Kelly Clarkson is TOAST
Kelly Clarkson celebrates the 4th of July by grabbing lunch at Toast Bakery Cafe with two of her close girlfriends on Friday.
The 26-year-old original American Idol is currently recording her fourth studio album with many collaborators including Sam Watters, Louis Biancaniello and Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic (”Apologize”, “Stop and Stare”). Sam and Louis also wrote and produced the song “Anytime”, which appeared on Kelly’s debut album Thankful in 2003.

Kelly is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. People that hate on her for being “normal” size says a lot about the shallowness of the character of the individual. She’s given not a soul on this forum any reason to dislike her, they’re just a sad reflection of an implacable society. As for her fans being liars about her sales, notsomuch. Her U.S. CD and download sales are right about 19M. Outside the U.S. Breakaway CD = 6M; Thankful CD = right under 1M; My December CD = right under 1M. If you count outside U.S. downloads it goes way up still. Since sales these days include all sales of singles and CDs her sales are actually higher than the poster said. If you want to talk old school and go with strictly hard copy, in the plastic jewel case, full length CDs that you buy at a store, the sales are about 19 million worldwide. But iTunes sales count too and even just counting full length CD downloads, she’s well over the 20m mark, singles aside. It seems KC fans are actually a bit more humble than you accused them of being Dan. Jealous much? Guys like you are a waste of good air. (I researched all of that just to prove you wrong, try it sometime before you run your merciless mouth.)

I love her. Her voice is insanely amazing and she has managed to be the most succesful idol ever for 6 years. She writes amazing songs and her fourth album will be fantastic.

hmmm isn’t the express and fan run website and not the official Kelly Claimant forum on her fanclub? I suppose ALL celebrities should go to their FAN run message boards and admonish their fans for being catty and making nasty remarks about other celebrites too huh? Acting like it’s Kelly’s responsibility to monitor her fans is laughable. she’s not their mother for crying out loud.
I think she looks good. I’m surprised some of you are saying she doesn’t get attention because of the way she looks, because the reality is that A) She doesn’t look for attention, like a lot of other celebs… which is probably part of why she’s wearing sunglasses and why she’s wearing black. B) She’s hott. She was on the VH1 list of hottest rockstars of this generation. Don’t forget that she was uber sexy in the Breakaway days, and is still pretty damn good looking despite the fact that she’s gained a little weight. Not to mention that I guarantee she’ll drop those pounds when the new album comes out, since she’s said herself that she’ll “workout and be healthy one month, and eat ‘ding-dongs’ the next”. lol
Believe me, you’ll see a lot from her in the next few months. She should have a single out from the album by summer’s end (it’s already been recorded… and was produced by Ryan Tedder as mentioned in the article), and the album is due by the end of the year. This album’s going to be a little more mainstream than My December, so expect an onslaught from Kelly.

Actually that is a tad exaggerated, but only depending on what you count. Wikipedia lists her worldwide CD sales as 20 million, which is still an amazing achievement either way. And despite what all of you may think, My December wasn’t a flop… it’s selling on par with her debut album. It just wasn’t a huge commercial hit… but as Kelly even said and predicted before the album’s release, it was never meant to be a commercial hit. It’s much too personal for the mainstream audience. Yet, that’s why i love My December so much… it’s so easy to relate to. I can’t wait to see what masterpieces she makes in her new album.
As for the Kelly/Carrie wars that seem to be going on, they really are uncomparable. If you wanted to be technical, yes, Kelly has an edge because she has worldwide appeal (built on her own merits, I might add… even Simon has commended her on building appeal in countries where they have no clue she won AI), but Carrie is also a respectable and talented artist in her own right. Let’s stop the wars please.

I’m am glad that Kelly is seriously like the only celebrities out there who feels that they don’t have to live in LA full time, go to the hot clubs, look fancy 24/7, try to be in the tabloids every week just to be famous and be in the public eye. I like how she still wants to live a so called normal where she still lives in Texas, hangs out with her close friends, dresses causal. Yes Kelly isn’t as skinny as she was during the Breakaway but hey at this she isn’t on the verge of dying from anorexia like many other stars out there.
One thing about about the Express I am on there everyday and I have never read any mean comments towards other celebrities and us Kelly fans are not the nastiest fans. One thing Kelly has taught us is to have class and be respectful towards others. And the obsessed Carrie fans do the same thing back at Kelly.
i love how a few pics of kelly and her friends can stir up such controversy….kelly vs. carrie. why should there be a rivalry? they are both extremely talented young women. they have both worked hard to maintain their success. it would be interesting to hear kelly and carrie’s take on this ongoing “rivalry”. as for kelly’s appearance, i think she looks cute and comfortable. she’s not trying to impress anybody. she’s just out having a good time with her friends.

And People need to learn that Kelly is not fat, i bet most people who do call her fat are infact alot bigger, leave the poor girl alone! Sure, she isn’t as thin as she was at the VMA’S 05 for example, but she isn’t fat. And what’s with the Carrie vs Kelly thing..They are both great artists, sure Kelly is international and more album sales but Carrie is great still, i hope she makes her way to Europe someday.

I only go to the Kelly express still because I like Kelly but I continue to see lots of hateful comments and not just about Carrie. They have been chasing anyone off the board since season 2 who dare to like any other idol and dare to admit it. For the curious ones. Don’t just look at the pretend fan of other idol threads. Go thru all the different topics and find the hate against Carrie and the others. You will find plenty. They like to hide their hate there.
These hateful sneaky ways are the reason Kelly has lost fans and her last album tanked in comparison to her previous one. It is also why her solo concert got cancelled. It may not be fair to Kelly but if they make you chose a idol then you are going chose one that has nicer happier fans and not deal with all the drama obnoxious obsessed Kelly fans create on and off their boards. Karma bit back on one of their most nastiest leaders on the Express board and now its biting Kelly.
Just read what they say above. If you think Kelly has gotten fat then they say you are fatter and jealous. They have always criticized Ruben or Fantasia’s weight or Jordin’s or Clay’s. They constantly call Carrie anorexic. Kelly is too heavy for her height and needs to adopt healthier dietary habits. Eating dings dongs one month and then starving the next month is the reason she can no longer control her weight. Carrie’s weight is due to healthy habits such as being a vegetarian. She doesn’t need airbrushed on magazines like Kelly. I do like Kelly singing but I think she is being deceptive and a hypocritic when she pretends to be happy with her larger size but then gets airbrushed on magazine covers.
They will now attack for me for saying the truth above. I will also be attacked for commenting that Kelly’s hair looks frizzy in the photos. The black dress doesn’t hide the bulging calves and knees. Her recent videos are disappointing as well. She needs to stop imitating Amy Lee both in makeup and video production. She has already been accused of imitating Avril.
Just a final note. I hear Carrie on country AND POP stations all the time. She is both a country and pop superstar. I only hear Kelly on country radio with the Reba duet. America loves Carrie and if Kelly continues to insist on releasing more poorly written songs then she is going to end up just being a star overseas like David Hasselhoff.
I have still never read one negative thing about any other celebrities on the Express. They don’t leave mean comments about others if so it is in a polite manner. I have never read any criticisms about others. Let Kelly live the lifestyle style that she feels. She looks normal in this picture. She is not too heavy and by the way Kelly is a vegetarian now. Kelly can it ding-dongs if she damn feels like it, the only time she starved herself was when she was in high school ten years ago. Thank the lord a friend catched on to what she was doing and helped her if not who knows what would have happened. Why should it bother you they she has here hair in this picture, it didn’t bother Kelly one bit, that is a good reason how she doesn’t give in into the no nonsense Hollywood lifestyle which is something she doesn’t take interest in. Just because she is famous doesn’t mean she has to look glamorous all the time. She said one time she could give crap about being a star she would rather sing and wright.
The main reason My December tanked is because of the stupid jack a$$ Clive Davis who gave it negative reviews before it was ever released because he was just mad that she didn’t scrap any songs like he wanted and she made this album all her own with the people she trusts like a few guys from her band, she produced it herself and didn’t use any of the labels top songwriters, producers. It didn’t have good promotion, maybe if it did it would have down better. That is an insult to Kelly by you saying if she releases more poorly written songs that she is going to end up like David Hasselhoff you are wrong. Kelly is an amazingly gifted songwriter. Let’s see she wrote Because of You when she was sixteen and the song ended up being no. 1 in the world, she co-wrote Behind These Hazel Eyes which is amazing, she wrote Never Again which is a really great song even though it is a bitter song (Kelly herself even says that), she also co-wrote Miss Independent and Walk Away which both of those songs are amazing. There are plenty of other songs off all three of her albums that she wrote herself that were not singles and are still amazing like Addicted, Sober, Irvine, How I Feel, Thankful, Hear Me, etc. Kelly has a whole better style than Avril and is a better singer by far so why would she want to imitate Avril. If Kelly took the country route she will kick Carrie’s a$$. Kelly is better at country than her. If you don’t believe me check the video of her singing Why Haven’t I Heard from the CMT Reba Giants special.
So leave Kelly along what did she ever do to you except giving you great music. She is one of the most down-to-earth person ever, has respect for others.
