OlderDoctor: Angelina Jolie Is Doing Very Well
Angelina Jolie’s obstetrician, Dr. Michel Sussmann, announced at a press conference that the expectant mom and the twins are doing well.
Sussman shared the news with media at the Lenval Hospital in Nice, southern France on Wednesday. He said, “[Angelina's] hospitalization at this stage of her pregnancy is strictly normal for someone who underwent a caesarean in her first pregnancy.”
Asked when Angie is expected to have her twins, he replied, “This is something you can’t program, you never know for sure. I can’t give you a date. Let’s say the birth will happen in the weeks to come.”
Sussman added, “Everything is normal. She is very well, and she’s okay. She will stay in the hospital until the birth. I will stay with her. … Brad and Angelina want everyone to know that everything is going well.”

Just want to double check guys, I watched the Today show earlier today, and didnt they call Angelina a movie starlet, instead of movie star, I heard it Meredith and Matt. Am Ihearing it right or not?
I know they are just reading from their teleprompter, but I think their writer is an idiot for calling Angelina, a small star, which what starlet means. Geez, Angelina is like the biggest star in HW and they call her a starlet, I feel like writing to them to let them know their idiocy!

I am watching Extra - it’s fun to have a few days off - and they are talking about Christie Brinkley’s divorce, and I was very surprised when she opted to have her divorce proceedings open to the public and the media. They have kids, i would think she would want to protect them from all salacious accounts that her soon to be ex is being accused of.

It is always up to the judge in the end. He made the decision to keep the trial open. There is a very high burden to meet if you want to close a courtroom to the public. Divorce is not a juvenile matter.
The children’s law guardian (guardien ad litem) filed a motion to close the proceedings and Cook’s atty joined in that motion. Christie wanted it open and her atty argued against closing it. BUT Christie issues a statement saying that she still hopes “these matters can be resolved privately.” That, friends, is called blackmail. She wants Cook to capitulate before trial or at least before the really bad stuff is on the record.
I don’t think the judge would have closed the court (divorce trials in NY State are public) even if Brinkley agreed with closing it. But it’s never good to use kids as pawns or the threat of ruining their father’s relationship with them in divorces.

The thing that gets me about the press’ commentary about the divorce is that they have such short memories. They say that airing this publicly will be detrimental to the children, but hello, as I recall, Christie found out about the affair while attending an event at her children’s school. And I’m sure that over the last two years, this subject has come up on the playground a time or two.

the real tita, i just think it’s sad, especially where kids are involved. I think their welfare and feelings should always be the number one priority over hurt and angry feelings.
I had a thought recently, X is damn lucky Brad is not like Charlie Sheen, because we all know the s**t would have hit the fan. But i bet she would have been more careful in what she did.

Saw a pic on one of the site of Brad and Maddox visiting also. Hope the papz will back off and let Angie rest. Nice that she is in a nice hospital with a beautiful view. I am sure the girls especially Shi are kinda of frighten due to mommy not being in the hospital. Shi looks like she is getting long. Look at her legs around Brad. Think her and Z like go go bare footed.

Why are these stupid haters’ panties in a twist just because of a fcuking press conference? Sheesh, most sporting events have one after a game, the winning and losing coaches, players, etc have to talk to the media (especially in NBA games). So the doctor who is treating her had a short presscon to assure everyone (most specially the fans) that Angelina is doing okay but is under observation. BFD!!!

The one I asked yesterday said Angie will give birth this friday but her doctor said the actual date will be in in the coming weeks .I am glad Angie is well. As for Friedman… so typical. Angelina said that she had a few or a couple of months to go; she said this in May; she is on bedrest in a hospital in July… I think that we’re, at least, in ‘a couple of months’ territory. And to think, some people thought that b*tch was through going after Brad and Angelina when he claimed that they told him that the twins were girls, meanwhile Angelina said that she didn’t want to know the sex of the babies.

Did any of you guys actually go to the FOX site and read Friedman’s column? It wasn’t as bad as Jossip made it sound. Yes, he was wrong because Angie never said she was due on Aug 19. DH said it, she just never bothered to correct it, but she clearly said that she didn’t want to give out the date.
Anyhoo…what Friedman said was that he didn’t blame them for lying about it (even though they didn’t) and that he thought it was the smart thing to do.
Just so we’re not giving FOX a bunch of hits…here’s the article. Aside from his basic premise being wrong - that they deliberately lied - I don’t see anything wrong with the article.

Angelina Jolie is in a Nice, France, hospital getting ready to give birth to twin girls.
In May, she said her due date was Aug. 19. Remember? Everyone believed her. Except us.
Looking at Angie at the Cannes Film Festival, we knew this was impossible. Human gestation is only nine months, we reasoned. If Angie were still preggers in August, she would have to be reclassified.
Indeed, it was clear that when she finished shooting “The Changeling” in late December she was already a couple of months pregnant. By the time the news leaked out in mid-January, she was three months with baby. When she debuted at the Indie Spirit Awards on Feb. 23, Angie was clearly four months gone.
I said in a column from Cannes that I called the due date for late June. So give or take a week, here we are.
Did Angie and Brad Pitt lie about Aug. 19? Oh, yes. Why did they lie? Well, obviously to cool off the maddening paparazzi. It was a great idea. That anyone believed it is what gets me. You couldn’t look at this woman in Cannes and not know what was about to happen.
Of course, now the fun begins: After the babies are born, I am told that People and OK! magazines are in a death match to buy the rights to the pictures. People has spent a lot of money on baby Shiloh and is ready to do it again. The OK! crew reasons that they’re more international and can lay off the price — somewhere between $8 million and $10 million — on their various editions.
It’s more than likely Angie and Brad will put the money into their Jolie-Pitt Foundation so it can be donated to needy charities and groups around the world.
But in the meantime, isn’t it nice that we guessed the date? We also told you, via Angie, that the forthcoming babies are not exactly a matched set, but fraternal. They’re still going to give Angie and Brad a run for their money. Let’s hope they’ve found a good baby nurse or two, and a couple of nannies. They’re going to need them.

LOL. When I saw that picture today I couldn’t help but wonder if Shiloh will stay blond her whole life or if her hair will turn dark like Angie’s did. I know Angie said her mother dyed her hair dark as a child, but by the time she was a teen it had turned dark on it’s own.

Exactly. People are forgetting that children can be meaner than adults. They lash out and say things to hurt another child or taunt them on purpose. At this point I doubt those kids are going to hear anything about their father that they haven’t already heard. And it’s not like she has them in the courtroom with her. Besides, the kids taunting her children are only repeating what they’ve heard their parents say. The problem isn’t the children, it’s the other parents!
#276: raye, I saw that segment too and was a lot peeved when they said starlet. I guess you don’t get to be a movie star until you acquire the Oscar award for actress in a leading role. She’s only gotten a supporting actress award so she’s still a starlet. Either that or the writer really wanted to take her down a notch. Only Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep rates as stars…or George Clooney (who wasn’t even gonna get an award until he cozied up to the right people…for supporting actor!).
