susan (some chick)-

I’m glad this conference took place. It will officially stop all the rumors.

You know, people like you will go all over the blogs and start INVENTING LIES saying” the twins were born, but had difficulties, that’s why Angie’s still in the hospital.”

This press is actually a way to STOP LIES INVENTED BY THE HATERS .

Awwwwww B U L L S H I T. Medical staff cannot hold a press conference discussing a patient unless the patient instructs them to do so and tells them everything they are allowed and not allowed to say. This is pure, unadulterated famewhoring. People everyhwere are laughing at her.

Hi AG–how are you??? I have so much to do but seems like I’ll be glued to the computer for awhile  If what I read at jjb is true the PC is at 17:30 so it should be a half an hour from now EST! I am too darn excited… BTW do you remember Beeloved she lives in Singapore , she posted this morning at jjb and she is on twin watch also

Hello to all JP fans from all over the world ((waving))

well to be fair they didn’t invite the media. The tab announced that she had the babies and the hospital pr cleared it up. I think she had the babies and the doc will make that announcement at the press conference.

I bet ange is wishing she was back in Namibia right about now. More privacy . I thought the doc said they used Helicopters and a secret entrance? I guess brad wants to show off the girls.

OMG I’M SO EXCITED

THE GIRLS LOOK SO GORGEOUS

YAY DADDY BRAD

Angie’s obstetrician, Dr. Michel Sussmann, assured the press at a news conference in the South of France Wednesday that all is well with the expectant mom, and that she and Brad Pitt want the world to know that everything’s going as expected regarding the impending delivery.

“Everything is normal,” the obstetrician said in French, as he also said in English, “She is very well, and she’s okay.”

“It is simply a visit of surveillance, no birth,” Sussmann said of his patient, who entered the hospital over the weekend. “Brad and Angie want everyone to know that everything is going well.”

Saying that Jolie’s “very, very nice,” the doctor added, “She will stay in the hospital until the birth. I will stay with her.”

What he was not specific about was the due date. “This is something you can’t program, you never know for sure,” he said.

Leave lil Z alone. Why are u mad??

Take it easy

They gave the press conference to try to give some asnwers to the press so they would leave them alone. They have more to do than to spend their days answering to every magazine, televison… out there.

LOL AT THE HATERS ARRIVING BEFORE THE FANS THEN CALLING US OBSESSED

They banned the press from entering Namibia at its borders.

####################

No they didn’t. If you’d bother to check you’d have learned that like most every country on this planet, Namibia has laws that regulate aliens who can work within its borders. Just like the US. You know those pesky work visas and green cards you need to work here?

Namibia was enforcing its alien work permit laws when paparazzi tried to work in Namibia on tourist visas.

Drama queens who are too lazy to research anything, just like their tabloid news sources, find it easier to just make stuff up. Can you imagine what these women must be like to live with? Pity the fool who hooks up with these mental cases.

soopx @ 07/02/2008 at 12:04 pm “But i wish for two healthy babies”

a fan who doesn’t want the tnkotb to be like the old kid. you know… the special one. soopx, we all wish these two come out healthy.

I don’t know about the press conference but the French are usually doing it for celebs or even non celebs like lost children who were found days later, ect.

In the case of celebs, it is usually a way to deflect the insane attention of paps who would come in the hospital disturbing all the staffs and the patients. Don’t forget that hospitals have free entries, everyone may come and go and paps could come in and take pictures while the patient is unconscious, ect.

That’s why they usually does it to gives specific informations and let them know that others would be given in due time, that they should respect the privacy and the serenity of that place and its patients in the meantime.

some chick #108 It’s better to call a press conference about babies, than your idol with her legs spread wide open.Don’t you think Trrinity?

Some Chick @ 07/02/2008 at 12:14 pm

Yeah, yeah. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid.

Think of it this way.

Remember when Tom Cruise did not present Suri for a few months, what followed was a lot of speculation. Even us mag put a CLOCK.

Now, with Angie reported at the hospital and staying for a few weeks, the same speculation will happen like the “Suri event”. The internet will be BUZZING with all rumors, speculations. Haters will be making up stories on the twins, complications etc.

This press conference is a way to prevent all these.

Go and watch Wanted playing now in theatres. No baby news for now.

#91 Mel–
Of course we have our own lives. Most of us have families, work, do hobbies, volunteer work etc.
What is wrong about being excited for this couple. I’m probably far older than you and I got up to check the news last night to see if the babies had born. Why? Because I adore this couple–I absolutely love Angie for her devotion to the world’s refugees. Having been to Africa on working/volunteer vacations–I love the fact that she is strong enough to work with the UNHCR bring the plight of these people to the world. And I love Brad for wanting to rebuild NOLA. Having lived in New Orleans for many years in the past and having developed a deep love for the city, I’m glad Brad is trying to make a difference. I
And yes, I also do live a bit vicariously through their lives. I always wanted to have a family like they have put together, but life got in the way and was unable to adopt or have more children. Their parenting styles seem similar to mine and I love their loving, rainbow family.

So what is wrong with wanting to share their joy in their twins? What is wrong with wanting to celebrate in our own small ways? Of course most of us will probably never meet them, but there is nothing wrong with celebrating the joy with and for a couple that is devoted to their family and their work and their volunteerism. Far better than celebrating Heidi Montag’s new single, Lindsay Lohan’s new movie to be, Paris Hilton’s relationship, etc. Now these are self-centered, self-serving indivduals. I’d be worried about myself if I got up in the middle of the night to check on any of them!

loonie, the lil brats are probably just fine. Press conferences can also be a way of issuing information in such a way that everyone gets it at once, there can be no wild distortions, exclusive inaccurate stories headed off at the pass.
