OlderMeryl Streep Looks Mm-azing At Mamma Mia Premiere
Meryl Streep (n Donna Karan Resort) is a vision in red at the UK premiere of Mamma Mia! at the Odeon Cinema, Leicester Square on Monday in London.
In the film, the 59-year-old actress plays Donna Sheridan, the mother of the main character Sophie (Amanda Seyfried). Throughout the movie, Sophie plans to marry her fiancée Sky (Dominic Cooper), but wants to learn the identity of her father so he can give her away at the wedding.
So far, The Hollywood Reporter gave Mamma Mia! top marks, saying, “No matter how many blockbusters there are, Universal Pictures’ screen version of the global hit stage musical Mamma Mia! is the most fun to be had at the movies this or any other recent summer… And when Streep teams with [Christine Baranski and Julie Walters] for dynamic and crowd-pleasing numbers such as ‘Mamma Mia!’ ‘Dancing Queen’ and ‘Super Trouper,’ there’s not an audience anywhere that won’t be smiling.”
Wow, that’s a big statement. Let’s hope this does well at the box office!

I guess it is the fans who count right? Who cares what the “professionals” think when it’s the numbers that matter?
I think we need more musicals like this! In this day and age… people aren’t used to such greatness. I say if you leave a movie feeling good… you can’ ask for more. Meryl Streep was wonderful. Who knew she could sing??? I hope she has more projects coming… Hopefully this gave her a second wind! She gives hope & inspiration to anyone pushing 50!!!!

She was so awesome i just barely rented 2 weeks ago and i’ll tell ya who knew she could sing so wonderful amazing and especially where they filmed it. i watch it over and over i dont cry i bawl would love to sing in such a beautiful country it takes my breath away
I think Meryl Streep is so amazing in this particular movie and I thought there’s no way she can pull it off but she managed to do this no matter what it takes which is singing and let it loose . I say you go girlfriend ! I’ve wondered what Cher ( Meryl’s co- star ) thinks about her doing this for a living like singing infront of millions of fans from around the world ? Is there going to be another movie between the both of them in the near future as a matter of fact ? You know what though since she has been the 15 times nominated Oscar, they should allowed her to give Meryl Streep a lifetime achievement award instead come on now people cause she has worked so hard to achieved it so much and it’s time this Hollywood diva should received her own what do you say Meryl ?
