Chace Crawford Digs Cougars

Chace Crawford films scenes with newbie Madchen Amick for their cult series, Gossip Girl, in New York City on Thursday.

Amick, 37, will appear in the first few eps of the new season as cougar Catherine Mason and tempt Nate Archibald (Crawford, 22) with a May-December romance. In the first four or five episodes, it will also be revealed that Amick’s character will also have “a surprising connection to another new character on the show.”

I think it’s going to be an interesting plot, but can’t imagine that it’ll go anywhere more than a few episodes. What I’d really like to see is for Nate to get back with Vanessa, or barring that, Serena. He’s got so much more chemistry with them than he does with Blair and she needs to be with Chuck anyway. Chace looks absolutely gorgeous, as always.

i love serenate in the books, but its hard for me to like serenate in the show since blake lively is very average looking, and looks much older than nate/chace. not only that..she’s also very annoying on screen..she’s can’t emote. she’s going to make serenate annoying and boring.

To #36, a May/December romance is a term for when there is a large age difference between the two partners. It’s like one of them is in the ’spring’ of their youth/life while the other is getting on up there in life, ie. the autumn or winter of their life. Although, I have to say that 37 is hardly the winter of one’s life….more like mid-summer!

Madchen Amick was in the movie “Dream Lover” you must rent it! It’s a wicked movie and you won’t believe the ending!!! Awesome!!! One of my favorite!! Great Plot!!! James Spader was in it as her husband! She was so cute and super skinny in it!
