Vanessa Hudgens Jumps Through JFK
Vanessa Hudgens arrives at JFK airport in New York and makes a few phone calls as she lands and picks up her luggage on Monday.
The 19-year-old High School Musical star’s sophomore release, Identified, drops today, July 1. Vanessa’s CD will go up against John Mayer’s “Where The Light Is: John Mayer Live in Los Angeles,” which is will be released the same day.
Vanessa will be stopping by TRL on Thursday to premiere her new music video, “Sneakernight”.

she looks great to have just traveled across the country and just finishing up a tough filming schedule in Utah. I notice she has a certain ring on her right hand again now that she is not filming — I knew it would come back. My “gut feeling” is that Zac went home to his parents for the 4th of Jully holiday week. He has not been there since the Christmas/New Year’s time frame and he has said repeatedly if he gets more than a few days off he likes to go home for some “home cooking”.

Hello Zanessa, welcome to the real world. Vanessa is not restricted to tween fans. I can bet you her adult fans can give her tween fans a run for their money. Who are you to declare that only teens can love Vanessa, on what basis? I also think it is very rude to call respectable older women stupid and tell them to get a life, it would take you a long while to achieve what they’ve achieved in their lives. They actually earn their income, run a home, raise children and still have time to support an adorable young woman like Vanessa. And what do you do?
If you really like Vanessa and see her for who she is, you would be proud that she appeals to people of all ages and that she has a solid, loyal mature fanbase made up of adults that like her for her personality and potential, who are not as fickle as the tweens and who would stick out their necks for her for better or worse.
Even the teen idols are hoping to move on to fans like these. She already has them and appreciates them as she knows she needs them as she tries to move on to more grown up roles and we are here to stay so get used to us or move to the tween sites, there are many available.

I was just putting verifiable facts out there and challenging you to verify your so called fact. It’s one thing to hate a song, it’s another to say that it is a fact that it sucks, we should then lock up all the critics like Blender, Billboard and Maxim that actually thought the song was awesome as they must be 8yr olds posing as music critics, who let them in?
By the way, I’m a 33yr old finance professional, I and some of my colleagues love sneakernight. We love the vocals, the beat and the arrangement but we are gracious enough and mature enough to realise that music tastes differ and there are people that dislike the song as well though the youtube statistics and itunes chart indicate that quite a lot agree with us.

I personally like Vanessa for the person she is and admire her for her many intrinsic qualities and will continue to support her in all her undertakings. I also happen to like her album very much.

Have good close friends where I’m at and good friends on this blog. Have a wonderful dog, I adore and of course, Vanessa. She did many cameos (Still Standing, Robbery Homicide Division, The Brothers Garcia, Quintuplets, Drake & Josh, Suit Life of Zack & Cody) and 6 movies (Thirteen, Thunderbirds, HSM1&2&3, Rock On) so far. She started acting at the age of 8 and performed in many local musical theatres in various projects (Carousel, The Wizard of Oz, The King and I, The Music Man, Cinderella, etc.) before she was discovered.
No one gets this many chances if not talented. She even got the chance to record two CDs (V, Identified). Her first record debuted on the Billboard 200 in early October 2006 at number 24 on the chart, with 34,000 copies sold only that week. Since then the album became gold. In August 2007 at the 2007 Teen Choice Awards, she was named the Choice Breakout Female Singer. And not for nothing.
And let’s talk about the HSM series, OK? Do I need to recite its success? No? You surely need to refresh your memory if you state that that “garbage” movie was only seen by little girls. Let me show you this:
HSM is an Emmy Award-winning American television film. Upon its release on January 20, 2006, it was the most successful Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOM) ever produced. The film’s soundtrack was the best-selling album in the United States for 2006. This was DC’s most watched movie at its time with 7.7 million viewers in its premiere broadcast in the US that time. In the UK, it received 789,000 viewers for its premiere (and 1.2 million viewers overall during the first week), making the film the second most watched program for the DC (UK) of 2006.
The soundtrack was released on January 10, 2006 and has since risen to number one on the Billboard 200 twice (on March 1 and March 22) and had shipped 3.8 million copies on December 5, 2006. It was certified quadruple platinum by the RIAA.
The DVD of the movie was released on May 23, 2006. It created a sales record when 1.2 million copies were sold in its first six days, making it the fastest-selling television movie of all time.
In June 2006, Disney Press published HSM: the Junior Novel, the novelization of the successful film. This novel hit number one on the New York Times best-selling list and remained on the list for sixteen weeks.
The HSM movie was followed by a concert tour, an ice tour, many stage performances, a reality series and a publishing of video games.
The film was awarded and nominated for many awards, including Emmy and Teen Choice Awards.

HSM2 is debuted on August 17, 2007 on DC in the US and in Canada. The premiere brought in a total of 17.3 million viewers in the US making it, at the time, the highest-rated basic-cable broadcast in US history. Ratings for the second showing of the movie fell to 8.4 million, and the third showing fell to 7.4 million, totaling the premiere weekend to 33.04 million viewers.
In Latin America, the premiere of HSM2 was be seen by 3.3 million viewers in the north region and produced the highest rating of the channel. In the UK, the movie became DC UK’s most viewed program ever, totalling 1.2 million viewers in its first showing.
The film was generally well-received by critics, saying HSM2 was “sweet, smart, bursting with talent and energy, and awash in innocence”.
The movie was nominated for many awards as well.
It was followed by the release of the soundtrack, video games, novels, etc. but real statistics are not available at this point.
Debuting at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, Amazon.com, and iTunes Store, the album sold 615,000 copies in its initial week of release. As of September 2007, this figure amounted to the fourth-biggest first week sales of the year. It is the first soundtrack of a television movie to debut at the Billboard summit. The album also shipped double platinum (2,000,000) copies in the US in its first week of release. The album debuted on the Billboard 200 charts at #1 and remained at #1 for four consecutive weeks. In its twelfth week on the charts, the album is ranked #11. As of December 2007 the album has shipped 3 million copies in the US and more than 5 million worldwide. The album has sold 6,200,000+ million copies in less than 10 months. HSM2 was awarded Best Soundtrack Album at the 35th Annual American Music Awards.

I can go on and on about it. But you know what? SHE was part of this success and phenomenon. So she deserves all the attention and admiration she gets.
As for Vanessa’s beauty, she can be found People’s 100 World’s Most Beautiful People’s list (without makeup!) and is 26th on FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women’s list. And these were the most recent lists.
