It wasn’t televised; i tracked it online. I guess NBC will show it tomorrow after the men’s final especially if the match ends in straight sets.

I think things have calmed down. There are less stories and Brad Angelina and the kids have been able to go unseen for months.

Not true. Putrid’s parents were very accepting and very fond of Brad. Brad was particularly close to Putrid’s father, Bruce Paltrow. It was PUTRID who was the snob. Her paretns always spoke well of Brad. Blythe Danner, on the few occasions she still gets asked about Brad, still has nothing but nice things to say about him. She knows it was Putrid who fcuked up. That’s one reason why Putrid’s cheating was such a hard blow for Brad. He’d already been accepted by her family and even though he knew of her snobbishness her disdain for his roots really didn’t become crystal clear to him until AFTER he found out she’d cheated and he dumped her. And of course Brad’s family really liked Putrid - even Grandma Betty…

Brad downgraded from Putrid to X and then snagged the ultimate upgrade - Angelina Jolie.

As for what Putrid was so snobby about? Entitlement, that’s what. She grew up in a wealthy family and people like that don’t always care where the money came from. She went to exclusive private schools and crap like that. The irony of course is that I’m sure some of the kids she went to school with looked down on HER because her parents didn’t come from old money and she was Jewish on top of it. In the crowd she grew up with they tend to be pretty harsh on non-WASPs. Although, IIRC her grandfather was in banking, so there may be some old money in the family on her mother’s side. Plus, she’s only Jewish on her father’s side.

As for Putrid’s parents - well, her father was a TV producer, director and writer for critical darlings like St. Elsewhere, Homicide and The White Shadow. He had a lot of friends in the industry and was well-respected.

But, you’re misleading when it comes to Blythe Danner. In her day she would have been more B-list than C-list. She’s won a couple of Emmys and a Tony (Butterflies Are Free). She’s well-known for her versatitlity because she’s always been able to move easily from one medium to the next - stage, tv and movies. I always liked Blythe Danner so I found it disturbing that she could raise a child as snobbish, shallow and self-centered as Putrid. The apple usually doesn’t fall too far from the tree, but in this case it seems to have fallen pretty damned far because Danner has never come off as a snob the way Putrid does.
