them, besides other celebrities? The whole point of an endorsement is to make an ordinary line look extraordinary becomes of who’s wearing it. And if anyone can turn ordinary into extraordinary, it’s Vanessa.

I honestly don’t know what it is with girls and other girls. It’s not even just celebrities, it’s all females: coworkers, classmates, even friends. Whether we even think about it, we always end up trying to one-up each other. And when we can’t do that, we resort to the next best thing, downgrading and hating, whether it’s out loud or in our heads.

It’s really funny.
It seems like the vanessa-haters here follow her way more than the fans of her do. Quite hilarious. And for your information. All those haters who are saying, who cares? Look in the mirror, you do! Or else you wouldn’t be here on this thread. So technically we aren’t the pathetic ones here. You all say you hate her but it seems more that you’re obsessed with her!

Secondly maybe the reason why Vanessa didn’t say “NO” to Sears is because she knows that the vast majority of girls in this country do their school shopping in so-called “lower end” stores like Sears and not on Rodeo Drive. Comments like that only serve to make you like an out of touch snob. So why don’t you take your own advice and get a life. Since you are obviously the one who needs it.

Vanessa does look GREAT in these clothes,Sears are on to a winner having someone like Vanessa endorse this range,its very often not how much you spend on an outfit,but how you put it together that makes it look good without spending a fortune.

We have plenty of similar shops in the UK,which provide fashion clothes at affordable prices.

As a parent,I’m eternally grateful to ’school uniform’ for taking the stress out of what my daughter wears for school.!!!

So late, but WOW she is one gorgeous lady.

The commercials look great, it’s a pity I live in the UK. I hope someone YTs them so we can see. Like others have said, it’s a win-win situation, Sears couldn’t have picked a better endorser as she can make a bin bag look great. The clothes are affordable too so girls can see that it’s how you carry off an outfit that matters not the price tags. Christina Aguilera was also a Sears girl and look where she is today.

And for Vanessa, she gets paid big bucks to feature in 5 TV commercials directed by an award winning director, have her CD promoted and have her face plastered in Sears’ stores all over the nation. It’s looking like the summer of Vanessa.

This girl is one hardworker though. She went from recording her album straight to shooting Rock On and on to HSM 3 with only a one day break. From what I understand, they’re working 15hr days to finish filming before June 30 and she and Zac are the only principal cast member still filming and will continue to film till late Monday evening.

I wonder how she managed to squeeze in shooting her music video, the 8 hr Cosmogirl shoot and these 5 commercials. And once she’s done, there’s still promo for her album, rehearsal for her tours and the tours.

I really admire her hardwork at this young age and love that she works for her success but I wish she’ll pace herself more. She must be running on reserves. We love you, sweetheart but please do try and take a break soon.

I’m sure Uptown girl never thought people being in different time zones making their posts later. What amazes me is why she is up at two am on a site about someone she dislikes. Love that V is supporting affordable clothing. Not everyone in school has unlimited funds provided to them. Maybe this will show teens that you can dress for less and still look good. I’m sure more buy clothes at places like Target and Sears than some over priced boutique.
