John Mayer performs on the Pyramid Stage at the Glastonbury Festival on Sunday in Glastonbury, Somerset, England.
Nearly 175,000 people were expected to be on site for the three-day music festival which featured headline acts Kings of Leon, rapper Jay-Z and Britpop veterans The Verve.
Duffy’s number one hit ‘Mercy’, George Harrison’s ‘My Sweet Lord’ and Cream’s ‘Crossroads’, were all covered by John Mayer this year at Glastonbury.
John, 30, told the crowd, “You all having a good time today? Thanks for letting us steal the stage for a bit. I was watching the festival on TV last night and there really is something about the European festival vibe that’s great. I’ve finally figured it out, and I don’t want to leave now.”

He’s really talented and I agree they were all good this was one of the best Glastonbury Festivals ever and Jay-Z got alot of crap but he shut the haters up. I think “Say” has a really thoughtful message.
It may remind you of old people, because the premise of the movie for which it was written is about two older men who make a list of things they want to accomplish before they “kick the bucket”.
Each of us needs to say what we need to say, especially to those we love. None of us is promised tomorrow. So say what you need to say.

I find the negativity on this forum quite astonishing. I have been a John Mayer fan for five years and I had no idea he was even going out with Jennifer Aniston. People who are actually into his music couldn’t give a flying rats **** who he’s dating. It’s completely irrelevant.
The Brits don’t like John Mayer because he doesn’t wear skinny jeans and run about the stage screaming about how depressed he supposedly is. We prefer Pete Doherty, of course, who has to be one of the most over-rated musicians on the planet. I saw Pete Doherty at Glastonbury in 2005 and it’s possibly the worst live performance I have EVER witnessed. If you want to complain about a musician who has lost it and is riding only on the press he gets from dating hot women, Doherty’s your man. Just because Mayer isn’t tanked on crack the whole time doesn’t mean he’s music isn’t worthwhile.
A quick word to the no talent hacks on here who are flaming with no valid reason. John Mayer is probably one of the biggest talents of his age, and I say that as someone who didn’t care about his music until I heard him play at Glastonbury. He blew the other acts out of the water. The guy is brimming with raw talent. Amazing guitar playing, flawless performance and an incredible song writer…why are you all obsessed with who he’s dating instead of appreciating the fact that the guy is obviously a genius!

Are you guys really bashing Mayer? I mean… really? I can understand you not liking his music. That is totally fine. Absolutely fine. You don’t like him - great. Say so. But honestly, it’s difficult making a career in music and he has made it further than any of us ever will. Further than millions upon millions of musicians ever will.
You know he’s won Grammys? Right?
You know he has PLATINUM albums. Right?
You know FENDER, the major Guitar manufacturer, has three models customized for him?
You know he’s an acclaimed singer/songwriter that is hailed by critics?
You know he’s considered wildly successful?
He is lauded in the music world by other musicians… and he’s only 30.
