Ryan Phillippe and girlfriend Abbie Cornish share a laugh at a friend’s barbecue in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon.
The 33-year-old Stop-Loss actor recently purcahsed a home in the Hollywood Hills for $7.175 million. The 8,300 square-foot house, which had been listed at $7.47 million, has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. There are two master suites with an office area in each, a large living room and deck for parties, and a media room with 14-foot ceilings. The outdoor living area includes a spa, a sauna and steam room, a fire pit and an Asian-style gazebo overlooking a pool.
There’s also a massive two-story gym, which is why we’ll hardly ever seen Ryan working out in public!

I think it is funny how it is revealed that Ryan bought a house quite large and it was inferred that Abbie is living with him and then the big story about Jake moving in Ree Rees PR people are working overtime. I have noticed that if anything is said publicly regarding Ryan and Abbie then there must be a front page spread on the tabs with a big picture of Reese and moving through the pain and someone who will give her the love she deserves this chick has issues I don’t care what anybody says.

During filming, you experienced another sort of celebrity: the tabloids linked you with your “Stop Loss” co-star, Ryan Phillipe, who was at the time married to Reese Witherspoon.
That was scary. I kept thinking, Don’t pay attention to what they write. This is not why I do this job. The fear is that there are so many things that you cannot control. [She shrugs.] With the media now, and especially the Internet, there is not much you can do. It’s all been crazy in the last five years. Let’s just say I try to avoid a lot of Internet culture. I don’t look myself up. [She laughs.] Although I do find it strange that the Internet and the tabloids express dislike and judge without having access to the truth. They say and do anything about anyone, and it only generates hate. But I am good at distancing myself. I just get away, get on a plane, disappear from even myself. When I act, I become someone else. And when I travel, I lose myself. It’s an interesting way to live.

Ryan and Reese both look happier than they have in years. I’m happy for them.
No one knows what really happened or what Ryan told Abbie or what he told Reese except those three. So you really can’t judge them fairly.
I agree w/#60 they all look happy and I’m happy for all of them.
I simply think Abbie cornflake is a total selfish b*tch for what she did to this family with two children. Reese came out ahead and didn’t pity herself and whine poor me like some x did for three years. Reese is a sweetheart and very classy. Even Angelina wouldn’t wreck a home with children involved.
I don’t know how you could blame this entire divorce on a third party. I really doubt they would still be together either way. And they all seem better off and happier. I’m sure they’re taking care of their kids.
Most of the damage done to children in divorce is economic not emotional. If everyone gets along and their needs are being met there is no proof that kids would be better off with the parents together especially if they’re unhappily married.
I can’t believe some of you are over analyzing their body language based on 2 or 3 snap shots. I like that Ryan and Abbie are a private couple and don’t overdue the on PDA like them celeb couples.
Abbie seems like a really simple and low maintenance girl. Ryan definietly upgraded from superficial Reese.

I would guess he is far more comfortable with a woman who doesn’t make him feel so inferior, earnings wise. I also suspect the money for his big house came from La Wither and the divorce settlement since the purchase took place just when the settlement was reached. He also has to have a place big enough to make him look equal in the eyes of his kids. Reese has more to offer them, but he has to try to keep up.
I very much doubt that she misses Ryan at all. Gyllenhaal is much more her type of person. And he is probably a better actor and better connected in Hollyweird. The only think Ryan got out of his marriage is probably his new big house. LOL
Reese and Ryan look much happier with their new partners so good luck to both sides. Their marriage obviously was not meant to be (and for quite a while).

it´s not the fact, that they don´t want to show everyone, that they´re always hugging, touching and kissing each other. a. cornish always tries to, only ryan seems like he doesn´t really respond her feelings, no matter if they´ve something going on or not.

I doubt Abbie would still be around if Ryan wasn’t responding to her feelings. They made it through the whole divorce and media hoopla which to me speaks volumes as to the state of their relationship and the feelings involved. They sure look happy.
Why dont any of you address the real issue-the low lives whose job it is to follow people around an harass them. Yeah you love the pics and it makes you feel connected to their celebrity,but they climb walls and make every occasion uncomfortable. How natural would you look if some stranger was chasing you to profit from any photo they could get?The criminal aspect needs to be addressed. This is stalking and harassment-waiting out in front of a persons house is stalking,plain and simple.I wish someone would start following these photogs to their house,photograph THEIR kids,SAY inappropriate things to their wives-give them some of their OWN medicine..Oh Yeah- NO ONE CARES ABOUT PIECES OF SH#T !!!!
there are many couples, that stay together although they don´t share the feelings they had for each other, anymore. body language says much more about reality, than the fact of staying together or not, most often. he doens´t even look at her, excepting she´s talking to him.
and nobody knows if they were together since he and r.witherspoon split. there was an interview (end of last year) in which he said, that he can only talk for himself, but they´re just close friends and nothing else. seems more like “having fun” together but nothing else.
and to be honest: i´ve never seen a picture on which he really kisses her. i only saw pictures of them, on which a.cornish puckers her lips and tries to get closer to him, but not one single pic, on which he does the same. that´s kind of weird.
I agree with Blackworm and a few others on here… Ryan and Abbie look very comfortable together. I’ve seen a lot of good compliments on this board about Abbie and I’m happy about that because like most people said , “we don’t really know what happened.” I do agree though that Reese is a PR hound and I get sick and tired of her Avon crap… 30 million for 3 years!!! How is this charity work?! Crack me up! Reese does LOVE the spotlight and I agree with Blackworm that Ryan has actually upgraded with Abbie. Good for him. I’ve also never seen Ryan smile and look so comfortable like this before….he’s always frowning in pics. with Reesey !! I like the one comment about Chinny, chin chin must be coming out of her skin. Hysterical!!!
