Pierce Brosnan: Mamma Mia!
Pierce Brosnan and wife Keely Shaye Smith arrive at the UK premiere of Mamma Mia at the Odeon Cinema, Leicester Square on Monday in London.
Pierce, 55, has been married to Keely, 44, since 2001 and have two sons - Dylan and Paris.
With the filming of Mamma Mia, Pierce thinks he lost some of his macho image, saying “I’m the last person you would expect to see pouncing around in platform shoes, tights and sequins. We had to do all these camp, dainty little moves and try to look butch. That was a challenge.”

yea..keeley use to be on Unsolve Mysteries, she was slender..she is still beautiful!
just because she’s not the same size as Heidi Montag doesn’t mean that she isn’t beautiful, she just doesn’t have anorexia.
You should also take in to consideration that she’s given birth to two children since her “slender” days, and that does take a toll on your body.
I think she’s really pretty, and, unlike what we normally see come out of Tinsel Town, she’s not afraid to be herself.

There is a difference from being a normal weight, even slightly overweight & being obese. She is obese. 44 is young & while she doesn’t have to be stick thin her weight is unhealthy. This woman is prone for diabetes, heart disease, high blood cholesteral, stroke, hypertension etc because of her weight. It is serious. When you have a family you owe it to your kids & your spouse to stay fit. Look - this woman doesn’t have to work & has a lot of money to have someone cook her meals & get a trainer. She isn’t like your average housewife who maybe isn’t educated about fitness/health & doesn’t have the money to buy the healthiest food & doesn’t have the time because she is working and/or taking care of the household. Keely also used to do a segment on the Today show where she talked about gardening so she knows how to grow her own fruits & vegies. I just think it is sad that she has let herself go. You don’t have to be stick skinny to look good - Meryl Streep who was on the red carpet w/ her proves that!

It may very likely be that she is on medication for some health problem. Not all actors announced their medical condition. I have a friend who is ‘obese’ because of medication and yes her organs are damaged, but due to medication, not her neglect for healthy diet.

Keeley used to be slim but has gained an awful lot of weight. I think she has emotional issues or something. You don’t get this big from a small size for no reason. She should see a therapist.

The funniest thing about these weight-watchers is that weight doesn’t say anything about the persons health.
My friend was skinnier than Keira Knightley and couldn’t walk the stairs up because of crappy health. A year later after this she was diagnosed with DIABETES and high blood-pressure. So go figure.
Obesity is not acceptable, but thinking that someone is unhealthy just because of what they look like…100% stupid.

Mari … how do you know that Keely “let herself go” as you put it?? How do we know whether or not a medical condition has caused her weight gain? Or even medication that she has to take that causes weight gain? Some of you make such hateful, critical, cruel comments - and we have NO idea what goes on in their life! And, by the way, she actually looks thinner now than she did the last time I saw a pic … so I think she is losing some weight. I think she is a beautiful woman - and God bless them both!
What is so mean & hateful about saying someone who is more than a little overweight is overweight. In this case t is a true observation. Calling her a fat cow or whale is mean but saying she need to lose some weight isn’t. She looks unhealthy, especially for someone who is 44. I agree w/ Mari. All these idiots that chime in stuff about health problems are so overdoing it. Stop making excuses for people that should just hit the gym & start eating healthy. Someone w/ health problems isn’t going to be wading around in the water in a bikini on vacation like she did. It seems if her problems were health related she would by a little more self conscious. She appears to be someone who has just let herself go which is her choice but her health is going to suffer & if Pierce loves her unconditionally that is great.
You can very well be totally healthy even if you happen to carrie extra weight! Mrs Brosnan has a curvy figure with rather slender wrists and a marked waist, she doesn´t seem flabby etc at all! A low body weight is by no means the equivalent to good health! That´s b******t as every internist know!
It´s always nice to look at the Brosnans - they seem so genuinly happy together!

She was on an ABC morning program called The Home Show & she was the gardening expert. As a very young girl she made such an impression on me because I thought she was so pretty. I also remember when she started dating Pierce because I was a huge Remington Steel fan. She was never skinny. I always remember her as having an average to fuller figure but in my opinion you don’t have to be skinny to be beautiful. However, I was horrified by her bikini pictures. It is sad that someone who is in the prime of their life would allow themselves to get that big. What I also don’t get is that she is a total environmentalist. So you care about polluting the Earth but you don’t care about polluting your body. She is also big on organic gardening - again I don’t get it. Organic foods are healthier & better for you but she isn’t practicing what she is preaching there. I don’t think she has a medical issue unless it is mental. You could tell even from her early days that she struggled w/ her weight. I am sure Pierce loves her unconditionally. You may recall that he lost his first wife to cancer so perhaps her weight may scare him a bit but in terms of it impacting his feelings for her I doubt it. He seems like a really good person. Sorry in advance to all you people that think I am a hater. I am just stating my opinion.

Peirce Brosnan’s wife is beautiful no matter what size she is. I remember when she was thin. The fact that he loves he at any size is a testament to his maturity. Many of those Hollywood types would have cast her aside for someone thinner.
Someone stated that Keely was obese. She’s not at all obese. Obese is when a persons body has no definition and they look like a blob. She still has a figure albeit a fuller figure. You know what they say…. BBW. And she is truly one in the nicest sense of the word.
