Patrick Dempsey’s Day of Thunder
Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey shows off his abs and competes at the Rolex Grand-Am Series Brumos Porsche 250 at Daytona International Speedway at Daytona Beach, Florida on Thursday.
Dempsey, 42, has been racing in his No. 40 Hyper Sport Mazda RX-8 and loving it, saying, “It allows the athletic side of my nature to come out. It’s such a nice departure from Los Angeles and Hollywood.”
“The situational awareness is basically the same,” he said. “In acting, you have to be aware of the camera. You have to have situational awareness, of what’s going on in front of you, what’s going on in behind you. There’s aggression and you have to be in control.”

Not sure how someone who bikes 100 miles a week, works out at the gym several times a week and looks like that could be considered “out of shape”. He is in perfect shape. Yum-my!
Out of Shape? I’m not seeing the fat, flab or gut. He always stays in shape to build up his stamina for racing. He looks great!!!!

I don’t get the hate. If you don’t like the guy, why waste time looking at his photos? Personally, I think he’s the hottest thing going and can’t get enough, so keep ‘em coming!

Terrible actor, can only do one thing - make puppy dog eyes at someone. He will be typecast for life as evidenced by his movie roles. There is only so long you can play the same role in everything before you look smarmy, which he is dangerously close to. Nevermind, a couple more years of Greys then he’ll be back to anonymity.
He got an Emmy guest star nom for Once & Again for playing a patient in an asylum. Iron Jawed Angels and Freedom Writers and Enchanted were not rom/coms and he received an Emmy nom for his role in GA, so I guess he doesn’t always play the same role. Some viewers and critics think he has acting chops even if you don’t..
According to E! the hot new Dr. on GA will be Kevin McKidd. Since Patrick has had no trouble out shining ED in popularity and fan base so I doubt that the likes of Kevin who? will be much of a challenge.

I am the photog who took the shots.I have spent the last few times with Patrick as he raced here in Florida. He is totally cool - regular guy. The series he races in is the real deal. This is no celeb race.He posed and took pictures with EVERY fan with a smile . Shooting celebs you never know if they are going to be full of themselves - Not Patrick
