OlderHigh School Musical 3 Trailer — Coming July 13!
The trailer for High School Musical 3: Senior Year will premiere @ 7:55PM ET/PT on Sunday, July 13, on the Disney Channel. The online launch kicks off on Disney.com July 14 @ 12:01AM ET.
“We’re paying homage to the fans by debuting our first look on the very network that launched the franchise,” said Mark Zoradi, president, Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group. “‘High School Musical’ is a worldwide phenomenon and as such, it is important to pursue a nearly simultaneous launch of the first look to fans everywhere, employing our online venue, Disney.com, as well as our international Disney Channels and Jetix platforms.”
Hosted by Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, and including the song “Now or Never” from High School Musical 3: Senior Year, the trailer features all new footage from the highly anticipated movie, which is slated for release Oct. 24, 2008.
The High School Musical 3: Senior Year soundtrack from Walt Disney Records will be in stores Oct. 21, 2008.

This is TRULY a phenomenon!!!!!!!! It’s like our generation of Grease and incredible that these kids inspire so many people today to sing and dance. They have brought back so much interest in the concept of musicals and we love them all!!!

I saw a little preview for it. It’s cute. However the cast is not coming back after this one thankfully and the idiots up at Disney should know that trying to continue it after this movie is a VERY bad idea. Just let it end well.
So is it really true that Zac and Vanessa are going to be doing Footloose, directed by Kenny Ortega? AND a remake of West Side Story? Also directed by Kenny.

#34 The remaike of “Footloose” to be directed by Kenny Ortega and starring Zac has been a rumor for about a year. Apparently “The Insider”: has confirmed it. If it’s true I’m not sure it’s the best choice for Zac but I’ll guess we’ll just have to see.
Vanessa has said her dream role is Maria from “West Side Story”, which is was played by Natalie Wood in the Oscar winning film. I haven’t heard anything about a remake.
They’re going to show “all new footage from the highly anticipated movie…” Does that mean we get to see the entire movie? :lol

Who in their right mind on this site is comparing it to GREASE???? Not in a million years will this be considered a real musical like Hairspray or Mamma Mia or Grease. Anything that films for such a short time and comes out just as fast is worthless.
It is simply a disney movie with little kids all gah gah over Zac Efron and his romantic interest. Tweens will love it …..it will make million…but it will stink when compared to real musicals.
Blah. blah, blah. Who cares? So much hype for such a worthless piece of nothing.
However, it’s gonna make those disney kids very rich and infamous! They will be so rich Zac can buy his own island and he and Vanessa could marry and hide there forever on their private jet. What do you think about that tweenie-boppers?

Haven’t been to one for a good couple of years. Will make the extra effort for High School Musical 3, Seventeen, Rock On and Me and Oscar Wilde and I’ll definitely follow up with the Dvds for all Vanessa’s Movies as I’m her fan.
I really think Vanessa would be great in the role of Maria for ‘West Side Story”.
I’ll be sure to keep the tv turned off that night. I really tried to watch HSM 2 but it was just so dumb I had to flip it off.
#41 “Little Miss Sunshine” was filmed in a month and that was nominated for Best Picture. “Waterworld” took months to film and was a bomb and has pretty much been forgotten. My point is the length a movie is in production is not synanonamous with quality.
“High School Musical” has actors that really sing and dance. So I would say it is every bit as real a musical as “Hairspray” or “Grease.” Why would it be compared with “Mama Mia” Yes it’s a musicial but it’s a completely different story for a completely different audience.
It would make as much sense to compare “HSM3″ to “Sweeney Todd.” In other words it makes no sense at all.

I also think V would be awesome as Maria in Westside story. She’s just 19 though. I think she’ll get her opportunity to enact different roles that showcase her talents. We have a lot to look forward to.

That was one of the best interviews of Vanessa yet, thanks for posting.
She was very sweet and poised and handled the questions very well, especially the one about the scandal. I’m so proud of her. Her parents have gone and raised a lovely young woman with a sensible head on her shoulders. She looked so tired but so beautiful as well. Love her.

There are always a few people that will state their opinion and oppose a movie that their own personal self do not like. There is, however, a fine line of foolishness when one assumes that all fans of HSM are “tweeny boppers” because its a Disney Film.
The three posters on page 2 who adamantly insist on it being an awful movie full of less than stellar actors… I’m sorry to say, but your posts have a sense of BITTERNESS to them… :)
Inspite of it all… can’t you bitter people just be happy for these kids who are living out their dream? Or better yet, for the people that love them, tweens, teens or adults… life is alot better with positive thinking for yourself and for other people. Who cares if there’s another one??? In the press conference back in April, the original casts did say that they are not trying to top the first two HSM movies but just to finish the East High Wildcat’s final chapter by doing the third and final installment of HSM. The original HSM casts had great and fun times filming these 3 movies, and really enjoy their close friendship relation amont each other. However, they are growing up and needed to move on to their future adventure; and hopefully down the road, the original ten cast members will regroup and do another movie together (something other than a musical or high school movie).
I, for one, will definitely go and watch HSM3 in theater. You could definitely see the close friendship that they all have for each other in the two HSM movies.
